Mai Qi retracted her hand and raised her chin arrogantly, “It doesn’t matter. I don’t see a ring on your finger so that means I have a chance. Even if you have a ring, I still have a chance. Remember, the name’s Mai Qi!”

Even for Tong Le, he was shocked.

I walked over and held my uncle’s arm intimately. “I’m done unpacking, let’s go eat.”

Tong Le cooperated fully. He patted my head. “Okay, what do you want to eat? You can order anything you want.” I winked at Jing Ni behind me. Jing Ni responded with an okay sign. Even after we had wandered away, I could still feel Mai Qi’s determined gaze boring into us.

I let go of my uncle’s arm after we turned the corner. I stuck out my tongue at him. “Mr. Tong Le, that’s impressive! On my first day of school, you’ve already charmed my roommate. Looks like I’m going to have a little aunt soon!”

Tong Le adjusted his shirt to hide his embarrassment. “What are these people? You should just move back home!”

“I won’t! I’m going to stay and find a little aunt!” I smiled and grabbed his arm again.

“You mean, your little aunt!” He corrected my grammar.

“Yes, my little aunt and your wife!” I was happy.

When we arrived at Jing Tian’s club, I asked my little uncle, “Do we have a club too?”

My little uncle glared at me, “Sister Xing, can you give more attention to our family business? How can not even know if we have a club or not? What if I suddenly pass away, how do I expect you take over the family?”

My expression immediately changed and I hit him. “Touch wood! What are you talking about, Tong Le! Don’t you dare die on me, I’m going to drag you back from hell if you do!” My tears fell.

My little uncle panicked. He didn’t even mind I call him by his name. “Okay, okay, why are you crying? It’s just a figure of speech! It’s not real!”

“Even so, you can’t bring it up! You can’t even ponder that possibility.” I huffed.

“Fine, fine, fine. I won’t talk about it anymore. Sister Xing, aiz! Please stop crying. Come on, give me a smile. Or else when Jing Tian sees me, he’s going to think I was bullying you again.” my little uncle coaxed me clumsily.

Seeing his serious expression, I broke out into a smile. “Has Jing Tian ever blamed you for bullying me?”

“He wouldn’t dare!” My little uncle straightened his spine immediately.

I smiled and laughed.

“Nanxing! Since we’re talking about this, I still haven’t agreed to the matter between you and Jing Tian, so be mindful of yourself. You’re still young, what if you meet someone better than him?” My little uncle told me seriously.

I shook my head, “I won’t. He’s the best man I will ever meet.”

My little uncle sighed and shook his head.

“Nanxing!” Jing Ni’s voice came from the door. She was with Jing Tian. When Jing Ni joined me, she started filling us in on what happened after we left.

“After you left, Mai Qi immediately cornered me to ask me about you guys. Based on how she acted, you’d think she wants to capture your little uncle and make him her husband!”

That made me cough up my drink. The water entered my trachea and I coughed non-stop. However, I still couldn’t stop laughing. Jing Ni continued, “Well, don’t you think she acts like a female bandit? She would have eaten your little uncle whole if she was given the chance!”

Jing Tian looked at us helplessly. He patted my back. “Slow down and drink some water.” I accepted the glass of water and finally the coughing stopped.

My little uncle’s face was dark. He warned, “Anymore of this nonsense and I’ll have you evacuated from your dorm immediately!”

I said hastily, “No, little uncle. We were not laughing at you, we’re laughing at that Mai Qi!”

“Isn’t that the same thing?” My little uncle was furious.

Jing Ni and I quickly shut our mouths.

My little uncle’s expression evened out somewhat.

“How is it the same thing? Who is this Mai Qi anyway?” Jing Tian was curious.

Jing Ni and I exploded in laughter again. My little uncle was always polite around Jing Ni but he didn’t have the same reservation around me and Jing Tian.

He punched Jing Tian, “Why are you so nosy? Why did you have to bring her up again?”

Jing Tian was confused, “But I really don’t know who she is! Why don’t you tell me more about her then?”

Jing Ni and I were rolling in laughter.
