I wake up and I'm instantly engulfed in Hope's dark and woody scent it brings a smile to my face and I open my eyes and see that Hope is sat near the window painting I guess there is no lessons today "hey"
She looks over and gives me shy smile "Hi" I smile at her nervousness "You smell really nice" I don't know why I said it but definitely didn't regret once I saw her cheeks turn a shade darker
"Um..Thanks" I chuckle and get up and grab my clothes and I start to take off my sleepwear I remember Hope mentioning that I can shower and use her stuff to wash myself but I can't figure out how to use the shower "Hope" I can hear her muffled answer "Yes?" I open the door
"I don't know how to use the shower"
I hear her chuckle lightly "Its ok I'll teach you it's real ea..." she cuts off her sentence as she walks in and looks at my state and clears her throat she avoids my eyes and quickly turns on the shower while I watch over her shoulder.
she looks back at me and I hear her heart beat faster I'm guessing at the closest of us both she clears her throat again and as she walks out I can see her cheeks darker red and a smile on her face.
I jump in the shower and wash myself and then get out and change I walk out and see that Hope is still painting I walk over and see that she drawing a bird which is absolutely amazing "That's amazing" She looks up at me and smiles "Thank you, do you draw?"
"Yes I do I loved it as a child and reading" I say as I look down at her and once again I'm appreciating her beauty it's kinda hard not to after a few seconds I finally look away "By the way are students allow to go into town" I've decided that I want to get some clothes and other things since I don't want to keep mooching off of Hope and I'm also hungry "Um normally yes but im not sure about you sorry your gonna have to ask Alaric" It doesn't shock me im new and I don't know where I would even be going and he probably doesn't trust me just yet "Okay I'll ask him now" I bid her a goodbye.
I try to remember the way to Alarics office after wondering for a while I bump into a tall girl with black hair and green eyes she eyes me for a second "Sorry didn't see you there" my thick English accent drips off the words I speak and then she extends her hand "It's no problem I'm Penelope park" I look at her hand confused she quirks an perfect eyebrow I grab it and look at her she wiggles my hand with hers I let go of her hand "Umm I'm Ava Williams could you direct me to Alarics office" she sends me a flirty look "Of course follow me" we start to walk to Alarics office
"So what are you?"
I look at her confused "what type of supernatural being are you?"
"Oh...I'm a tribrid" she looks at me shocked for second but it quickly turns back into her flirty grin.
"Wow" im very confused on why people are shocked by this yes I was the only tribrid in my time but I would have thought that maybe there would be new ones after a while but I guess not "Are me and hope the only tribrids"
"Yes she's the first tribrid known...Wait hold on how old are you? " I'm not sure how to answer I'm technically 17 but since I've been in that coffin for over 795 years my immortal life would be 820 "I guess I'm 820 but I was turned at 17 and I had been daggered in a coffin for 795 years" once again she looks shocked
"I guess your the first tribrid then" I shrug "I guess so" she looks at me "Well if you ever want to I can show you around mistic falls" I look at her and analysis her I can tell she is flirting she is beautiful yes but not as beautiful as Hope
"I was actually about to ask Alaric to see if I can go into town I need new clothes" she perks up "Well I'd love to accompany you if you like. Alaric might like it better if you go with someone"
I don't see the harm in it so I nod at her we arrive at Alarics office and knock "hello Alaric I'd like to go into to town and get some other stuff if I'm allowed Penelope will accompany me" he looks hesitant at the idea but can't seem to think of an excuse for me not too "Okay but there are rules no feeding on the locals and no using your magic" I nod at him feeling a bit annoyed that I won't be able to feed but he did say locals so maybe if I can find someone from out of town "Thank you Alaric"
"It's doctor saltzman"
I ignore him and walk out I look over to Penelope "Do you have a car?" She shakes her head. "How long is the walk?"
"About 30 minutes"
I Huff "Do you know how to drive?" She nods her head and we walk outside "What are you doing?" she asks as I walk over to a car "We are borrowing this one" I mutter a spell and the door unlocks I open the door for Penelope and give her a wink and a smirk and go round the other side and she unlocks it for me.
We start to drive "So why did you get daggered?" A frown forms on my face
"I lost control" she looks at me for a second then her eyes return to the road "You mean feeding on people?" I nod remembering my unstoppable bloodthirst not that I couldn't stop but my parents thought I couldn't so they did it by daggering me. I enjoyed being free being able to get away from my parents and them treating me like a weapon that can only protect them and my family feeding just enhanced the feeling of being free.
"Well I'm glad your undaggered I already know we are gonna be good friends" i look over to her and she has a smirk on her face I chuckle and spend the rest of the ride watching out the window looking at all the people and the marketplace.
She stops outside a tall building that looks like a clothing store we walk in. I pick out some clothes I contemplate how I'm going to pay for this I walk over to the store assistant and she seems to be the only one working "Hello did you need help with anything?" I look at her and start compelling her "Yes I do everything I have here is for free"
"Of course" she smiles at me and I get Penelopes attention so we can leave "You know I could have just paid for that"
"Why would you when I have compulsion?"i continue walking and hear a couple speaking it seems they are not from around here since the have a accent and decide that it's time for snack I put all my clothes in the car which could last me a year "I'm going to get snack" I tell Penelope "Alaric said not to feed on the locals"
I chuckle "That's why I'm not feeding on the locals" I walk towards the sound of their voices and I find them sitting down on a bench I walk up them with a smile "hello my names Ava" they look up at me "Hello" yea their definitely not locals there accent is strong I think it's Italian "so what brings you to mystic falls?" They look at me confused probably about how I know they aren't from around here.
I chuckle lightly "It's the accent that gives you away" they laugh "We are just here on a little vacation"
I smile at them then give a smug look to Penelope I look back at them "Your both going to come with me" I start with the man but quickly compel the girl and we all walk into a quiet alleyway "Don't scream don't struggle" and with that I sink my teeth into the man's neck making sure not take too much I let go of him then do the same to girl.
Once I finish I look back to Penelope who watches with a unbothered look I bite into my wrist and shove my blood down the man's throat and then the woman "Forget this ever happened forget our faces" they nod and walk away I wipe the blood from my mouth and look at Penelope
"I think I'm gonna like this place"
