nine years later
alysia's pov
"and that night, your momma won five grammys. she also proposed to me that night."
"did you say yes, mommy?" my five year old, augustus ryland, asked as he peered up at me with those big blue eyes that were almost exactly like billie's.
i giggled, reaching a hand up to move his blonde curls from his face. "yes, auggie. i said yes." i explained, tapping his nose, smiling when he burst into a fit of giggles.
"was the ring pretty?" my daughter, gianna noelle, asked.
i nodded. "very pretty. do you wanna see it?" i asked, looking between the twins.
they nodded their heads quickly, so i lifted my left hand to show it to them. they both gasped.
"that is pretty, mommy!" augustus said as he took my hand in his two smaller ones to inspect it closer.
"it looks expensive." gianna mumbled.
"it was."
both of the twins turned their heads and gasped. "momma!" they yelled, quickly climbing off of the bed to run and crash into her legs.
she grinned as she bent down, wrapping them both into a hug. "hi, babies!" she gushed, peppering both of their faces with soft kisses.
their contagious laughter filled the room as they tried to move away. "stop, momma! that tickles!" gianna laughed.
billie pretended to pout as she stopped. "can i at least get a kiss?"
gianna nodded, placing her small hands on each side of bil's face. "mwah!" she said as she placed a quick kiss on her lips.
"love you, gigi." billie beamed.
"love you, too."
"what about me, momma?" augustus asked. "do you love me?"
"i do love you, auggie. more than you'll ever know."
she looked between them. "guess what."
"what?"
"what is it, momma?"
"i got you two something."
"really?"
"yay!"
"but before i give it to you, i've got a question," she looked between the two once more. "have you been good for mommy while i've been gone?"
"yes! really, really, good!" they said at the same time.
billie looked up and met my eyes, asking for confirmation. i nodded, a small smile on my face.
she smiled before digging into her pockets, pulling out two large snickers bars, the twins' favorite candy.
"thank you, momma!"
"you're the best!"
billie beamed as she ran her hand through gianna's short, brown hair a few times. "you're welcome, cuties."
she moved augustus's curls out of his face to place a kiss on his forehead, turning to do the same to gianna. "go get your trays so you don't make a mess, alright?"
they nodded and quickly ran off. "no running in the house!" i called out.
they immediately stopped and turned to face me. "sorry, mommy."
"yeah, sorry, mommy."
"it's okay." i laughed, watching as they went off again, this time walking.
billie walked over to me, wrapping her arms around me, and pressing a kiss to the top of my head. "hey, angel."
"hi, bubbie," i greeted, wrapping my arms around her waist, and laying my head against her chest. "how was tour?"
"it was really good, but i couldn't wait to be home with my family again." she sighed, running her hand through my hair.
i looked up at her. "it's been almost six years and i'm still not over that. our little family."
"me neither." she smiled, leaning down to connect our lips.
"mommies!"
billie groaned lowly as i pulled away, looking towards the twins who had burst into the room. i smacked her hip. "yes, babies?"
"can you open these?" gus asked, holding up the two snickers bars, while gigi held their trays.
"bring them to me and i will."
he quickly walked over to me and held them up to me. i took one in each hand, placing one in my lap so i could open the other one.
"momma." augustus said, tugging at her's pants leg.
she bent down to his level. "yes, my love?"
"can you help me onto the bed?"
she grinned before picking him up and tossing him onto the bed, making him laugh.
"careful, billie." i warned, giving auggie his snickers. "gigi, could you bring the trays?"
she walked over and handed me the trays. i handed augustus's his and he smiled largely before taking a bite of his snickers.
"i am being careful, alysia."
"momma, momma, my turn, please!" gianna yelled.
billie bent down and picked her up and tossed her onto the bed as well. gianna laughed loudly. "again! again! again!"
"not so loud, gigi." augustus whined, his mouth full.
"chew before you speak, augustus." billie warned.
he finished chewing before saying "sorry, momma."
i handed gianna her snickers and her tray, and she gratefully took them, beginning to eat her snickers.
i stared in awe at them. i turned to billie. "auggie looks just like you did." i whispered.
"i know," she marveled. "and gigi looks just like you did."
"she takes after you, though."
"definitely. that kid is just like me. she loves to sing."
"you can't forget playing the ukulele," i added. "i walked in on her playing party favor yesterday."
her eyes widened. "really?!" i nodded and watched as her facial expression softened. "my baby."
i laughed and turned to look at augustus. "auggie takes after me. he won't stop begging for a new camera."
"what's wrong with the one we just got him?"
"gigi knocked it off the table on accident tuesday," i sighed. "she cried for almost an hour because he got mad at her."
"poor angel." she frowned.
