I wake up tangled in Hopes and my limbs I look at Hopes sleeping figure with her bare back on display and my eyes catch on to a small mark which looks like a birthmark. I run my hand over it I've never seen anything like it. Hope stirs in her sleep and opens one eye and looks at me and smiles a smile which I return to her.
"What's this?" I say tracing the birthmark "It's a birthmark" I purse my lips and look at her "Yea I know that part but I've never seen one shaped like this" she chuckles lightly and shifts in her position "it's because I'm apart of the crescent moon pack it's only found on werewolf's that are apart of the pack, my mum was alpha"
"So your alpha now?" She nods "But whatever is left of the pack has dispersed to be with their family trying to live a normal life" she frowns and I know she is envious of people who live a normal life
"Once malvitore is gone we can do the same life a normal life exploring the world....and maybe have a family I promise I'll try my best to make it happen" she smiles brighter and I feel my heart flutter "I'd love that"
"Good...the family part in like the next 100-200 years though," I say as I get up and start getting ready I hear her laugh as I walk to the bathroom

After getting ready I was immediately ambushed after walking out of my room to have Lizzie take me to Alaric's office where He explained that he is going on a road trip and I'm coming with him so he can keep an eye on me since I haven't been feeding. So now I'm currently in a minivan with Lizzie Josie Dorian Emma Hope and Alaric to find this urn that Alaric threw in a lake while slug drunk.
"Alaric this van is very white of you" Alaric looks offended at Dorian's comment "It's retro" Lizzie scoffs "It's a gas-guzzling atrocity on wheels"
"I bought snacks," hope says as she grabs some food from her bag "Oh, sweet. Did you pack them before or after you decided to FOMO your way onto our trip?" Hope scoffs and looks at Lizzie "Like I'm gonna let you guys chase monsters without me?"
"I would've thought you wanted to spend the break canoodling with your tribrid girlfriend especially since I've noticed that after morning glow on you two" I smirk and I see hope blushing in the mirror but quickly covers it
"Sorry for wanting to protect the outside world from my mistakes. You know, there's currently an urn on a river cruise spreading plagues across America because I thought a unicorn was cute. It's called accountability. Maybe there's a bracelet for it" I chuckle but I hope this argument doesn't last the whole trip
"Ohh Or maybe you just wanted to ruin yet another Saltzman spring break" guess it will last the whole trip "When have I ever ruined a spring break?" Before Lizzie could answer Alaric interjects
"Girls? We're gonna be in this classic automobile for six hours, all right? So, no bickering"
"It would help if it wasn't a thousand degrees in here. I'm burning up" Hope says as she fans herself "You're burning up. Now, that's ironic"
"What does that even mean?" Hope says as she looks at Lizzie confused this trip is already killing me and we haven't even got to the monster yet maybe I can just compel Lizzie
"Don't play dumb. I see you. I see right through you" Lizzie makes a weird gesture with her hands "I don't know what you're talking about. What happened to playing nice?"
"Over. Done. I'm getting back to me. I am who I am right Josie" Lizzie looks to Josie who has her headphones on Lizzie leans over and taps her "Josie?" Josie takes out her headphones and looks at Lizzie "Sorry?"
"Josie, you cannot leave me alone with just her for company" Lizzie attempt to whisper I roll my eyes "I'm here too but you could just be quiet" she looks at me and I give her an innocent smile and she ignores me and turns back to Josie
"I get carsick if I don't listen to music" Josie puts back in her earphones "Josie!" Lizzie hits her on the arm and it turns into all three of them fighting you definitely wouldn't believe these three are powerful witches
"Girls!" They continue arguing "Girls There's no reason to be tense or awkward, okay? Now knock it off. We're gonna get
through this together. God help us all"
"Yay Road trip," I say unamused

After Lizzie and Hope arguing; Josie throwing up three times and Lizzie constantly asking if we are there yet we finally can drop off Dorian at a lake so that he can look for the urn. After 10 more minutes in the van, we make it to Maple Hollows me, Josie, Hope and Lizzie split off into groups of two me and hope didn't find anything even after compelling people we regroup
"Fun fact this town has the biggest ball of yarn in the country. And nobody's seen anything strange" Josie says as we all regroup I raise an eyebrow at the 'Fun fact'
"This isn't exactly a hotspot of activity. Our hopes of finding anything are going up in smoke" Lizzie says and Hope looks at her like she just figured something out
"Wait, are you passive-aggressively referring to that fire in my dorm room three years ago?"
"You mean the one that you set on purpose to sabotage our spring break trip with our dad? No, Hope. Why would I talk about that?" I already know their gonna continue arguing so I take it upon myself to go somewhere else "I'm just going..." I look at them and they aren't listening just glaring at each other so I walk off hoping to feed since I'm on the verge of losing control of my hunger I spot a couple and compel them. The guilt of feeding has faded I'm part vampire I need blood to survive and I think Hope will have to just deal with it. Once I'm done I walk back into town and hear some sort of buzzing noise
I look up and see a swarm of bugs fly towards the town I spot the rest of the group and they start running so I follow them into some building they seem surprised to see me
"Where did you go?" Hope asks me "Away from your twos bickering" she looks at me suspiciously but ignores it and asks "Anyone know what that's all about?" I gesture towards the window which is covered in bugs "No but it looks like the only sigh of a monster was when we-" Hope stops talking when the bugs mysteriously fall from the window "we need to find your dad"

