As per usual I wake up in Hope's arms and it's probably become my favourite place in the world. After explaining everything last night and my worries I expected Hope to lash out or break up with me but she did the opposite she was grateful and happy but requested that I never keep secrets again which I agree with rather quickly.
Once I did she jumped on me and we had a night of 'passion' and I loved every second of it. She didn't like that I forced Landon into being the anchor but I apologised and she forgave me so I would call the whole ordeal a success.
I lightly trace random circles across Hope's back which I've noticed eases her stress and relaxes her she lets out a happy sigh as she begins to wake up she opens her eyes and looks too me "Mornings are becoming my favourite time of the day" I bite my lip and begin to kiss her shoulder "It can always get better" I say though kisses she chuckles and flips over and I can't help but stare at her chest I feel her fingers direct my face towards her so we are looking at each other
"My eyes are up here and I wish I could but I have to help Lizzie with making a cake you should come, she's still kinda mad at you for that comment you made yesterday it's the perfect opportunity to apologise" I groan and pull the covers over my head
"Lizzie is dramatic I wouldn't actually hurt her" she stands up and walks towards the bathroom
"well if you want to feel Lizzie's wrath for the rest of school then don't apologise" I huff in annoyance and roll my eyes I think I'd be able to live with it but that doesn't come out of my mouth
"I'll come with" I get up and join hope in the shower 'to save water' is what I tell her and get ready once we both finish we get a knock on the door I open it to reveal MG
"Hey Alaric needs you guys in his office" we both nod and follow MG to Alaric's office we walk in a see Emma there too Alaric nods to us and presses a little machine and Landon's voices come through
"Hey, Ric. Sorry to take off like that, but I just needed a little time. So I'm going camping for a while. Hopefully, I can catch up on classwork later. Tell Raf and Jed hi for me"
My eyes slightly widen if Landon's not here that means I can't protect him bloody hell
"Jed? Why would he say hi to Jed? You should go after him. Something doesn't make sense" Hope tells him expressing her concern Alaric just looks at her "Hope..."
"Triad already tried to come for him once. It's not safe for him out there" I wish Alaric just let me kill all these triad imbeciles
"We kept a massive secret from him, and I think he just needs some time to process that. I think we should respect his privacy and just wait" Alaric is an idiot I drag Hope out of the office with me and I don't stop until we are in our room I stop and look at her
"I'm gonna do a locator spell if Landon dies somehow before the full moon the other side will be destroyed before I can get a bloody chance to bring them back" she nods Landon was not a smart choice to be the anchor
"Come on we can both do it after we meet with Lizzie" I nod and we walk to the kitchen to find Lizzie once we do I look around and it looks like a bomb of cake supplies exploded in here
"Was there a monster attack in here?" Hope says as she walks closer to Lizzie and she looks up from what she was doing
"There you are..." she looks at me and I give her a nervous smile I've never been one to apologise "...And why are you here?" I roll my eyes
"I came to apologise for what I said I was having a bad day and you just happened to be the person to piss me off" she scoffs not the best apology but she not getting better than that
"Whatever there are more important things to do, I got tired of waiting, so I attempted a banana cream pie by myself" Hope and I look around for the pie "where is it?" Hope asks her still searching for the pie
"In the garbage. I said, "attempted." So we're gonna go back to plan A, and you are gonna make it for me. Status update: Josie didn't come back last night. I think she slept in Penelope's room, which is a really good way to get hepatitis B" Lizzie explains frantically and I look at her with a confused look
"Why is Josie mad at you?" Lizzie just huffs in annoyance but starts to explain anyway
"She's mad because she believes I only think about myself blah blah blah either way I don't want her to be mad at me so now I and hope have a plan to help each other I get my sister back and she gets her friend back" I just blink a few times at her watching her ramble on I nod and Hope speaks up
"Have you got any sleep? You seem a little..."
