I've spent most of the morning avoiding Hope like the plague like I did yesterday she's mad at me and I'm mad at her so it's best that I stay here where I find comfort and with the news of Josie leaving since she's under the influence of black magic and then coming being back I'm sure Hope will end up being the hero risking her life and us getting into another argument.
So I've been sitting in the library all morning and I'm nearing finishing the library which I'm very proud of myself for That's until my silence is interrupted by someone clearing their throat I know exactly who it is I could sense her once she stepped into the room.
I look up from the 6th book until my last and meet the eyes of Lizzie and Hope I look longly at the book in my hands and close it.
Lizzie goes into a whole explanation about how Josie wants to do the merge now and I feel bad for her since she definitely can't beat the black magic Josie but I don't want really want to get involved after the last time I tried to help.
"So you need my help?" I stare at Lizzie with a smirk if I'm going to be forced to help then going to enjoy it.
"I won't beg you but yes I do"
I stand up and walk towards Lizzie "It sounds like you need to beg"
"I know you and me aren't on good terms at the moment but we need your help"
I look at Hope with a look of indifference "So now my help is needed now"
Hope goes to say something but I look back at Lizzie cutting her off "I'll help I have a friend and we can do a little merge simulation l"
"What do you mean 'merge simulation'?"
"All the books on the merge were brunt so we can't find a solution so the only solution is you winning this merge..."
"I can't kill josie"
I ignore her comment and carry on "we can do a merge you versus me mental battle one that can't kill you Nora told me about it if you can beat me you can beat Josie so make your choice kill or be killed"
"So I kill my sister or she kills me?" Lizzie waves her hands around dramatically as much as Lizzie has grown on me helping just got it thrown back in my face with Hope so what says this won't do the same either way ill help but ill also be realistic.
"Yes"
"Is there any other way?" I look at Hope and purse my lips
"I'll call Nora she'll get here quick we can practice until she gets here but I don't know any other way. How long you got until the merge?"
"3 hours"
I bite my lip and shrug acting unbothered even though I am slightly sad that this could possibly end up in Lizzie's death "You should have come to me sooner"
"Can I speak to you for a moment?" Hope says and I turn to her and look at her in thought but shake my head I need to help Lizzie even with my doubts.
"Me and Lizzie have much to do in a short amount of time and no distractions so if this doesn't work maybe you should figure out another plan...someplace else" A hurt look passed through her eyes and it hurt me to see but she hurt me too and I can't help but think she deserves it since she was being a hypocrite.
I look back to Lizzie "Come on I'll call Nora" I grab Lizzie's arm and direct her to my room for quiet.

"You should forgive Hope" I roll my eyes I begin collecting everything I need and placing it on the floor where Lizzie is sitting.
"This is what happens between me and Hope she throws herself in the face of danger totally forgetting about the people who love her then once she defeats this danger she says that she will try to change but then she goes and does it again and when I do the same thing she gets mad at me"
I sit on the floor and for once Lizzie is speechless and I enjoy it I grab the knife and look at her "So how does this work?"
"I'll do most of the work once I'm on the verge of killing you I back out you might faint or something like that but it's only for a couple of minutes this is just a simulation"
"Why can't you just teach me to back out?"
"Because once you do back out Josie will still want to kill you and you don't have enough power to do so..."
I raise an eyebrow in thought "...Well maybe you do I'm not sure witches like Hope and Dark Josie can do it.. probably...To be honest I don't have a clue I was on my no humanity stage when I learnt about this and I stopped listening to everything else after Nora taught me how to do it"
Lizzie looks at me in disbelief and I just shrug "If you don't completely know how to do it maybe we should wait for the person who can?"
"No, not enough time I messaged Nora she is gonna be here in like an hour" I frown when Lizzie's face turns into a worried one
"Don't worry Lizzie I know this isn't the most ideal situation but I'm sure Hope can figure something out if she can't then you need to try and win and as I said I'll be doing most of the work"
I grab the knife and I hear Lizzie mutter "That's what I'm worried about" under her breath, I smile gently at least she isn't losing her attitude I pass her the knife
"I heal quickly so we are gonna have to start the simulation before my hand closes up just repeat after me"
she nods and takes the knife bringing it along her hand and leaving a large cut she passes me the knife and I do the same quickly dropping the knife and connecting our hands.
I start to chant the spell and Lizzie starts to repeat after me not long after I take over Lizzie's consciousness but pull out just before it kills her.
Once we exit the merge simulation she falls unconscious after a couple of minutes she wakes back up
"Did I win?" I frown and shake my head it was fairly easy to beat her but hopefully, this practice will help her fight back and if she does end up winning in a simulation then I will die but come back to life
"Ready to go again?" she nods and we try again
After about 6 more tries of Lizzie losing I can feel her getting stronger but not enough if Lizzie can make me struggle a bit then she should be able to beat Josie but she is far from making me struggle.
she falls unconscious again just as Hope walks in "What did you do?"
"I killed her..." I smirk as Hope looks at me in shock "...just joking she'll wake up soon"
"How is this helping her?"
"It is actually I can feel her getting stronger she is far away from being able to beat Josie but if we practice more then she should be"
"Well, Nora is here" I nod and stand up looking at the unconscious girl it might take a while for her to wake up since she wasted a lot of power during that last round.
I pick her up and put her on my bed facing Hope again "let's go"

