“Nanxing, I’m sorry, you were right. My friends aren’t really your friends. I was being too naive.” Mai Qi admitted.

Jing Ni thought for awhile and said, “Nanxing, before I met you, I never thought that one day, I’d be walking through M University as its student. I’ve already achieved my first goal. I don’t need anything else.”

I asked. “Jing Ni, you know that Jing Tian will not chase you and Auntie Bai Rui away from his villa. He doesn’t even mind if you stay with him forever. So why are you making things so hard on yourself?”

Jing Ni smiled. “I know but that is ultimately 7th Uncle’s home. He’ll one day marry and I hope his wife is you. I know you won’t chase us out either but I want a place I can call my own, a place where my mom can feel safe. Or else mom’s heart is always hanging. She is always worried. I need to help her anchor to the ground.”

I was silent but I had to admit Jing Ni was right. If I were her, I’d do the same thing. I stopped and said, “Ni Ni, you’ll have my full support. But if you need help, don’t hesitate to come to me.”

Jing Ni smiled. “Nanxing, thank you but I wish to rely on myself.”

I shook my head. “Ni Ni, hear me out first. I intend to start a business and I need an assistant. Would you take the job?”

Jing Ni was intrigued. “What do you mean?”

I smiled. “When everything is ready, I’ll tell you. The most important thing now is for us to focus on our studies. In the future, I will need your business expertise.”

Jing Ni smiled. “Okay! If you need me, I’ll always be there.”

I was serious about starting a business. I wanted to pick up where my mother left off.

Brother Hu’s unit had been with Gao Jing and Gao Da for quite some time already. They had improved a lot. I didn’t forget that we still had a club. It was not part of Dragon’s Gate or Ardent Flame Alliance, but my club would be called Sky City.

I could understand because Jing Ni probably felt the same way.
