After teaching Arthur the basics of working in the restaurant, the day soon came to an end. Arthur left home as he chose to refuse the offer of staying at the shop itself. He didnât want to overstay his welcome.
After Arthur left Kael and Lyra finished cleaning up and went to sleep.

The night passed by as the morning arrived. The twins completed their morning routine and opened the shopâs door for business.
âSis we still have 10 minutes, why are opening a bit early?â Kael asked with interest.
Lyra didnât say anything and looked outside where she saw a silhouette running towards the shop with a bag hung across his shoulder.
âGot your answer?â Lyra looked at her brother with a smirk. âHey guysâ¦am I late?â Arthur asked breathing heavily.
âNo, you are 10 minutes early,â Kael said with a smile.
âI wonder where Ruby is?â Lyra said gazing at the empty road outside.
âSheâll be here any minute now,â Kael said without any worry as Ruby was very responsible and rarely missed a day of work.
As they were conversing Mathew came out of the storage room, adjusting his shirt collar.
âArthur, this is Mr Mathew, our new managerâ Lyra introduced.
âOh hello Mr Manager, I am Arthurâ Arthur introduced himself with a bow when he suddenly thought something and said in confusion
âI feel like Iâve seen him somewhereâ
âHaha, he has got that face right?â Lyra said trying to shift the topic.
âWell anyway, Iâve got something for you fourâ¦wait-â he stopped midway as he swept his gaze across the shop and continued
âMr. Valerio said there are four of youâ¦whereâs the other one?â Mathew asked.
When suddenly as if on cue, Ruby entered the shop in a hurry.
âSorry Iâm late guys, got stuck in trafficâ she explained hurriedly.
âPerfect timing Rubyâ Kael said with a smile.
âWell, I am a perfectionist after allâ Ruby replied with a smug.
âRuby, this is Mr. Mathew, our new managerâ Lyra introduced Mathew again.
âOh.. a new manager, hello Mr. Mathew,â Ruby said with a warm smile. She had already seen this man with the owner that night but didnât think he would be the new manager.
âHello, Rubyâ Mathew replied, returning the greeting.
âWell, you said you got something for us?â Kael asked in anticipation.
âWait let me grab something real quickâ
Mathew replied as he went back to the store again. The group looked at each other with confusion when they saw Mathew return with a box in his hand.
âWhat is it, manager?â Arthur asked.
âWait a secondâ Mathew replied with a smile.

âWell, he finally figured it out at lastâ Ruby teased with a smirk. The group laughed as they saw Mathew take out several pieces of clothing from the box.
It was a black apron with their names written on them in golden color. At the top corner of the apron, two golden ravens were embroidered neatly.
âWow, it looks so cool,â Kael said in amazement.
âYeah, itâs like we are professionalsâ Lyra replied sharing her brotherâs sentiment. Except for just being the owner in name, Valerio has not done anything for the shop so she was happy seeing Mathew put in the effort.
âIt looks amazing Manager, I like it,â Arthur said.
âYeah,â Ruby said with a nod.
The group immediately adorned their respective aprons, before they could admire it any further a group of customers walked into the shop.
âTime to work, team,â Mathew said clapping his hands.
âYes sir,â Arthur said in excitement and nervousness. Today was his official first day so he wanted to not mess it up.

It was a dimly lit office room with a sophisticated and sleek interior. A silhouette was sitting in a rolling chair behind a table.
âWhat happened to Mark and Dave, they havenât returned yet?â the silhouette asked in a cold voice.
âI will check it and report back to you, Mr. Piersâ a female clad in a business suit replied. She left for a while and came back after a few minutes.
âMr. Piers, it seems like they have completely disappeared without any trace, I canât trace their aura signaturesâ the female replied in a serious tone.
âKate, what about the nova signatures from the weapons I gave themâ Piers asked, his eyes narrowing.
âOur team tried to trace them but they canât find anything on that eitherâ Kate replied.
âWhat else? Tell me more detailsâ Piers asked, leaning forward a bit.
âYes sir, even though we were not able to find Mark and Dave, we were able to sense the signatures of two other individuals. One of them had a very powerful signatureâ Kate replied with a hesitation.
Piers narrowed his eyes as he heard this information. He nodded and replied with a grim smile
âLooks like Mark and Dave found himâ
âSir do you mean, they found-â Kate looked at Piers with hesitation.
âYeah. At least someone of his caliberâ Piers replied with a laugh.
âAre you sure about this sir?â Kate asked again. Piers looked at her with a dangerous expression as she got shivers. She immediately averted her eyes.
âOf course, Mark and Dave are our elites, they wonât be taken down by a nobodyâ Piers replied with a laugh.
âYes sir, you are right,â Kate said hurriedly.
âReport to me if you find anything else, and also alert the other heads to join in swiftly,â Piers said as he watched Kate leave hurriedly.
" Itâs been a while since I went to the mind realm," Piers thought, fidgeting a pen. After a while, Kate entered the office again.
âAll the preparations are complete sir,â Kate said.
âThank you, Kate, make sure I am not disturbed,â Piers said with a nod.
âYes sirâ Kate replied as she left the room and stood in front of the room to make sure Piers was not disturbed.
After watching her leave, Piers stood from his chair and pulled a lever below his table. Soon the wall behind him opened leading to a hidden room.
The room didnât have any features. It just had a chair and table in the center and nothing else. After his entry, the room lit up automatically. Piers took a seat in the chair and closed his eyes.
As he opened his eyes after a second, he was in a completely different place. He was in a huge dark space that only had a huge round table and large throne-like chairs surrounding the table.
He swept his gaze as he noticed 11 other figures sitting on the chairs, each emitting a different color aura.
âWhatâs the matter Piers, itâs not like you to call these meetingsâ a silhouette with a green aura asked with curiosity.
âYeah. Normally, he doesnât even attend these meetingsâ another silhouette with ink blue aura scoffed.
âHaha, maybe heâs possessed by someoneâ¦scary?â another silhouette with a bright orange aura laughed.
âWell, I donât have time for mockery. I am here to tell you about something very importantâ Piers said in a harsh tone.
âPlease proceedâ a dark gold silhouette gestured.
âWell, recently Iâve sent two of my pawns to go after âthat manâ, but they seem to have disappeared without a trace along with the weapons I blessed themâ Piers explained with a calm tone.
âYour pawns disappearing isnât that surprising but the weapons vanishing too? That doesnât sound very good to me. Are you suggesting-â the dark gold silhouette asked in doubt.
âYes, I think they found Valerioâ Piers replied dropping a bomb. Everyone present exclaimed something in shock when a yellow silhouetteâs aura fluctuated deeply.
âThat bastard is still alive? Iâve got a score to settle with himâ the yellow silhouette said in rage, slamming his fists onto the table.
âI get where youâre coming from Orion but do you think he is still alone after all these years?â Piers asked calmly.
âAre you suggesting that he has companions now?â Orion asked.
âItâs not like he is not capable of that. You, out of everyone should know his capabilities very wellâ Piers replied.
âDonât you think itâs time that we made a move, Ascendants?â the ink-blue silhouette asked.
âYeah, we are more powerful than before, so it should be alright,â Orion said with a proud laugh.
âWell, maybe you are right Orion. Also Piers, where did the aura of your men disappear?â the dark gold silhouette asked.
âI was informed that it was near a shop called Ravenâs Burgersâ Piers replied.
âHaha, Ravensâs burger, I see,â the dark gold silhouette said with amusement.

Meanwhile, Valerio who was washing the dishes suddenly sneezed
âEh, why do I feel like someoneâs talking about me?â he muttered in confusion.
