His gaze on me became more gentle. “Flattered? Not offended?”

“I heard that you’ve even started your own company in your spare time. You specialize in backtracking, economic analysis, and resource integration. You even provide headhunting services.”

I nodded. “Sir, you’ve done a lot of research. Yes. If you have any interest to do business with us, we welcome it. I am sure you’ll be satisfied by the result.”

“We? There is more than one of you?” He focused on the things that interested him.

I nodded. “Yes, there is a team.”

“How many people are there?” He raised his eyebrows. He was intrigued.

I said proudly, “Quality over quantity. One of us is a student of business management, she is very good at resource integration. Me and my friend are computer science majors. We do very good economic analysis. Sir, what is your need? How can we help you?” I assumed that this man sought me out for my service. That way I also felt less pressure.

He did not answer me but instead asked, “Why did you start this company? Are your two friends short on money? But why do you need so much money anyway? You’re just university students.”

I nodded. “We need both money and working experience in preparation for our lives after graduation.”

He was puzzled. “With your family background, why do you need to prepare after graduation? Even if you don’t work, your little uncle should be able to look after the three of you for life. Furthermore, I heard that your boyfriend is Master Qi. So a life of luxury shouldn’t be an issue for you even if you don’t work.”