After my awkward walk with Hope, her trying to speak to me and I simply answered with one word answers I'm not ready to forgive her and I will speak to her once this crisis has passed.
We make it to the main entrance and we see Nora walk around looking at the interior I smile to myself seeing Nora again it is good we speak on the phone as much as I can but it's good to see her in person.
"Hello Nora," I say with a smile on my face and she turns around and a smile spreads on her face she vamp speeds over and embraces me I chuckle lightly.
"It's good to see you even if the circumstances are not the best" I nod and step out of her embrace
"Let's go we have about 2 hours before the merge" I turn back around and see Hope looking at Nora with amber eyes.
"Hope?" she looks at me and her eyes fade back to blue "Yes?"
"Did you find any other solutions?"
"Working on one"
I give her a look to continue but she just stares at me "Are you going to share the potential solution?"
"No sorry no distractions you can go do more of your merge practice somewhere else"
She sends me a fake smile and walks off and I hear Nora snicker beside me I look at her "Not. one. word"
I start walking towards my room "Trouble in Paradise"
"What did I just say?" I pick up the speed eager to get back to my room
"It's good to get things off your chest"
She says in a mocking tone and I roll my eyes "Shut up, not everyone can have a happy marriage away from the drama"
"She's a mikaelson what did you expect"
We make it back to my room and I couldn't be more grateful I see Lizzie sitting up on the bed "Hey, you feeling okay?"
"No, I'm not Ava I don't see a way of me getting out of this alive"
I sigh and sit next to her "You're getting stronger Lizzie and now Noras here hopefully we can think of a way to stop this or avoid it"
"There isn't a way to avoid or stop it unless one of you becomes a Heretic or vampire but if you don't want that then you can practice more which Ava told me you have been doing"
I frown and look to Lizzie who looks downcast "Okay great so now the choice is to kill my sister or become a vampire"
"I'm going to check in with Hope you can practice with Nora until I'm back"
I walk out when she doesn't respond I've never had a sibling but I would be devastated if I had the choice Lizzie has to make.
I check a couple of rooms and find Hope and MG in Alaric's office "There isn't any way to stop the merge"
"So your heretic girl friend is useless?" Hope uses an emphasis on the word girl friend and I roll my eyes as I walk further into the room grabbing a drink
"Tell me your plan"

"Does this stupid plan only work if I win?"
Lizzie exclaims we are still in my room while Hope explains her plan about giving Lizzie a potion that will create a safe space in her mind and divide the twin's consciousness and we will detox Josie
"Well technically yes"
"But... we believe in you," MG says with his signature friendly smile
"Well, there's your first mistake right there, okay? I am my biggest fan and even I know that Lord Josiemort is gonna squash me like a bug"
I chuckle slightly but stop short when Lizzie gives me a glare "Listen Lizzie you're getting stronger you can do this with more practice"
"What're my chances of winning?"
I look to Nora "She is powerful but she needs more practice she nearly beat me...Nearly"
She says the last bit with a smirk and I shake my head in amusement "so you have like a 50/50 chance"
"Well the merge is an hour how do you expect me to win"
I shrug and she huffs and walks out slamming the door I turn to Nora "Want a tour?"
She nods and I turn to Hope and Mg Hope seems to be burning with anger and Mg just stares at her afraid "Come get me if you need anything?"
"We won't," Hope says and storms out I roll my eyes and look to Mg and he nods before leaving
"Seems little tribrid is jealous"
"Yes even though she's still friends with a boy who she kissed and is in love with her"
I start walking out and I hear a light chuckle and Nora's footsteps "Seems you need to talk to each other"
"I will after this merge crisis"

After I finished showing Nora around I went to check on Lizzie to find out that she left and now it was time for the merge.
So now watching my girlfriend put her life in danger again since I was told to not get involved and there is a plan.
Josie raises Hope in the air about to stake her on a broken pillar of the ring "So, any last words for your tombstone?"
"I know you're in there, Josie. Fight"
Josie drops her and I shake about to catch her but stop when I see Lizzie and Mg walk in catching Hope before she can get impaled on the pillar
"I should have mentioned this earlier. But black really isn't your colour."
"You're late to your own funeral"
"No. I am right on time to kick your ass"
the crowd starts to cheer and she makes her way into the ring I follow into the ring and Lizzie turns to Hope "This stupid potion of yours is gonna work, right? Because it tasted like feet"
"It will if you win. Thanks for coming back"
"Like I had a choice. Dirty trick, sending Jiminy Cricket after me" Lizzie says as she points to MG
"You would've done the right thing if I was here or not. Now siphon me. You got to be at full strength"
Lizzie looks at him and grabs him by the back of the neck kissing him after a second she pulls back.
"Just to be clear, that was for you and not me. Just in case I lose"
She turns to me and smiles I give her a little nod of encouragement and she walks over to Josie "All right, Sister Satan. Let's dance, but I'm not getting my Merge on until I know that the rest of the school is safe"
Josie shouts to everyone to get out which they do "For the record, this huge act of selflessness fully cancels out all of my previous misdeeds"
Lizzie shouts and I hear some girl say 'no it doesn't' I smirk I know I haven't been here for long to see what Lizzie was like before but she definitely changed since I first started this school and she's in a bad position at the moment.
An idea pops into my head if I can take the dark magic out of Josie Lizzie will no longer be in this bad position.
I never learnt how to do this spell it was one of my mothers but I remember the spell I look around and the last of the students have left. Okay hopefully this works
I vamp speed forward and place my hands on the side of Josie's head and begin to chant the spell my mother use to do for witch friends of the Williams coven I hear the gasps and it is probably Lizzie and Hope.
Josie's eyes begin to turn black as do mine I hear someone get thrown across the room I carry on chanting the spell and my veins begin to burn as I feel the black magic enter my body.
I let go and step back I look at Josie who's now on the floor unconscious but her appearance has changed back to her normal self I feel a liquid run down my nose and bring my hand up to pull it back and see black blood.
I groan as my head starts to feel light-headed I fall to my knees and I feel arms coming around me "Ava what was that?"
"I adsorbed her black magic," I say in a raspy voice and the last thing I see is Hope starting at me in concern.
