Zulaid held Inara's hand as they both strolled the beach. He entertained their fingers and passed her a smile that was exclusive to her.

"It's so peaceful here" Inara murmured, moving her hair behind her ear that were fluttering in the air.

"Hm because it's not much noisy" Zulaid looked around. He could only catch a glimpse of a few people.

"Yeah no hustle here unlike the work place" She remembered the busy corridors of the hospital.

"You are so done with the hospital" He commented.

"I do" She didn't deny.

Inara's house job just ended a few days ago and two days ago they had flown to Bahamas. He wanted to provide her the much needed trip she yearned throughout the year.

Now, away from the hustle of the world they were alone at a beach with hands in hands feeling nothing but peace and happiness.

"Inara!" He called her seriously.

"Yes" She looked at him.

"I am afraid with this much less interest in your profession you can face many problems in the future. So it's best that you make a decision now!" He stopped at his place and she followed.

"What do you mean by making a decision?" She looked into his eyes.

"It means you should decide either you want to carry on practice, or go for teaching or you want to leave medicine completely" He solved the puzzle effortlessly.

"You can't be serious" She laughed lightly.

"No, I am very serious" He didn't laugh.

"You can't just ask me to leave the profession for which I wasted seven important years of my life" She minded his words.

"Look sweetheart-" He rested his hand on hers he was already holding.

"Don't sweetheart me" She asked him seriously.

"Relax!!!" He replied.

She removed her hand from his hold silently and took a few steps in haste. He didn't move behind her for a minute and gave her the much needed space to calm herself otherwise it would have turned into an ugly argument which Zulaid didn't want on a vacation.

"Inara! I didn't mean that" He stood behind her.

"Sorry!" She turned towards him and asked softly.

"It's okay" He blinked his eyes to assure her.

"I just meant that if you don't want to continue then you shouldn't feel pressurized to be in a place you don't want to" He told her simply.

"Is there even a point of leaving now?" She asked calmly this time.

"Why not" He shrugged his shoulders.

"I have wasted my years for this profession-"

"And you can't waste your whole life for it" He cut off in the middle.

"It's better to make a decision at the right time instead of crying for your whole life. You won't be happy in this field and we both know it. I know how much you struggled in the past one year. I know everything.

You weren't happy to be at this place for not even a single day. You didn't enjoy this period. You wanted it to end and at one day it has to be ended but whatever you would do next won't have an ending" He explained it to her gently about the hardships she could face in her training.

It's not easy to become a consultant.

She watched him silently. She couldn't oppose him because he wasn't saying anything wrong.

"Say something" He asked.

"I don't know what to say" She looked away and started walking again.

"Tell me honestly were you happy and content to work in the hospital?" He questioned and walked beside her.

"No" She mumbled.

"Do you think you will be happy in the future?" He asked further.

"You think I can't pass FCPS" She took it negatively.

(FCPS- it's a specialized training program)

"I didn't say that" He said defensively.

"But you only meant that" She stared at him.

"No, I didn't mean that stop taking negative meaning of my words. I just said that with less interest in studies it would be difficult for you. I never said you can't do this but to be very honest Inara! We both know you don't like to study. And you can't pass the higher level exams without studying" He said it all.

"What you want me to do then?" She asked him seriously throwing her hands in the air frustratingly.

"I just want you to make a decision and stick it. Do whatever makes you happy"

"Then let me know what should I do?" She asked monotonously.

He passed her a small smile and shook his head.

"It's not my place to make a decision for you. Once a decision was imposed on you which never made you happy. Now it should be only you who should decide what to do next" He placed his hands on her shoulders to calm her.

"That's what I asking you. If I leave medicine today what the hell I would do next?" She raised her voice in anger.

"You can do teaching" He suggested.

"Oh please you know me well. I can't even explain a sentence properly how can I go for teaching. Ab ja ke students se galiyan khaoon" Her temper was loosing more than he thought.

"Relax yourself. If you aren't ready yet we will talk later" He patted her head.

"No. Talk to me right now" She replied.

"Okay"

"Yes. I don't want to practice nor do I want to do teaching. I don't have any other skills. I just want to be at home and do nothing" She shared her thoughts.

"You can stay at home if you want to" He suggested.

"Do you want me to sit at home and not work?" She asked him suspiciously.

"Of course not. I am just agreeing with you" He didn't see a wall to smash his head on.

"Then please don't agree on such pathetic ideas" She glared him.

"It's not a pathetic idea. It's not easy to be a housewife either. Your dislike to be at home suggests that women who stay at home and don't pursue their careers are any less than the working women" He opposed her.

"I didn't mean it that way" She mumbled.

