Ryan's POV:
I arrived home at 4 to check on my angel, just like I promised. But when I saw the front door wide open and not a trace of her scent in the house, I lost it.
I ran inside the house, hoping my smell was wrong and that she was in the house. I searched every room and every bathroom, I even screamed her name but there was no sign of her. My Lou, where did she go? I just hope she's safe.
'Lorraine is gone I want everyone to search for her. NO EXCEPTIONS' I mind linked the pack, I needed everyone to search for her, I had to find her.
Maybe it's time to tell her the whole truth...But I was going to tell her everything after I find out what happened.
'But what if she knows the truth and ran away because of it?' Well I'm not giving up on her, and plus the mate-bond should fucking help me attract her not push her away.
The thought of her escaping made my heart ache.
I shifted immediately into a wolf and ran in the direction where I could smell her scent, it could fade any moment now that's why I ran faster. Fortunately her smell was becoming stronger and stronger, that's how I knew I was on the right track.
All I could think about at the moment was her, where could she go? She couldn't find the town this easily so she must be stuck in the forest. I did not give a fuck if she saw me shift, I just wanted her to come back...
I'm thanking the moon Goddess that my house is in the middle of the woods because Lou wouldn't go so far, she would get lost because of all those trees.
After I ran for almost three hours now, I finally sensed her presence. Theo my beta and Simon the third in command joined me about an hour ago, we suddenly stopped in the middle of nowhere because we knew she was here, but we still couldn't find her. I could sense her breathing becoming louder and louder.
I then tilted my head up a little bit, and I couldn't believe it. The sky was a little dark now, the trees were mostly covering it, and on one of the branches, way up a tree, my angel was sleeping peacefully. Her back was pressed to the trunk, her legs resting on the branch and her head tilting to the front, her beautiful chocolate brown eyes were closed and her chest was moving slowly up and down.
'Why did she escape?' Was all I could think about.
'We found her guys, you can return back to the pack house.' Theo telepathically said to the pack.
I shifted into my human form while Theo and Simon stayed in their wolf form. I was butt naked but fuck if I cared. All I wanted to do was take her home with me.
I started climbing the tree, slowly approaching her, trying my best not to make any noise and wake her up. When I arrived to her branch and circled my arms around her waist, she opened her eyes immediately and started screaming when she saw me.
She couldn't stop moving, trying to escape from me. When we were half-way down the tree she jumped which made her scream in pain, her leg was still not completely recovered and it pained her when she landed harshly on it. It hurt me even more to look at her in pain.
She started running again but Theo and Simon encircled her, she tried backing away but her back slammed into a tree.
"AHHHHH! You gottta be shitting me! Help me, help me please!" She cried.
Taking this as an opportunity she started climbing the tree but I came in time and wrapped my arms around her waist pushing her down to fall into my arms. I held her tight this time, she didn't stop trashing around. Why was she doing this.
"Stop, it's me Ryan." I whispered softly in her ear but it's like she didn't listen and wanted to escape from me.
"What's wrong? What happened? Did you run away?" I asked but still no answer.
She managed to get away but I caught her and fell right on top of her. A very intimate position, I liked it a lot to be honest, but I needed to calm myself down or my little buddy here would loose control and believe me, there's nothing little about him.
Theo and Simon were right behind me, still in their wolf form.
'You can go now I don't need you anymore.' I mind linked them, and as soon as they heard me they left us alone.
"Stop, don't touch me, get away from me you beast!" She screamed while jerking around under me.
If she didn't stop moving I would do her with no hesitation. She was as beautiful as a Goddess!
"What's wrong? What have I done?" I said flabbergasted at her reaction.
"You have fucking transformed into a wolf that's what you've done! You're a monster...LEAVE ME ALONE!" She screamed and started sobbing.
"Don't kill me p-please..." She whispered tiredly. I furrowed my eyes, I would never hurt her but I will eat her someday, not in that way, no, she'll scream my name from pleasure, I'm telling you. But seeing her cry made me upset.