"Focused? Motivated? On point? Sure. Yeah. Not sleeping in the same bedroom means that Twin Forgiveness Cuddle is off the table. But she's been holed up in the library, so a snack offering should do the trick" I slightly chuckle and Hope smacks me on the arm
"At some point, you might actually have to apologize," Hope tells her and Lizzie gasps like we just told her the most stupid thing
"Never. Apologise Trust me, okay? This is what we do. I'm selfish, then she sulks, and then I offer baked goods" I roll my eyes because I just apologised and Lizzie and I seem fine now
"Someone else's baked good" I chuckle again and Hope smiles at me "I'm gonna go check on Josie meet you there" they both nod and I make my way to the library I see Josie at the table with a bunch of books surrounding her I walk over and see it's a bunch of book with one page ripped out "What you looking for? It seems someone doesn't want you looking for it"
She looks up at me and sends me a small smile which I return "Something about the merge" I think for a few minutes I heard that before.
"Hmm I might know something about it I heard about it I just don't know where I saw it"
"Thanks that helps a lot," she says sarcastically I roll my eyes and get an idea "Come here we can rack my brain for it" I hold my hands up and I give her a look to see if it's okay and she nods I place my hands on her head and think about where I saw it catch a glimpse of the word merge and enter the memory with Josie
Me and Josie stand in a room which looks like my old childhood bedroom until I catch onto a 10-year-old me I hold onto Josie's hand and walk over slowly. Younger me is on her knees with her back facing us I look over her shoulder and see that younger me is holding my mother's grimoire. I get a closer look and see there's a page with the word merge on it my head snaps the door when my mother walks in I pull me and Josie back and watch the scene unfold
"What are you doing my little witch," my mother says to my younger self she stands up with an apologetic look "I just wanted to practice some spells I'm sorry I shouldn't have done it without asking"
My mother just chuckles lightly and picks the younger me up "It's okay my little witch you know your the greatest witch to ever live I will not stop you from practising but tell me next time so I can supervise" younger me nods eagerly I feel tears form in my eyes as I watch the scene unfold of my mother and younger me walking away laughing with each other I close my eyes and when I open them again we are back in the school library
I feel tears slipping down my face and Josie squeezes my hands I let go and wipe my face as Hope and Lizzie walk over "I'll get my grimoires and bring them to you later" I stand and Hope gives me a confused look as I walk away to my room.
I gather up all the grimoires that I collected when me and Penelope went into town the first day and put them into a box I keep my own with me since I don't let people look at it and I know there isn't a merge spell in there. The merge spell is in my mother's grimoire but I can't exactly just ask for it she will want something in return I sigh in annoyance as I lay down for a minute replaying the happy memories of my childhood.
After a while, I get up and write Hope a note that I'm going to town to do a locator spell so that Emma doesn't know. I walk out of the school to my car I get in a drive away once I'm far enough I get out and walk into the woods for some privacy.
I set everything up and let a few drops of my blood drip onto the map to begin the spell once I'm finished I have a trail along the map. I start clearing everything and that's when I hear footsteps behind me I sigh in annoyance
"Mother if you're going to try and sneak up on me at least try being snea-" I cut off my sentence as I turn around and lock eyes with a brunette with green eyes I raise an eyebrow in confusion
"Sorry disappoint but I'm not your mother" the girl explains with a heavy English accent I scoff at her response "Clearly, Who are you?"