"You together?" The lady asks we currently in some tent to get Josie some medicine for her weird boil
"Yeah, you know, we just came in from Roanoke to see that giant ball of yarn you guys have," Alaric tells her I guess that yarn information came in handy "And these are?" The lady asks
"This is my wife Emma" he puts an arm around Emma and gestures to the twins and Hope "Uh..these are my daughters from my first marriage" he looks at me trying to think of something since I don't exactly look like any of them with the dark hair green eyes and tanned skin "And, Uh Ava here is..." the best thing to say is a family friend or Hope's girlfriend but no the twins had other plans "My girlfriend" the twins and Hope say and I mentally facepalm and the lady looks at me with a suspicious look "yep we have a lot of fun," I say with a fake smirk but mentally gagging at the thought and I can see the three girls all blushing she looks convinced and looks back at her clipboard
"Go ahead through there" she points towards an area and we all walk through once we reach our destination I feel a tap on my shoulder I look over and see Hope I give her a sultry smile "Hello" she shakes her head and smiles "Don't look, but that guy over there was outside of Seylah's house when we were in Kansas, with the fake gas leak" I look over and see the curly headed man
"I said don't look" I chuckle and look back at her "We should tell Alaric" we go and tell Alaric and find out that there also looking for the urn which puts Dorian in danger after telling him. Me and Hope go and sit with the twins while Alaric speaks to creepy Clarke.
"Hey, who is that guy?" Lizzie asks looking towards us "This creep we met in Kansas
when you guys were in Europe"
"Why were you in Kansas? Oh, wait, let me guess, it involved you insinuating yourself into a situation where only you could be the hero" Lizzie says to Hope and I already know this is gonna turn into another argument I don't like arguing especially over something so stupid Hope looks to her
"As a matter of fact, yeah" I just tune out the rest of the conversation looking around at people some got stung but some seem to just be seeking shelter away from the bugs I'm snapped out of my thoughts when I feel a hand grab on to me and lift me out of the chair I look to Hope and she seems angry she pulls us over to Clarke and Alaric
"Thought I recognized Kelly and Jessica right?" I see Hope grimace and I chuckle "it's Hope actually and this is Ava" he ignores her and me and looks back to Alaric
"I wasn't sure if it was a coincidence, so we searched your van. We know you're Alaric Saltzman, headmaster of the Salvatore School. We know a lot about it. You have a terrific reputation" I chuckle when he says terrific reputation it's a supernatural school led by a human and the school is going downhill quickly with this malvitore situation.
"Leave the school out of this" Alaric snaps at him and he just looks unbothered "Look, I applaud your school's mission. If you do your job right, makes mine easier"
"Well, I have an entire town that needs to forget what they've seen today. You know, usually, it's convincing a farmer in Nebraska he didn't see a chimaera, you know, or a few ice fishermen in Minnesota that it wasn't a yeti that ate their best friend. This is an entire town. It's different. We could use the assistance of a vampire" I sigh knowing I'm about to have a bunch of work unloaded onto me. Hope and Alaric look at me and eventually, Clarke looks at me I huff in annoyance and nod to Alaric

After compelling a bunch of people from the town and compelling a lady to steal the urn the group of us finally defeated the mummy by ripping off its scarab we now waiting in the car for the lady I compelled to bring it to us
"So, Where is she?" Alaric asks "she will be here" after a few moments the lady walks out of the trees with the urn "there" she passes me the urn and I smile at her "thank you make sure to lay low for a while" she nods and says your welcome and walks off.
"Alright then let's go home," Alaric says as he starts the car but in front of us is Clarke and they have Dorian and Emma "They have Dorian and Emma" Alaric huffs and takes the urn from me and gets out of the car after a while I see him pass the urn to Clarke and he drives off everyone returns back to our car and we start to make our way back to school is silence
"If you thought that I said all those things about you, then you hating me all these years makes perfect sense. But with a father and a grandfather like mine, I'm probably not immune to those issues myself. I don't take it lightly and I would never make fun of you for it" Hope says to Lizzie and I can't help but think about the pressure Hope has having the name Mikaelson
"I believe you," Lizzie tells her I smile at least one thing is going good this trip hope and Lizzie might make up "What I don't get is why anyone would accuse me of that. Who did you hear it from?" I see Lizzie looks at Josie and realisation appears on Hope's face knowing it was Josie that said those things

We all make it back to the school I go straight to my room after Alaric thanks me for the help and I mention the fact vampires should be drinking human blood and witches should be doing offensive magic since a lot is changing but he seems to just shrug it off. I'm in my room writing in my book I need to get the belongings from Bonnie and Damon hopefully the ashes of the dead people that I going to bring back after a while Hope walks into the room and sits next to me she doesn't seem angry some I'm guessing everyone made up
"Hey love" she smiles "Hey gorgeous" I definitely like that nickname "so did you find out why Josie said those things?" She sighs and explains everything from Josie writing a note to her and doing a fire spell under her door which is what caused the fire
"So Josie had a crush on you?" She chuckles lightly "yea, jealous?"
"Yes I'm devastated" I dramatically put a hand to my head like I'm going to feint she laughs and grabs my hand and places a kiss on top of it "so have you figured out who's gonna be the anchor"
"Yes Landon" she sighs "you don't even know if he's what you say he is" I shrug "I could just snap his neck It would be way fast than waiting for him to die" she smacks me lightly on the arm "No it's only a theory"
"It's a win-win I snap his neck he either dies or comes back and ends up being the anchor also you need to convince him I'm not sure if I'm on his good side yet or I'll just make him do it," I say with a smirk and she just shakes her head
"Come on let's go to bed" I gasp "What a scandal Hope Mikaelson inviting me to bed" she chuckles and pushes me down on the bed and climbs on top of me and starts kissing me This is gonna be a fun night