"I think it's time to tell you the truth..." I said slowly, trying to get up but not letting her go since she would escape again.
I sat her down in front of me and that's when she looked down, she saw my fucking erection. Her cheeks became red and she looked away immediately. She seriously had to stop being so cute, It's already difficult to control myself right now.
"I'm a werewolf, the Alpha actually. I have a pack of werewolves too, you know what werewolves are right?"
She didn't answer, still looking at the tree next to her.
"A werewolf is a-"
"I know what werewolves are, they're just not supposed to exist, they only exist in fairy tales!" She said in a DUH! tone while glaring at me with her red puffy beautiful eyes.
"Well we do exist and there's one right in front of you." I said calmly trying not to scare her off.
"This is wrong, this isn't real! I must be dreaming...What do you even want from me?" She asked with tears filling her eyes more. No please don't fucking cry or I'll lose it. I can't stand seeing her so broken while I'm not capable of helping her, or when I'm the reason...
"All werewolves have mates, mates are like soulmates, the moon Goddess picks up two strangers from the beginning and mates them together, we're all mated to someone before we're even alive. Once we find our mates, we can't live without them by our side, we're simultaneously attracted to the other, they're our purpose to live, without them we would kill ourselves. The thing is, we love them without even knowing." I said while reading her face expression, all I could figure out was that she was fucking shocked.
She knew exactly what I was going to say next...And was actually avoiding it.
"And you Lorraine Queen, just happened to be my mate." I said quietly while she didn't say anything. She was now looking at the ground full of leaves.
"Will you please say anything?" I begged, yes, I was desperate, I was even shocked of my own reaction when I begged her.
What the fuck is wrong with me ? What the fuck is this amazing girl doing to me?
"How could you possibly expect an answer from me when I'm forced to stay with someone I barely even know? Proclaiming that I'm his mate? And the fact that you didn't even choose to love me for who I am but to love me because I'm your mate is repulsive!" She said still shocked, looking me straight in the eyes with a very disgusted feeling.
"What? Don't you want me to love you?" I said starting to get angry.
"That's not what I meant, what I mean was that you don't have a choice and you were mated to me without your own will, if nothing of this existed, you wouldn't even be with someone like me." She said ashamed of herself.
"And it's too bad I don't believe in soulmates..." She mumbled, but knew exactly that I would hear her. And I was devastated.
But what she said got me thinking twice about the situation. If the mate-bond didn't exist I wouldn't even notice her, a demon like me doesn't deserve an angel like her. But thank God that it exists, this way I got to know her and better yet, I'm fucking mated to her. She is mine now.
"Aren't you happy that we're mated then? If it didn't exist you probably wouldn't have noticed me too, I don't deserve you but I'm thanking the moon Goddess so fucking much that she mated me with an amazing girl like you." I said raising my voice a bit.
"Stop saying that when you don't even know me, if you knew me properly you'd try everything to stay away from me. This is not you this is the mate thing, you're not attracted to me, no one will ever be." She mumbled the last part which broke my heart, why was she thinking like that?
"Can't you see you're under the mate-bond influence?" She said while getting up leaving me thinking about everything she was saying.
"Can't you see that in reality you would never choose me?" She spoke softly and sobbed when she realized what she said was true, to her anyway, before running away again.
"You are not escaping from me again. I'm much faster than you!" I screamed while running behind her.
I wrapped my arms around her waist, and threw her over my shoulder while running towards my house. She'll try to escape again and I have to do something to prevent it, lock the doors and windows wasn't enough, I had to assign her body guards, and even tell Maya to convince Lou to stay with me. She'd have friends here, she could start a new life with me.
"No...Leave me be...You don't want me, you never will..." She cried harshly while hitting me on my naked back.
"WILL YOU FUCKING STOP ? WHY CAN'T YOU ACCEPT THE FACT THAT I ONLY WANT YOU? YOU ARE MINE, ONLY MINE!" I shouted at her, stopping in my tracks in the process, and I soon regretted my action when she cried louder. Why was she talking trash about herself, I will never accept anyone not even herself talking trash about my girl.
