*Isabella's POV*

I just came out of the shower and was now standing in front of my closet trying to find something to wear.

I decided I was definitely going to go casual since Miles said it wasn't anything too fancy.

The doorbell rang.

I rolled my eyes then went downstairs and opened the door.

"Hi Issy."

It was Tessa. She had a smile on her face but not 'that smile'.

"Hi. I'm actually busy right now."

"To go on your date with Miles?"

"How did you-"

"It's a double date. I figured you'd need help deciding on what to wear so I came." she said cutting me off.

She knew me so well but I had already decided on what I was going to wear. I let her in anyway.

"You look beautiful." she said while brushing my hair and looking at me in the mirror.

"You don't look too bad yourself."

She had on a simple jeans and sweater like me.

"You sure you want to do this?" she asked.

"Do what?"

"Go on a date with Miles. He's only using you."

"Oh my gosh Tessa! Why can't you just be happy for me for once!?"

"I'm only trying to protect you Isabella."

"I don't need protecting Tessa. I rather try and fail than not try at all. Let me learn from my own mistakes."

I looked out my window and saw Miles' car rolling in.

"Miles is here. I have to go." I said then walked out.

When I opened the door, Miles was standing on the other side with his eyes closed.

"You can do this Miles" he whispered to himself.

I tried my best to stay silent.

When he finally opened his eyes they widened.

"Isa-Isabella how long have you been standing there?"

I chuckled.

"Long enough to hear your uplifting pep talk."

He bit his lips and closed his eyes, looking like he was restraining himself from slapping himself. He pulled out a bouquet of flowers from behind him and gave them to me.

"I didn't know if you liked roses or lilies so I got you both." he said.

They were beautiful. I didn't really have a preference in flowers, it was the thought that counted. Before I could reply, Tessa interfered.

"They look ugly." she said then walked out to her car.

From that, neither Miles nor I said anything until we reached to what looked like a park.

When we reached, Tessa had already arrived and was talking to Troy.

"Let's go." Miles said to all of us.

"What are we doing at a park?" I asked.

Miles and Troy both looked at each other and smiled.

"You'll see when we get there." Troy said.

It was a rather large park and we had been walking for a while.

"Right between these bushes." Miles said pointing to the bushes.

Tessa and I both came to a halt. I look at her and saw she was doing the same.

"What?" Miles asked looking confused.

"It's weird that you two want to take us into the bushes where no one can see us." Tessa said.

"There is something called privacy." Miles said sarcastically.

"Don't you two trust us?" Troy asked.

We stayed quiet.

"Let's just go in already." I said bravely.

When I pushed through the bushes, there was a breathtaking panic laid on the grass. It had all sorts of foods that was a cure to my hungry stomach.

I turned back to the rest of them.

"Who did this?"

I watched as Troy looked on Miles who hadn't even realized I asked since he was occupied on his phone.

"Let's eat." Tessa said walking pass me with Troy following her.

Miles didn't look like he was in a rush to come off his phone so I sat without him.

"Babe did you make these?" Tessa asked as she forced more food in her stuffed mouth.

"My mom."

"Sorry about that guys." Miles said then sat next to me.

"Everything okay?" I asked.

He nodded then gave me a quick kiss on the cheek.

The food was heavenly. Troy's mom sure knew how to cook.

"Miles did you ask her yet?" Troy asked and I saw Miles gave him a death glare.

"Ask me what?"

He sighed.

"So the award ceremonies are coming up and wanted to know if you would want to maybe be my date?"

"Of course Miles." I said then hugged him impulsively.

To me the award ceremonies was just for a bunch of football jocks to come together to get awards and brag about how good they are at football but if it made Miles happy I would go.

"Thank you both for this date. I think it's getting late." I said.l after ss finished eating.

Miles and Troy looked at each other weirdly. I hated when they did that.

"You don't think the date would just be us eating a bunch of food then leaving would you?" Miles asked.

I shrugged.

Tessa and Troy started making out right then and there. I sat there feeling out of place.

"Come on, let's get out of here." Miles whispered into my ear.

"You should try to hide how easily it is for me to have an effect on you."

He stood up then offered his hand. I took it and he pulled me up.

We started walking, his hands never let go of mine.

"So how did you and Troy find out about this place?"

"I was hoping you wouldn't ask me that. I lost my v-card here. She was about 6 years older than me. Now that I look back at it, I might have been groomed."

I nodded my head.

"I hope I'm not scaring you too much. I wasn't sure you were ready to be my date twice in one week."

"Are you kidding? Why would I ever refuse a date with 'The Miles Norman'. I said a mocking tone.

"Shut up nerd."

We laughed and talked some more.

When we finally reached back to the parking lot, Troy and Tessa stood at their cars looking angry.

"Where the hell where you guys?" Tessa squawked.

"We were just giving you two some space." I answered.

She rolled her eyes. "Whatever, I'm leaving."

"Tessa wait. Can I ride with you?" I asked.

"Sure."

I turned to Miles.

"See you later." I said then walked off only to be held back.

He wheeled me in with his force then turned me around banging me unto his hard chest. He lifted up my chin then crashed his lips unto mine then after a minute pulled back and walked away.

Wow.

I went back to Tessa's car and not a word was said on the drive way back. When she pulled in front of my house I decided to talk.

"Tessa, I don't want our friendship to fail because of a boy. I know you two have your differences but I really like him. Please be happy for me." I said.

"Fine."

"Really?"

She nodded. "Of course Issy, you're my bestfriend."

I quickly embraced her with a warm hug. "Thank you."