"Nora Hildegard your mother sent me"
"Am I supposed to know who you are?" The girl smirks slightly she goes to speak but I cut her off "Actually don't answer that I don't care to listen to my mother's mind games" I stand up and begin to walk away and then suddenly she's in front of me
"I know how to stop the merge im a former member of the Gemini coven," she tells me with a smirk and amused tone how to the hell did my mother know that I was looking for a solution to that
"What is my mother offering you?" She looks slightly shocked that I asked but quickly covers her shocked face
"Your mother brought me back to life and she going to bring back my love if I stop this merge for the twins" I chuckle lightly
"Any chance in a team swap I can give you everything my mother can maybe, even more, all I want is for you to tell me where she is"
"She said you would say something like that and that it is a lie that you would do anything to deceive the people around if it meant getting what you want " I let out a massive laugh at my mother's supposed words and walk past her
"I'd say you just described my mother perfectly" I'm still laughing as I jump into my car I start the car and Nora gets in and looks out the window
"What are you doing?" She doesn't even glance at me "I'm coming with you"
"Why?" I see that my bracelet is glowing which means Hope needs me so I just cut her off before she can say anything "doesn't matter I need to go" I start driving to the school once we reach the school we both get out and enter the school to see a bunch of students running around as men in uniform hold guns
"Is it normally like this?"
"No, kill anyone with guns you help me I help you" I look at her and she nods she raises her hand to do a spell but nothing happens
"There blocking our magic let's just find Hope" I sigh and continue walking in the school staying out of sight of anyone in a uniform we finally reach Alaric's office and walk in we see Hope Lizzie and Josie looking for something "Hello what's going on out there?" They all look at us with the confusion they seem to be looking at Nora
"This is Nora she's the answer to all your problems.." I say while pointing at the twins "well the merge problem"
"I didn't say I was helping yet" I shrug and turn back to Hope "so what happening out there?"
"Triad they are blocking our magic and making us search for the last artefact"
"I could just kill them all?" Hope gives me a disapproving look and I just go sit down while they search Nora follows me sitting next to me.
"Are gonna help?" I look to Hope is staring daggers at Nora who seems oblivious to it "Nope I'm gonna sit here until something becomes a threat" I exhale and close my eyes
"For a supernatural school this is quite boring" I look to Nora "Today has been kinda tame compared to the last couple of days...I think we fought a Medusa last" Nora's eyes widen and I chuckle
"Why are you here again?" Me and Nora look to Hope who has narrowed eyes "Because I know how to break the merge I was a part of the Gemini coven long ago" this peak Lizzie and Josie's interest but before they could say anything a man in a uniform walked in holding a gun I stand up and we all walk in front of him
"You're not very scared of me are you?" He points the gun at us "How about now?" Hope steps forward and chuckles "That's your plan? You're gonna shoot a kid?"
"This gun would never harm a human child. You five, however... These bullets were formed from the mud of the Malivore pit and weaponized by Triad scientists. They can break the skin of any supernatural like a hot knife through butter. Fester. Infect them. Disintegrate them from the inside out"
"Can I kill him now?" I speak up and Hope shakes her head
"We don't know where the chalice is" the guy chuckles "I believe you this is just for fun" she starts to pick between us on who's gonna get shot and as he shoots I snatch the gun off him with my vamp speed but it's too late since he shoots three shots all I know is that one shot goes into Josie's shoulder he glares at me while crushing the gun in my hand and drop it
"Take them to the cellar"

"What the hell is wrong with you?" Lizzie asks Josie who seems to be dying "With me? You practically begged him to shoot you"
"Because, if I'm destined to die in my prime, it may as well be in a blaze of hero glory" Nora turns to me as they carry on arguing "Are they always like this?"
"No they're in a fight at the moment" she nods and a guard comes over knocking on the gate "Hey! keep it down in there"
"We're not in the prison yard, asshat" Lizzie shouts to him and he walks away
"You guys, I'm so sorry. I mean, I dragged you both into this, and I have absolutely no idea how to get us out of it" Hope sighs and huffs in annoyance
"If you just let me do it my way we can be free and go get Landon"
"You can't just go and kill them Alaric told us not to do anything stupid" Hope shouts at me
"They tried to kill Josie we are currently stuck here and believe it or not Alaric is stupid I don't know what he talking about half the time..." I look over to the twins and they give me an annoyed look "no offence"
"Who's Alaric?" I look to Nora "A human trying to control young supernatural beings"
"I don't know about you guys but Josie is dying and Landon could be dead by now so I'm doing this my way" I need to take charge Hope doesn't know what to do and Lizzie is freaking out because her sister is dying.
