A/N: i wanted to add the first bit of the chapter to the last one but I'm phone was glitching out

Me and Penelope dance for a while she gets closer to me and looks at me I see her looking at my lips and back to my eyes "Can I kiss you?" I look at her surprise but all I do is nod she leans forward and I meet her halfway when our lips connect it instantly feels wrong the kiss isn't bad but I feel like I should be doing this with someone else after a couple of seconds she pulls back "That was maybe the best kiss I had"
I laugh "Thanks, I'm going to get a drink"
I walk away before she can respond I grab a drink and drink it all if I don't want to kiss a beautiful girl like Penelope then who do I want to kiss.
I walk outside hoping to clear my thoughts and i see Landon being brought to his brother Rafael I'm guessing Josie did a summoning spell I start to wander in the woods not wanting to be anywhere near Landon
I sit near tree with my back leaning against the tree after a couple of minutes I hear a low growl I look to my right and see a white coloured wolf I stand up and look at them and for some reason I want to reach out and touch the wolf and that's what I do I stroke the wolf and it leans into my touch I feel my fangs come through and I'm guessing that my vamp face is out which confuses me since I have no bad intentions towards the wolf nor does it seem like it wants to hurt me.
I try to restrain myself but I can't I pull back my hand and it looks all hairy I groan as I start to transition unwillingly after a few moments I've completed my transition the white wolf just stares at me and I feel a sudden rush to brush up against them I whine happily at the feeling of the wolf against me they seem to like it too.
They lick my face and starts to run off my wolf takes control of my body and I run after them this feeling isn't anything I've felt before they stop at a large tree it seems to be bigger than all the rest of the trees and is different colour as much as I want to stay everything in my body is telling me to stay but I don't I run back towards the school.
I walk into my room and thankfully Hope isn't here i transition back to human form and quickly get dressed.
I lie down on my bed and I see the book I borrowed from Hope on the table side I grab it and started reading it I get about halfway through the book and the title peaks my interest werewolf mating I read through and my eyes seem to keep re reading this sentence
"when a werewolf meets their mate they instantly know that they are mates"
I read the next sentence out loud
"When a werewolf has seen their mate in wolf form they involuntary transition too a mate can also be identified by blood sharing"
my eyes widen whoever that was in the woods is my mate "When their mate has been identified the wolf becomes attached to this person it intensifies their feelings"
The room door opens and in walks Hope I instantly feel happy to see her I send her a smile which she returns "Hey do you know anything about werewolf mating?" She looks at me "Umm no just the stuff in that book your reading"
I look back at the book "I think I met my mate tonight" I look at her again she seems not surprised at all "Umm there's something I should probably tell you-" there's a knock at the door "Come in" the door opens and Josie walks in "Did you kiss Penelope tonight" i look at her and she seems annoyed "Um yes why?" And with that she walks out with a look of betrayal on her face.
"What was that?" I say as I direct my attention back to hope she looks sad but quickly masks it "That was joise being mad at you" I look at her in disbelief and sigh "What did you want to tell me?"
"Don't worry about it it's not important" I can tell she's lying but I don't question it "Okay.... Goodnight hope" I lie down trying to get to sleep but can only think about the white wolf and who it was after a while of mind racing I finally fall asleep.

I wake up and see hope brushing her hair "Morning Hope" she looks at me through the mirror "Morning" I get up and get ready I walk out the bathroom and see hope waiting for me I give her a smile and finish getting ready feeling her eyes on me the whole "Are you going to keep staring at me or tell me what you wanted to yesterday" I look at her and meet her eyes and there's that blush again "Umm I did want to tell you last night but I kinda chicken out" I raise an eyebrow at her words "....so I'll tell you now" she stalling she's nervous so I reassure her
"Whatever it is Hope I'm pretty sure I can handle it" she smiles and takes a deep breath but there's a knock at the door I look at Hope and she frowns at the interruption I sigh and look to the door "Come in!" Mg walks in "Hey guys, there's an assembly and Alaric wants you there" Hope nods at him and goes to walk out giving me one last look I follow after her "So are you gonna tell me?"
"Later" I nod at her and once we reach the assembly hall we sit together "Aren't you going to sit with Penelope" I look at her confused "Why would I do that?"
"Because she's your friend"
That confuses me more does Hope think we aren't friends I frown at the thought "We're friends too"
"So hope would you let me have the honour of letting me sit with you?" She chuckles "I would love that" I smile at her and once our eyes meet I feel as she's the only one in the world my heart beats faster I just want to touch her and be near her it's nearly unbearable to be around her without doing so.
"For ten years we've gone undetected. Protecting you, protecting our secret has been our singular mission. Tonight I need your help to find Landon Kirby... before he exposes us all" I look over to Alaric in shock people start whispering around us
Well that's unexpected the human tricked us all.

A/N: Forgot to add I did research on how a werewolf/Vampire find their mate and one of them is through blood sharing and the other is just knowing but I thought the way I did it in the story would be cooler so it's made up and not the right way of how it happens
