Chapter 28 Maggie was instantly rendered speechless.
Just then, there was another knock on the door, and a man in a suit strolled in elegantly.
Tyler stilled when he saw the scene inside the room and asked, âWhatâs going on?â
Maggie was sharper than Sasha and glanced at Vicky before saying, âAfter finding out what happened, Sheila was plagued with guilt toward Miss Shaw, so she insisted on coming here despite her leg injury and my objection to apologize to Miss Shaw, but...â Maggie paused before continuing pointedly, âIt seems that Miss Shaw is still angry.â
Seeing that Sheila refused to get up until she accepted her apology, Vicky smiled and said, âMiss Young, Miss Perez is right; you have nothing to do with this. You didnât do anything wrong, so you donât have to apologize to me.â
She was wondering why Sheila would go through all the trouble to go to her room for this.
She realized Sheila had staged it for Tyler to see.
Sheila forced a smile. âSasha is my cousin, after all. She has some misunderstanding about Miss Shaw because of me. Thatâs why she keeps targeting Miss Shaw, and a part of it is my fault as well...â
Vicky remained expressionless. âIf youâre truly sorry, then...you should get Sasha here to apologize to me. Sheâs an adult, not a baby. Youâre just her cousin, not her mother. You donât get to take the blame for everything.â
The smile on Sheilaâs face collapsed, and she lowered her eyes as though she was being bullied. âYouâre right, Miss Shaw. Iâll remember that.â
âYour leg is injured, so you shouldnât walk around like this. You should go back and rest, Miss Young,â Vicky said.
Sheila glanced at Tyler and, seeing how he did not say a thing, took the hint. âAlright, Iâll go back now.â
Loving You In Secret (Vicky and Tyler)
ï¤Chapter 27 After Sheila left, Vicky noticed that Tyler remained in her room and reminded him, âMister Hart, Miss Young has left.â
âHm?â
She scowled. âYou can go with her now.â
He remained quiet for a few moments before saying, âIâm here to talk to you.â
Surprised, she asked, âAbout what?â
âCece is out.â
She sighed in relief. âGood.â
She did not thank Tyler. After all, she did not owe him anything. He did not release Cece as a favor to her, and it was merely an opportunity Vicky had earned by risking her life.
It was nothing but a fair trade because her words meant nothing to Tyler.
In the afternoon, Cece was informed that Vicky had been admitted to the hospital and immediately came to visit her.
Cece seemed to have suffered a great deal in prison and slimmed down quite a bit; her face and body were covered in bruises.
Upon arriving, Cece softly asked, âVicky, how did you end up in the hospital again? What happened?â
Instead of telling the truth, Vicky replied, âI just caught a cold and was running a fever. I havenât been in the best of health ever since the car accident, so itâs not odd that this happens.â