I walk up to the gate and whistle and the guard comes over "I said to keep quiet!" I roll my eyes and grab onto him as he is about to hit the gate with a baton I knock him out against the gate crouch down and grab the key on his waistband and unlock the door I look to Lizzie
"I'm going to turn off whatever is blocking our magic and then you siphon the poison out" Lizzie nods and I walk out I hear two pairs of footsteps I turn around and look to Nora "You stay here your the only protection for the twins and when I come back I'll bring back your girlfriend or love of your life or whatever" she nods "and you can speak to them about the merge"
"Do you even know how to bring someone back?" I shrug at her question I've only done it once so this whole thing could be pointless but either way, I'll figure it out.
I walk out with Hope and she looks at me "I don't like your methods but you're a natural leader"
"Thanks but I'm doing so Landon doesn't ruin everything I've worked towards" she smiles lightly and we run into MG "Hey I was just about to come get you guys I found the thing that is blocking the magic it's like blood fountain"
"Take us to it"

"I don't suppose this comes with an instruction Manuel" Me and Hope are staring at the blood fountain having no clue how to turn it off. I hear footsteps coming through the tunnel I look over stepping in front of Hope as Alaric walks out "I told you to wait for me" I roll my eyes Hope turns to him
"In a shocking turn of events, we ignored you" I smirk at Hope's response she should not listen to Alaric more often
"Yeah, Hope, about that..."
"Save the speech. Okay? I've paid the price" Hope states before he can continue "I see that. What happened to your arm? And your shoulder? He points to Hope's jacket and my top which now has a gunshot hole in it.
"The triad guy shot at us we must not have felt it because it doesn't affect us " I shrug off his concern and he relaxes for a second but his eyes widen again "Who else got shot?"
"Dr Saltzman, you have to trust me. Josie's gonna be just..."
"Josie got shot!"
"Yes, but MG Lizzie and someone named Nora is on it, and I think that they can fix everything. If I can just figure out a way to turn this stupid thing off, then they can get their magic back" Alaric walks up to the totem and draws a symbol of it and it stops the blood flowing.
"Which is super easy, apparently. How did you know how to do that?" I guess Alaric is slightly helpful
"This is a dark object, created by a group of extinct witch-like people called the Travelers. Anti-magic was kind of their thing"
"We need to go" I interject getting slightly bored of their useless conversation Hope and Alaric nod and me and Hope go to walk away she stops and looks back to Alaric
"Wait give her a vial if my blood from the werewolf cures" he looks at her confused "Just trust me," she tells him and we continue

Me and Hope made it to the triad facility and flight a headless horseman with Landon who also is malivores son I didn't even try to understand the whole situation just the important parts like malivore was made with the blood of a witch werewolf and vampire and he later had two sons Clarke and Landon. Clarke who just threw the last artefact in the black pit and Landon snaps his neck with the headless horseman's whip
I look at him slightly impressed "okay any ideas would be appreciated because I think this malivore guy is waking up" Hope walks up to Landon and whispers I'm sorry and snaps his neck my eyes widen "What the hell hope!....I wanted to do that" she rolls her eyes and walks over to me
"I have an idea but you're not gonna like it...Kiss me" I oblige and we kiss passionately we break the kiss once we both need air "I love you Ava and I'm sorry" I chuckle but confusion takes over when I see she's being serious
" I love you too but you're not about to do what I think your gonn-" she snaps my neck and everything goes black.
I wake up with a terribly sore neck and look around to see my surroundings I see an ash-covered Landon I'm guessing he's about to wake up my eye widen suddenly as my heart begins to burn at my last moments before I died I get up and look over the railing to see a massive whole where malivore used to be. The burning in my heart only increases as I realise what has happened I fall to my knees as tears escape my eyes my thoughts become chaotic but one thought stands out the most
Turn it off
And that's exactly what I do
