Chapter 22: Fighting Spirit

“Woah, blonde is hot-headed I see. I mean, we didn't even introduce ourselves” Castor said

mockingly as he looked at the group.

“That won't be needed. I sense the same stench from you guys. You're Orion’s underlings

aren't you?” Mathew asked with a frown.

‘How many of these guys are gonna keep popping up?’ he asked.

The Nova of the remaining 3 commanders flared up instantly.

“What did you say? You're the one who killed Sir Orion?” Castor narrowed his eyes. There

was no trace of the previous mockingness in his tone.

“Technically, I won't say I killed him. But still, he died by my hands” Mathew shrugged. He remembered something and looked at the commanders mockingly

“Also, there was a guy with a pizza face with him. Haha, he was so funny” Mathew laughed.

“You're gonna pay for what you did” Castor declared in anger.

Just as Jayden was about to warn the twins and Arthur to leave the place, Propus appeared

in front of him. As he looked towards the side, another commander, Walter, was blocking the twins and Arthur.

‘They are trying to split us up uh. I should hurry then’ Jayden thought with a sigh.

“I'm gonna pay for it huh? How's that, by sending you to see your master” Mathew asked mockingly.

Castor growled and instantly charged towards Mathew. He dashed with a punch. Mathew tried to block it barehanded but he was pushed back lightly.

“I'm gonna give my everything and take you down to avenge sir Orion” Castor shouted as he pulled back from his earlier attack to prepare himself.

“These words don't age well” Mathew replied as he instantly appeared in front of Castor.

There was a golden X mark in both his pupils and he sent a punch towards Castor’s chin.

Castor was sent flying upwards. Before giving him a chance to react, Mathew sprouted his wings and flew upwards. He kicked Castor in the gut and Castor was sent crashing downwards.

“No no not there” Mathew cried in panic.

Before he could do anything Castor crashed into Raven’s burger of the mirrorverse. Castor crashed through the roof and fell into the shop. A part of the roof was gone was there were rubbles everywhere.

“Even though it's not real, it still aches to see the shop getting destroyed” Mathew sighed in regret.

Castor cleared the rubbles and came out of the shop with dust and rubbles all over his body.

There was some blood on his forehead

“You're getting on my nerves” he growled as he sent Nova all over himself and shook off all the rubbles.

“Oh If that's the case, then I'm glad to hear that” Mathew smirked. His trash-talking syndrome acted up again.

“Out of the way fatso, I've got work to do” Jayden frowned.

“You're not gonna move an inch” Propus replied gravely. He was on high alert.

“Fatso you know, I was today years old when I came to know that I carry a heavy

responsibility due to the power I possess. So, I’ve got a reputation to live up to” Jayden sighed.

He stopped further talking and immediately activated his eye. An inward spiral was formed in both of his pupils. It appeared mysterious and bizarre.

Propus didn't say anything and punched Jayden with Nova-coated fists. The punch went through Jayden as Jayden vanished into smoke.

He calmly reappeared behind Propus with a smile.

“I know you're excited. It's been a while since I performed a show, so hold your horses”

Jayden said as if he was going to begin his magic show.

“I see, if that's the case, ‘blink’” Propus said as he completely vanished in front of Jayden’s eye.

Propus appeared from above and slashed toward Jayden with a Nova-coated dagger.

Jayden was hit with the dagger and fell with a thud.

“How long are you gonna deceive me?” Propus frowned in irritation. While the others got opponents who fought straightforwardly, his opponent was too troublesome.

The Jayden on the ground shattered like a mirror.

“As long as I can” Jayden laughed as he reappeared nearby. He took out 5 playing cards from his pocket. It was Ace, Jack, Queen King and Joker.

“Now, for my first trick,” Jayden muttered as he threw the cards at Propus at high speed. Just as the cards neared Propus and he got ready to dodge them, they instantly transformed into 10 knives coated in Nova.

Propus was caught off guard and was struck by a few knives. He still managed to dodge half of them.

“So, you disguised those cards as knives” Propus nodded in understanding, he didn't mind the fact he was hit by a few knives.

“You're free to guess. A magician never tells” Jayden smirked.

“I'm gonna rip apart that mouth of yours first” Propus growled in frustration.

The twins and Arthur started to run toward an apartment building when Walter suddenly appeared right in front of them.

“Oh, where do you think you kids are going” Walter laughed, licking his dagger.

“Eww, creep” Lyra cringed in disgust.

Arthur took a piece of the rusted iron rod that was lying on the side of the road. It was as long as his arm and had a pointy edge at one end.

“Could any of you guys coat this with your power?” Arthur asked in a serious tone.

“Sure, but why?” Kael asked as he looked at Walter warily.

“Please do it then, please,” Arthur asked seriously.

“Fine but I don't understand why you're doing this. You should just run away” Lyra warned him as she coated the rod with her Nova.

“Wait, don't tell me-” Kael narrowed his eyes in understanding as he looked at Arthur with a frown.

“Yeah, I'm not gonna be a burden to you guys again. I'm gonna do this with you” Arthur

looked at the with a determined gaze as he took a fighting stance with the rod in front of him.

After getting bored of their little show, Walter started to close the distance between them.

Lyra and Kael quickly activated their eyes as the Yin Yang pattern swirled in their pupils.

“You know it's not fair to do a 1v3. So, I'll help myself. ‘Twins gate’” Walter smirked as another Walter grew out Walter’s back. He was also holding a dagger.

“Another guy came out of his back?” Arthur asked in disbelief. He was still in shock from the earlier revelation, but now it has become even more bizarre and shocking.

“Even though I'm not as talented as Sir Orion, only I can pull this off out of us 4 commanders”Walter declared proudly.

“Blink” he muttered as he vanished and reappeared in front of the group. There was another Walter behind him.

“There are three of them? What's up with him?” Kael asked in confusion as he dodged Walter's attack.

“There are only two of them. It's just his mirage he purposely left behind as he waste teleporting.

Walter started to attack the twins. The twins formed a Nova gauntlet around their fists as

they exchanged moves with him. They kept up with him and even counterattacked a few times. Their training paid off well.

Walter’s twin attacked Arthur. Arthur clumsily dodged the attack and slashed Walter's twin with the rod. He was hit by it.

“I did it” Arthur exclaimed in relief.

“Fool, what you attacked was just my mirage” Walter's voice was heard behind him as Walter hit Arthur in the back of his neck and made Arthur unconscious.

“No.Arthur” Kael shouted in panic. Walter caught this momentary distraction and Punched Kael. Kael failed to dodge it in time.

Walter's twin lifted Arthur by his collar and looked at the twins with a smirk.

“If you want him, come and get him” he taunted.

“Kael, go after him. I can hold my own” Lyra said as she looked at Walter. She started to fight off Walter's attack on her own.

“Are you sure sis?” Kael asked with a frown.

“Just go” Lyra shouted as she narrowly dodged Walter's dagger.

“Girl, you're so confident in yourself. I'm gonna destroy that pretty little face of yours in a few seconds” Walter laughed loudly.
