Everything was back to normal well not really the mikaelsons were understanding but still mad they went back to New Orleans after I took them out of the prison world after they said their goodbyes.
And as expected I was voted to stay as headmaster with one vote against me who I'm guessing was Josie even kaleb said that I should stay probably the fact I let them drink human blood.
And I've been avoiding Hope I feel guilty but she's just brushing it off but I can't forgive myself for what I did to her.
But in times like this I can't avoid Hope we are all sitting in the gym trying to figure out Cleo's muse power I still don't trust her but I don't have anyone proof of her doing anything wrong. I'm just sitting down in the back drawing in my journal as the super squad figures it out I can feel Hope's eyes on me every so often but I ignore it and keep drawing.
"Any inspiration with your art?" I look up and connect my eye with Hope's and I shake my head I don't have much inspiration I've only been drawing Ryker since he's the only thing on my mind
I'm not quite sure if I'm going to let him into my life he didn't do anything wrong I believe him when he said he didn't know about my mother being pregnant but honestly, I'm scared to have another father figure in my life.
And also the fact I still have yet to reverse my mother's spell I have no reason to since I feel like it would be a power grab I don't need more power but I feel like I can be able to protect the school more and learn about my true heritage first-hand.
I still feel eyes on me and look up and see Hope staring at me like she wants to figure out what I'm thinking I give her a tight-lipped smile.
I look over her shoulder and look at the board full of ideas and not one has worked I stand up "You should let it come naturally and trying to force it to work isn't working so I'll figure something out while we wait"
I grab my journal and walk out that's when I feel a hand grab my arm I turn to look and see Hope
"I have an idea"
"What idea?"
"We need to do some research first"
"Take Kaleb to help find me when you figure it out"
She looks down at my arm which she is still holding "I was hoping you could help and if we could talk"
"Take kaleb and once you finished your plan then we can talk"
I try to walk away but Hope's hand stays on mine and I turn back to her and she has a frown on her face
"Ava please I feel like you're punishing me for what happened"
My chest tightens "That's not what's happening I'm punishing myself since you don't want to do it"
"Ava I forgive you my dad forgives you my family may be mad but they understand why you did it so just forgive yourself"
I shake my head "Take Kaleb and find me once you have finished"
I walk away and go straight to my office and sit down with a huff I have signed some papers so now I'll actually get paid for being headmaster.
I was actually thinking I would give the headmaster position to Klaus or Caroline or maybe both of them I don't really want to be responsible for a bunch of kids. I don't sign the papers and push them aside I open my drawer and pull out the spell and study for a minute to make sure it's safe and not some sort of death spell.
It seems to be just a complex version of a reversed magic spell I put the spell down and my eyes catch onto the necklace on my desk I pick it up and stare at it I was given back to me by Hope.
My door opens and in walks Hope I put down the necklace as she comes and sits down on the chair in front of my desk
"You should wear it"
I ignore her words and lean back in my chair "What did you find?"
"Kaleb and Cleo is going to ask Alaric for some help looking through triad's records"
I nod I've allowed Alaric to still come on the school grounds to see Lizzie I'm pretty sure he working at mystic falls high now.
"And your plan?"
"The prison world is bound to The Necromancer so if we sever The Necromancer's ties to it, the prison world will collapse and destroys everything inside of it, including Malivore"
I nod "It's a good plan"
"Thank you. Can't take all the credit. Now all we need to do is find our necrotic friend and make him an offer. His blood and the duplicate ascendant we need for the severing spell and in exchange, I will free him from the prison world"
I now shake my head "No"
"Don't worry, I'm gonna screw him over I just need to figure out how"
"Okay is it safe?"
"It is. I'm going to do a Astral projection. The Necromancer can see different planes of existence, so he should be able to see but not touch, maim, or kill you"
I nod and stand up "Okay take Landon with you"
"Ava..." she trails off with a hopeful look in her eyes and a frown on her face
"If it's safe you don't need back up and Landon is smart he can help"
"Are you going to do it?"
I look at her confused "Do what?"
"Reverse the spell"
I look at her for a moment biting my lip in thought "Im not sure yet but if I do I want you to be the one who does it"
She nods and I grab my journal and I go to grab the necklace I look at it for a moment and sigh I pick it up and look back to Hope
"Put it on me?"
She smiles and gets up quickly I pass the necklace to her and turn around brushing my hair out of the way, she puts it on.
I twirl the 'M' pendant in my fingers and let go of it I turn around to face Hope "I'm going to be busy but if anything goes wrong then come get me"
"What are you doing?"
"I'm giving the headmaster position away I was thinking maybe... Klaus or Caroline I'm going to do an astral projection to them"
"Oh, why would you do that? you just won the vote"
"I don't want it I just don't want Alaric having it he shouldn't be headmaster"
"Okay well I think it's a good idea maybe offer it to both of them and they can be co-Headmasters"
I smile genuinely for the first time since I came out of that cage "Caroline would probably make Klaus go crazy with all her planning for mystic fall pageants and parties"
Hope chuckles lightly and then looks at me with a nervous smile "Umm maybe after this is over we could go on a date?..." I go to answer but she cuts me off " I mean if you want we can do whatever you want to do"
"Sure Hope but you are planning it"
She smiles brightly and I notice how much I've missed it "Great ill come speak to you, after I'm finished"

I've set everything up in my office for the astral projection I think I'm going to visit Klaus first to get it over with I kneel down in the circle and close my eyes and when I finished the spell I open my eyes and I'm in an office with Klaus and a blonde woman.
