Chapter 781 Oi! Phrasing!
"Mom, it hurts," Shasha said as she tried to break free from Alessia's hug, who had come rushing to the infirmary right after the duel ended.
"You did something very reckless, Shasha," Alessia replied, She then reluctantly pulled back to give her daughter some breathing space. "If you allowed me to help you then you would have won that match."
"I don't want to cheat," Shasha stated.
"That's not cheating," Alessia tried to use reason.
"It's cheating," Shasha insisted.
"Okay fine, it's cheating," Alessia, who saw how stubborn her daughter was becoming, decided to take a step back and nod her head.
Indeed, Shasha had lost her match against Char.
If they had fought the normal way then she might have had a chance of winning.
But, Char challenged her to end the battle in a single move, which put Shasha at a great disadvantage.
Even so, she decided to accept the challenge nevertheless. @@novelbin@@
Shasha had already touched the wall of enlightenment during the battle with Char.
She had always been finding ways on how to fight during the day, and realized that the only thing that limited her Martial Technique was her understanding of her own limitations.
The young lady suddenly had this revelation when she saw the moon in the sky during the day when she had just finished her lunch.
It made her realize that she might have misunderstood the real reason why her brother, Zion, taught this Martial Technique.
She knew that her little brother cared about her very much, so why would he only give her a technique that was only effective for half a day, everyday?
So, when she saw that the moon could still be seen during the day, Shasha had received an enlightenment on how to use her abilities during the day.
'Please don't let it be Erica,' Char prayed silently. 'Please don't let it be Erica.'
She repeated this phrase over, and over in her heart like a chant because she believed that she still had a chance of defeating her opponent if it was Mildred.
However, if she fought against the Sorceress, the chances of winning were nearly non-existent.
When she arrived at the VIP Room, her face turned grim when she saw what was happening in the Arena.
The Sorceress was laughing out loud, as she hurled one fireball after the other against her "friend", who was cursing at Erica as loudly as she could.
"Calm down here and fight me properly!" Mildred shouted in anger. "Don't tell me you're scared?!"
"Zion's stick may break my hips, but your words will never hurt me," Erica replied.
"Oi! Phrasing!" Thirteen couldn't help but comment out loudly because Erica's statement could easily be misunderstood.
Even Pica, and Pico, looked at the Sorceress with admiration because this was something that they could use in the future.
Just as Thirteen expected, boos suddenly spread in the Colosseum as the guys, who thought that Zion and Erica, had already done the deed because they were now engaged, made their dissatisfaction known.
Especially the Erica Fans Club, who were all shouting in anger. "I hate you!" Blue Jay shouted. "I don't need the absolute details. I just want confirmation. Dammit!"
"God! Damn! We want DETAILS!" DaoistGoldeSin demanded.
"Don't do us dirty!" Grimreaper raised his middle finger. "Bruh!" Justxforxfun almost threw his popcorn at the teenage boy on the stage out of anger.
"Thank you for the chapters!" Enraged King raised a placard to show his support.
Mildred, who was so busy dodging against Erica's bombardment, was also firing one arrow after the other.
Thirteen's Hell Training in the Rigel Continent had made Mildred's fighting prowess advance by leaps and bounds, allowing her to survive Erica's onslaught.
She was even secretly thanking Zion for training her body until she reached her limit. If not for that torture, she might have already lost this match, right after her battle with the Erica officially started.