"yeah, but he forgave her, and said that it was okay."
she laughed softly, but before she could say anything else, gus interrupted her. "when can we see uncle brendan and aunt dahlia again?"
a few months after billie proposed to me, dahlia and brendan started dating. i was little mad at first, because she was dating my brother, but after realizing how in love they were, i let it slide. plus, after they got married, we became sister-in-laws.
"or uncle tyler and aunt madison?"
tyler had somehow managed to marry madison beer. he still won't tell me how they even met in the first place, which is trash, but oh well i guess.
"or uncle finny and aunt claudia?"
"or uncle mateo and aunt ayala?"
"calm down, angels," billie laughed. "they're all coming to your birthday party next weekend, remember?"
"yay!" they shouted.
auggie crawled over to me and sat in my lap, wrapping his arms around my neck. "i'm tired, mommy."
"yeah?" i asked, moving his curls from his face and placing a kiss on his forehead. i turned to face gianna. "what about you, gigi? are you tired, baby?"
she nodded and crawled over to billie, standing up to wrap her arms around bil's neck, and her legs around billie's waist. billie laughed softly before placing a kiss on her cheek. "let's get you two to bed then."
i waited until billie moved to stand up, picking gus up as i did. we walked to their bedroom across the hall and put them into their own bed. i covered auggie up, pulling the covers all the way to his neck. i kissed the tip of his nose, making him giggle.
"goodnight, augustus. i love you." i said softly, moving his blond curls from his face to place a kiss on his forehead for the millionth time today.
"i love you too, mommy." he grinned.
i stood up and walked over to gianna's bed as billie walked over to auggie's. i bent down and a smile came to my face when gianna leaned up to press a kiss to my cheek. "night, night, mommy. love youuuu."
"goodnight, gianna. i love you too." i smiled as i placed a kiss on her forehead and stood up.
"no, i love you more." i heard billie say.
"nuh uh, momma. you can't love me more if i love you more." augustus argued.
"we'll continue this tomorrow," billie laughed. "goodnight, my sweet boy."
"goodnight, momma."
billie stood up and walked over to the doorway where i stood. she turned the lights off.
"night night, gigi." auggie called out.
"night night, gus gus."
i pouted at their cuteness and i turned to billie to see her doing the same. "angels." she whispered.
i nodded my head in agreement before billie placed her hand on the small of my back, pushing me forward lightly as she shut the twins' bedroom door. when it was shut, she twirled me around, wrapping her arms around my waist, and pulling me close to her.
"hi."
"hi." i giggled.
"i missed you." she murmured.
"i missed you more." i said as i hooked my arms around her neck.
"definitely not possible," she argued. "i missed all my babies hella."
"we missed you hella too." i smiled before connecting our lips.
she immediately melted into the kiss, turning her head slightly to deepen it. i slipped a hand into her roots, tugging at them slightly.
we pulled away a long while after, both of our lips swollen. she scanned my face for a second. "you're so pretty."
i felt myself blush and i rested my forehead on her shoulder. she laughed softly. "i love that i can still make you blush after almost twelve years of being together."
"has it really been that long?" i asked, lifting my head to look at her.
"mhm."
"damn. we're old."
"you are. i'm not."
i reached a hand up to flick her on the forehead. "you're only six months younger than me, you shorty."
"you didn't have to bring my height into this."
"and you didn't have to call me old."
"sorry, baby," she apologized softly. "will you ever forgive me?"
"hmm. maybe." i shrugged.
"what if i let you sleep in tomorrow morning, while i tend to the twins?" she asked.
i pecked her lips. "you're forgiven."
she smiled. "good."
"i'm gonna take a shower. are you gonna come with me?" she questioned after.
i shook my head. "i took a shower earlier."
she nodded. "alright. i'll be out in ten, pretty girl."

billie's pov
i stepped out of the bathroom, clad in only one of alysia's t-shirts. i looked towards our bed, smiling softly when i saw alysia passed out, her phone still on in her hand. i walked over and carefully took her phone, ended the app she was on, then put it on charge.
i crawled into the bed next to her. her brows furrowed deeply as i did before she wrapped her arms around me, pulling herself closer to me. she buried her face into my chest. my face softened as i draped my arm over her, pressing a kiss to the top of her head.
"goodnight, angel. i love you forever." i murmured before falling asleep.

originally, i wasn't going to do an epilogue because i just didn't think about it, but after a few of you asked for it, i decided to make one
and since some of you might be curious, here's kind of a mini timeline of what happened in the time gap.
2022: this is the year that billie proposed. they also got married this year on september 13th, the same day that they became gfs
2024: alysia got pregnant with the twins by insemination in the beginning of july
2025: the twins were born on march 27
2031: present day