My eyes grow wide when I realise what they are doing I clear my throat and Klaus turns around my eyes bulge out of my head when I notice the blonde woman is Caroline
"Caroline?"
"Ava, what are you doing here?"
I look away awkwardly and notice this looks similar to Freya's office but a bit different "I'm here with an offer for the both of you"
"And what offer is that?" Klaus asks as he walks closer to me I can look him in eye after what I just witnessed
"Umm I wanted to offer the headmaster position to one of you or both of you"
I finally meet his eyes and he looks in thought so does Caroline "I still have to find information on the merge that's why I left"
"I'll deal with that"
She raises an eyebrow "How?"
"Well my first thought would be one of them turning into a heretic but that's only if I don't find any information on it before it's closer to their 22nd birthday"
She sends me a smile and jumps up and tries to hug me I chuckle lightly "Astral projection"
"Oh well, I would love to be headmaster what about you?"
she turns to Klaus and he smiles and nods and she squeals excitedly "This is going to be amazing I have a binder full of party ideas..." she gasps dramatically "I don't have it with me don't worry we can make another"
Klaus shakes his head with a smile and mutters 'what have I gotten myself into' under his breath, Caroline must have heard because she throws a pen at him I smile and bring down the astral projection down.
When I open my eyes I'm back in my office I sigh and stand up that when I catch onto some noise I thought it may be some students in class but it's Landon's annoying voice.
I walk out of my office and start walking towards the noise I make it to Hope's room and Josie and landon are standing over Hope who's sitting on the floor
"What's happening?"
Josie and Landon turn and look at me with a worried expressions "We was in the prison world and Hope got bit by some weird monster thing"
My eyes widen and I move closer to Hope and see that she has a bite mark on her arm I grab ahold of her other wrist and mutter a spell and Hope gets taken out of the prison world
"Why would you do that?"
"Look at your arm Hope it's not healing you said it was safe"
She looks down to her arm and her eyes widen slightly I look at Josie and Landon "Find one of my vampires and wade to help with research then come to my office"
I stand up and hold out my hand to Hope who's now started sweating she takes it and I pull her up and vamp speed to my office I place Hope down in a chair.
"Hope I'm going to have chain you to this chair"
She nods and I'll admit she doesn't look too good she's sweating and looks ill I quickly use my magic to chain her to the chair.

We have been sitting in my office for nearly an hour and Hope now is trying to rip her chains off and half her face looks like dead flesh I be tried comfort spells but it's not working.
I'm relieved when Landon Josie and Wade walk through the door and I'm less relieved when landon runs at Hope with a knife and plunges in her chest my eyes grow wide.
"Hope!" I run from behind the desk and start to take the chains off she goes limp in the chair and turns back to Landon
"What the hell were you thinking?"
"I'm sorry Ava you wouldn't have let us do it it's what's supposed to bring her back or she would turn into one of those things permanently"
"Supposed to?" I exclaim at him and he steps back I go to stand up but am stopped by Hopes hand on my wrist I see Landon relax and crouch back down to Hope's side
"Are you okay?"
"Yes I'm fine"
My head snaps to Landon and he flinches under my glare "Have you gone mad?"
"Would you rather her turn into one of those things prematurely?"
I stand up but Hopes stops me and gives an 'its fine' look and I sigh and look back to the small group "Everyone out"
I sit down in the chair next to Hope as the three students leave once they left I turn to Hope who's already looking at me
"That's not Landon"
She raises an eyebrow "What do you mean?"
"It can't be as much as I hate to say it he's in love with you and he wouldn't have risked your life like that"
"Okay, then what are we going to do?"
"I'm going to enter his mind then if it confirms that it's not him then I will put him in a cell if not he can do as he pleases"
She nods and places a hand on mine I smile and brush a thumb over the back of her hand and then look back to her eyes
"I'm going to reverse the spell"
"Anything you need to prepare?"
I shake my head "Just you...During the spell, it's going to be very painful for me but you can't stop the spell I trust you and only you to do this"
"How painful?"
I shrug and stand up "Ryker said it was worst than my first turn and more painful than anything I've experienced. Probably because it's been repressed for so long"
I walk around my desk and open a drawer "How will we know it's done?"
"I'll feel different I'll also turn into my wolf"
She nods as I grab the spell out of my drawer and pass it over the table she stands and takes it
"Also Klaus and Caroline have accepted to take over the headmaster position there on the way"
She nods again and smiles "Our date is tomorrow it's at 7 am so wake up early"
I return a smile and raise and eyebrow "Do I get to know what we are doing?"
"No, it's a surprise dress comfortably"
"Ok ill see you tomorrow"