"I am not like those men who want to cage their women. I believe if a woman has potential, she wants to work or she needs a job then she should be encouraged but that doesn't mean housewives aren't capable of doing anything because managing a house and everyone's life is itself a very big task and not everyone can do it efficiently.

Our mothers aren't working either and they lived their lives peacefully and happy. It's all about priorities and happiness. Every woman should be educated enough to face the challenge of life and you are educated. You have worked in the difficult circumstances. You are capable of doing it but if one thing can't give you happiness it's better to leave it" He shared his point of view.

"I agree but what's the point of wasting my years then?" She asked.

"Your years aren't wasted. You have achieved a degree, knowledge and skills which will be with you for your life. You can use them at any moment" He said.

"My parents will kill me" She told him dramatically.

"No one can say you anything. First they have to face me. You aren't answerable to anyone"

"It's not easy" She mumbled, looking away.

"I know it's not easy but I want you to be happy. Do what's make you happy. If it's medicine that can make you happy then do it. If it's another profession then go for it and if you just don't want to work that's also acceptable because you should be only doing what makes you happy. It's as simple as that"

"I don't know" She shrugged.

"Take your time. We aren't in a hurry" He said.

"You spoiled my whole mood. It was supposed to be a carefree vacation" She slapped his biceps in a light mood this time.

"I am sorry if I made you worried. I just wanted to talk to you about it and I think it was the perfect time" He looked sad.

"You thought it's the perfect time" She narrowed her eyes at him.

He nodded.

"You have such a bad taste" She scrunched her nose.

"I don't think so because I have married a beautiful woman" He flattered her.

"I am not a woman" She objected his choice of words.

"You are my woman" He entwined their fingers again.

"You are bad" She muttered.

"I thought you were the one who used to chant 'I am a bad girl" He laughed remembering Inara's childhood.

"I was just a kid" She protested.

"And kids don't lie" He knew a slap was going to land on him and the next second it did efficiently.

"You are so mean"

"Nara! What a hypocrite you are. It's just the other day you called me the nicest person in your life" He asked her amusingly.

"I was just joking" She chuckled.

"Ahh I thought you were serious. You broke my heart. I was happy to hear that but it was just a lie.." He acted effortlessly.

"Stop it" She rested her head on his shoulder and kept laughing.

"I believed I am the nicest person. Only if I knew my little wife was playing with my feelings..." He kept making her laugh with his words.

...

Inara looked at the couple standing at the bar and she found the woman gawking at Zulaid who was saying something to her.

"Hey!! Where are you lost?" Zulaid waved his hand in front of her eyes.

"That bitch is gawking at you" She told him angrily.

"Let her" He didn't take interest.

"She is so shameless. She is with a man but still looking at others" She narrowed her eyes.

Zulaid did not even turn his head to look at the woman.

"Oh sweetheart she could just stare but you have me. Why are you getting jealous!!" He chuckled.

Inara closed the gap between them and tipped on her toes. She pressed her lips at his. Without giving him a chance to speak she kissed his lips tenderly.

"Nara! We are among people and not alone" His ears turned red in embarrassment.

"Then what? We aren't in our own country. Let her see who have you" She repeated her act but Zulaid still couldn't reciprocate among so many people. He just wrapped his arms around her protectively.

"Damn!! I have never seen a shy guy like you"  She murmured at his lips.

"Kiya karoon shareef admi hoon" He smiled.

(What should I do I am a sober man)

"To main koi badmash hoon" She muttered instantly.

(So am I not sober)

"No. You are fiercer" He smiled.

"Zoi!" She wrapped her arms around his neck.

"Nara!" They silently stared into each other eyes with love in their eyes.

"You are so beautiful" He whispered to her.

"And you are so tall" She wanted to say something better but it slipped through her lips. She moved behind. Her toes were aching for standing long in that uncomfortable position.

"Is my wife hurt!" He carried her bridal style.

"My toes are aching. I always wanted to marry a tall guy so that we have a noticeable height difference but now I realize it's not as interesting as it seems" She ranted in his arms.

He made her sit on a chair. Instead of taking seat with her he sat down in front of her on his knees. He removed her sandals and massaged her toes.

"They won't hurt anymore" He told her, pressing his hands at her feet.

"We are among people" She reminded him.

"Let them see a man taking care of his woman" He mumbled.

"Why are you so sweet and caring?" She pressed her hands on her lips.

"Because I love you" He smiled at her with shine in his eyes.

"But you didn't even kiss me!" She wined.

"Hm didn't I" He muttered, leaning at her face.

"Yes, you didn't" She nodded her head.

"Well I am sorry for that darling!" The next second his lips were at hers and he kissed her lovingly without bothering the people around them.
