Zulaid was sitting in the lounge with extreme anger on his face. His hands were fisted. It wasn't easy to control his aggression. He would go mad when someone hurt his family. He was staring at the couple sitting across him.
"Saman! I think there is a misunderstanding" Aliya, Azwa's mother tried her best to act innocent.
"There is no misunderstanding Aliya! We believe in our daughter! If she is saying you are involved in this then I don't have any doubt in it" Saman controlled herself from lashing out at them.
"Listen Saman! She is just a kid. She can't understand things. You are mature. You can understand men make such mistakes in their youth. Ramish has moved on from that girl" She tried once again to convince them.
"That's enough Aliya bhabi! You both lied to us and now accept it shamelessly on our faces" Ayub asked her distastefully.
"Ayub! We didn't have any bad intentions. Ramish is also happy with this alliance. He himself was interested in this proposal. I don't know why Inara is misunderstanding the situation" Ramish's father took part in the conversation.
"How could she misunderstand him after watching him with that girl with her own eyes. Don't take my daughter's name if your son is at fault. I can't believe you did this to us. We trusted you and you played with the life of our daughter" Ayub kept saying angrily.
"Ayub.."
"Stop it! If your son is interstated somewhere else. Why are you destroying someone else's daughter. Wahin shadi karo uski jahan moon mar raha hy. How dare you lie to us" Ayub wasn't ready to leave them.

Ibrahim was silently observing them. He still couldn't believe he chose a wile man for her daughter. How did he mistook him as a nice person?
Farida was silently crying. Ayub and Saman being the eldest were dealing with the couple.
"Bhai Sahab! Please don't get angry. Our children are going to get married. This will only complicate the situation. Kindly forgive Ramish! We will make him understand. He won't repeat his mistake. He would apologize to you!" Aliya tried to calm them.
"My daughter won't marry your son bhabhi sahiba! My daughter isn't worthless to be tied to such a man" Ibrahim spoke for the first time.
"Of course! We won't marry her to your son now" Ayub second his brother.
"Listen bhai sahab! Cards are distributed. Hall has been booked. Everything has been arranged. You just can't back off now. We are really sorry for what happened. We are assuring you. Your daughter won't have any issues after marrying my son. I am giving you a guarantee. Ramish would be fair to her. She would be happy. Don't make such a hasty decision!" Aliya quickly apologized.
"I am sorry! I just thought it was good for my son. I never had bad intentions. That girl he wanted to marry wasn't of good character. We couldn't accept her" She admitted shamelessly.
Saman held her face in her hands. What would they do now? A few days were left in wedding and they were struck in a complicated situation.
"Bhai! We have a double wedding on our way. If you are thinking that you would back off from one so it's not possible. We also won't marry our daughter to your son!!" Ramish's father announced.
"Uncle! Why do you still think I will still marry your daughter?" Zulaid broke his silence and spoke harshly to them. No one was expecting him to say that.
He got engaged to Azwa on his own will. Nobody thought he would leave her. Neither did they want him to make such a decision.
"Zulaid we can talk about it" Ayub tried to stop him.
"There is nothing to talk about papa!" He said to him respectfully.
"My daughter is innocent just like Inara. She has nothing to do with what Ramish does" Aliya couldn't tolerate anything on her own daughter.
"No, she isn't. She is as responsible as Ramish. She knew everything from the start but she decided to act innocent. How dare she lie to me. I won't marry her. Neither will we marry Inara to your son. We won't make any relationship with people like you.
Whatever you decide for Inara will now come to your own daughter. Cry on that. We aren't responsible for anything happening. It's only you who tried to bluff us.
There is the door. We would never like to see your face again" Zulaid couldn't control himself anymore. He showed them the reality and door at the end.
"Beta! We can sort it out" Aliya tried for the last time.
"Zulaid! Stop it" Saman reprimanded him.
"Uncle Auntie! You can leave. I didn't want to end things on such a note but you didn't give me another option " He kept pointing towards the door.
They tried to convince them but nothing could happen now. They couldn't destroy Inara's life just because everything was already arranged and people knew.
Things and people could go to hell. What matters was Inara's happiness. No one was ready to compromise that.
Inara kept looking at all of them from upstairs. She realized she was very lucky to have such people in her life. None of them tried to sacrifice for their so-called honour and respect. They took a stand for her.
She was shocked at Zulaid's reaction. He even cancelled his own wedding. He stood for her. She never thought he would believe her. She thought he would blame her for lying or misunderstanding things in her immaturity but he didn't. He believed her.
Now people can talk about her whatever they want. She wouldn't mind. They can call her names or whatever. It won't matter to her.
People like to talk only. Except that they could do nothing for you.

"Inara! Why are you misunderstanding me. I like you so much. Why are you doing this to me?" Ramish said on the other side.
"Shame on you. I have seen your true face. Stop lying!" She spat at him.
"Try to understand Inara! If we don't get married. Zulaid won't marry Azwa either. My sister's life would be destroyed" He begged.
"No life would be destroyed. Neither mine nor Azwa's. Stop using others for your own advantage. You dared to call me again and my brothers will bury you alive" She cut the call. Threw her phone on the bed.
She went to the washroom and did ablution. She stood on the prayer mat and offered nafil. She didn't forget to thank Allah for saving her from that wile man.
Everything happens for a reason.
Ya Allah! All praise for you. You are so merciful. Have mercy on me and my parents. Please do something for me that is better for me.
"Is this your last decision? Can't your family forgive Ramish?" Azwa asked Zulaid on the phone call.
"It is my last decision Azwa!" He emphasized.
"Think about me Zulaid! What's my mistake? Everything is fine between us. We were happy" She cried.
"Have you or your family thought about Inara for once. You all tried to play with her life. This can't happen I can't marry you and forget everything that your family did to mine.
Just because of your parents ego now both families will face consequences. You should ask questions from your parents not me. Don't call me again for this. Bye!" He hung up the call.
He tiredly covered his face with his hands. He was going to get married in two weeks but what happened in the past day changed everything.
A single moment can change our lives.
He was relieved that they came to know about the reality on time. If Inara had gotten married to him. It would have been more painful and traumatic for her...
Little did he know that his life was going to take an unexpected turn.
