Chapter 20: Chapter 18

In your dreams|James PotterWords: 5764

(I decided to name y/n's aunt and uncle myself)

The sun shines brightly and a gentle breeze hits my skin from time to time. I can smell the scent of the sea and my aunts cooking. The sea air and small wind makes the weather just perfect. Not too hot, but just right.

Spending the summer here is just a great change for a while. I love my aunt and her family.

My aunt is a sweet woman who has long light brown hair and e/c eyes. Same eyes like me and my mother. She also has soft freckles that cover her face. Her husband Felice is a sweet Italian man with darker hair and a tanned skin. My cousin, Angelo is a brunette who has his fathers brown eyes and his mothers freckles.

"Y/N, breakfast is ready!" I hear my mum call from the terrace.

I hop off the swing and walk to the terrace. Everyone is already there.

My aunt and mum are bringing the food from the inside to outside on the table. My uncle and dad are having a conversation. And my little cousin is running around finding activities for himself.

He spots me and runs up to me "Y/N! Will you sit next to me?" He asks looking up to me with his adorable brown eyes.

I smile at him "Of course I will! Come, let's sit down." I hold my hand out for him to grab.

He grins grabbing my hand and starts pulling me towards the table.

Everyone takes their seats and starts eating breakfast. My dad and uncle are both sitting at the opposite ends of the table. Me and Angelo are sitting on the right side, next to each other and my mum and aunt are sitting on the left side.

I let Angelo pick and point to the food what he wants, and then lift it on his plate.

I take some eggs and fruits for myself and start eating.

"So Y/N, how was school this year?" My aunt starts the conversation.

I smile at her. "Oh, it was fantastic! I learned about so many new stuff - potions, spells, wizarding world history, creatures and so on."

My aunt's family found out last summer about me being a witch. So now it's not a secret anymore and I can talk freely. But it was a rather interesting way to find out, if I say so myself.

James and Sirius thought that it would be funny to send me a howler instead of a regular letter.

It was dinner time and I didn't want to open it, because I knew that howlers are loud. I stored it away in my drawer and went downstairs to join the others.

But I forgot one thing. If a howler isn't open at a timely matter, it will open itself and be even louder.

And that's what happened.

We were laughing and having a good time at the dinner table, when suddenly we see a letter zoom into the room and stop right in front of my face.

Nobody could even say anything before it opened and started speaking.

Let's say, my aunt's family was very surprised.

"That's great to hear. Angelo loves the candy that you send him." Aunt Isabella points her fork towards his beaming son who nods his head.

"Can I also go to a magic school when I get older?" Angelo asks his parents.

Aunt Isabella and uncle Felice give me unsure looks, not knowing what to say.

They live all the way down in Italy. I don't think it's possible to receive a letter here. Maybe from some other wizarding school in the area.

"Uh, I'm sure professor Dumbledore will think about it. You would be a wonderful wizard!" I give him an awkward smile.

"Can you ask that Dumbledore man about it?" He gives me pleading eyes.

How can I say no. "Of course I can!" I reassure.

"Thank you, thank you!" He squeals and reaches over to hug my waist. "That's why you're my favorite!"

My heart swells at his words. I wrap my hands around his tiny frame and hug him back. "You're also my favorite."

Everyone at the table smiles looking at us.

"Any updates on your social life? You know a boyfriend or a girlfriend maybe?" Felice gives me a teasing smile.

I look down embarrassed. "Oh not yet. I've not met a special somebody."

At least I think I haven't.

"Oh don't be silly y/n. Tell them about James!" My dad waves his hand not believing my answer.

"Dad!" I whisper yell at him feeling flustered.

My mum elbows my dad. "Don't embarrass our daughter, look at her face!"

I groan and hide my face in my hands.

"Is James your boyfriend?" Angelo's innocent little voice asks confused.

"Don't be embarrassed, dear! When I moved here from England, and met Felice I thought there's nothing between us. And look at us now!" My aunt comforts, grabbing his husbands hand.

"He's my best friend, but so are Remus, Sirius and Lily. He's just, y'know more flirty and that might give off a wrong impression." I try to find words to explain.

"Oh the boy definitely cares about you, I've seen it myself!" My mum gushes.

"So is he not your boyfriend? I'm confused." Angelo looks at me confused.

"No, he's not my boyfriend." I make it clear for him.

He says a little 'oh' and slowly nods his head.

"But he will be when you get older? Like mommy and daddy!" He claps his hands excitedly.

I can't help but laugh at his words and excitement.

"Okay, let's leave poor Y/N alone now. I think it's enough questions for her today." Felice announces, saving me from the embarrassment.

I give him a thankful smile and he nods in return.

"Hey Angelo, didn't you want to go swimming earlier?" I ask the little boy who was getting bored at the table.

"Yes I did! Can we go? Mom, dad can me and Y/N go, please?" He asks eagerly.

"I guess you can go. Only if you are careful and don't go too deep into the water!" Aunt Isabella warns.

"Okay! I'll go and change quickly!" He stands up from the table and runs inside.

I laugh at his excitement and also excuse myself from the table to get ready for swimming.

It's going to be a fun and eventful summer for sure. I can enjoy the beautiful weather here in Italy for a few weeks and then spend the rest with my friends back at home.
