Author's POV
After the blunder ruhaan made he straight went to his study room. Throwing his coat on couch he sat on chair. Thinking about sitara. He never behaved this way with her before. He wants to punish himself for doing this. But his mind wasn't in his control. The whole night he spend sleeping on his chair and meera spend her whole night sleeping in sitting position on sofa.
Ruhaan was sleeping uncomfortably on chair when he heard a door opening sound. He saw advik standing there with annoying expression
"Good morning bhai" ruhaan wished him while standing
"Did you sleep here" advik asked ignoring his previous words
Ruhaan didn't say anything which was a clear answer to advik. He shook his head in disbelief.
"Go and get ready, I need to talk to you both" ruhaan ordered him
"Bhai, I don't know what do you want to talk. But keep one thing in your mind that I won't accept sitara as my wife" ruhaan said raising his voice little
"Are you out of your mind ruhaan, you married her. She is your wife" advik said matching his tone
"I didn't told her to marry me. And keep everything aside. She knows about my past. She is okay with living this life with me" ruhaan said looking into his eyes
"Yes she is living in this hopeless life after knowing everything and you, you are disgusting ruhaan areh she left her own house her own father because of you" advik said loosing his temperature
"Who said her to do, I didn't. And it was our secret but see she spilled it out to you " ruhaan said rolling his eyes In anger
"Usne khudne nahi bataya,Maine kasam di thi use apni, and you know what use apne rishto kadar hai"
(She didn't told me willingly, I gave my swore. And you know what She knows how to respect relationship) advik said with the same tone
Ruhaan's anger flew, his eyes which were red is now soften he is in guilt now for shouting at her. She wasn't in fault.
"Adiiiii" akshita came from behind calling advik
They both turned their gaze and saw her standing. They smiled at her as if nothing has happened
"Bhabhi" ruhaan happily said and run to hug her
"Stop" akshita showed her palm
Advik too came near them
"Bhabhi, I am sorry i was on time but my flight got delayed " ruhaan resonate
"I don't know anything, I'm not talking to you. It was my special day, our special day" She said putting her hand on her stomach " and see thier chachu didn't came" Akshita said scrunching her nose "my kids are angry with thier chachu" She said turning her head on other side
"Chachu loves them alot, and your brother too.believe me Bhabhi I wanted to come but I was helpless " ruhaan said
"Sorry but you're not forgiven" akshita said folding her hands around her arms "advik I want to go to papa's place will you drop me" She said ignoring ruhaan on which advik nodded. Then she left
"Ruhaan you go and come fast for breakfast I'll talk to akshita and i will talk to you both in the office" advik said and left. Ruhaan too left.
When he reached to his room he took long breath and knocked the door. But it wasn't locked from inside so he opened and entered. He moved his gaze everywhere but couldn't find sitara so he thought she might be downstairs
He locked the room and turned but collides with sitara. Sitara was about to fall but he hold her by her waist. She closed her eyes. Ruhaan tighten his hold on her waist. She opend her eyes and saw ruhaan already staring at her. She somehow managed to stood up. Maintaining distance she adjusts her saree.
"I..I'm sorry I didn't see you" sitara said looking everywhere but ruhaan
"It's okay" Ruhaan said and sitara turned her heels to leave but Ruhaan hold her wrist and stopped her. Sitara felt the whole zoo inside her. It is for the first time ruhaan touched her intentionally. She controlled her emotions and looked at him with confusion
"I'm sorry, Advikbhai told me that you didn't told him willingly " Ruhaan said looking at her
Sitara opened her mouth to say something but akshita called her shouting her name from downstairs
"Bhabhi is calling" after saying this she removed her hand from his grip and left.Ruhaan stood there rubbing his temple in frustration.
When Ruhaan came downstairs after freshen up.he saw his whole family sitting at dinning. Only one seat left that too beside of sitara. He sat beside her and wished everyone. But in reply he only got wishback from Mayra. Sitara, akshita and ruhaan are in one row and advik Nishtha and Mayra infront of them. Kabir was sitting on host seat.
"Sitara pass me that bowl" akshita said pointing the bowl which was near to ruhaan. Before sitara can react Ruhaan hold the bowl and passed it to akshita
"Sitara i told YOU to pass" akshita said scrunching her nose. First it was her moodswings which were making her irritated and now Ruhaan's incident
Everyone sighed. Ruhaan put bowl at its place and started eating.
"Advik can i please eat some chocolate ice-cream on our way to papa's place" akshita said
Advik opened his mouth to say but Ruhaan interrupted
"No bhabhi, you can't eat this much sweet. Mayraa told me you ate so much sweet yesterday " Ruhaan said being protective towards his bhabhi and her kids.
"Aapne meri baat mani, jo mai apki baat maanu"
(You didn't listen to me why should I listen) Akshita said narrowing her eyes
"But you can't let your health in between " Ruhaan retorted
"Why you care, you didn't attend yesterday's function " akshita replied
"I told you na and by the way bhai why are you even listening to her, you know na doctor said no to sweets" Ruhaan argued
"Why are you dragging Adi in this,it's our matter na" akshita yelled in frustration
"Stoppppppppp" sitara yelled at both. She was sitting in middle and her ears are getting tired now
They both went silent.
"Eat in silence " kabir ordered and they obeyed
After finishing breakfast kabir stood
"Sitara, advik I'm going to construction area I'll be late" kabir told
"Okay dad" sitara said and advik nodded
After kabir left, Nishtha too left for her NGO.
"Sitara I'll come after dropping akshi" advik informed
"Ji bhai, bye bhabhi" sitara hugged akshita. And they both left too
"Mayraa you'll get bored alone, do you want to come office" sitara asked as Mayra is staying for two days
"No bhabhi,I'm going to meet my friends" Mayra told and sitara nodded. Sitara left to her room to bring her belongings
"Bhai I understand you, don't worry sab samaj jayenge" Mayra said putting her hand on Ruhaan's shoulder. Ruhaan smiled at her.
"Thank you mayra" ruhaan said and kissed her hand
Sitara came and hugged Mayra. Not finding Ruhaan present she sighed and left
When she reached to parking area she found ruhaan standing leaning to his car with glasses on his face.
Sitara ignored him and moved towards her car but Ruhaan came infront of her. He removed his glasses.
"Agar manjil ek hai to safar alag kyu"
(We are going to the same destination, then why should go different ways) Ruhaan said
"Manjil bhale hi ek hai, magar raste to shuru se alag hai" sitara said and sadly chuckled
Ruhaan stood there with no expression and sitara left
Reaching office sitara wished her staff and sat on her chair of her cabin.
She was working on laptop when one peon came and told her that advik is calling her. She nodded and left.
When she opened advik's cabin door she found Ruhaan already sitting there. Both the men turned and saw her
"Sit sitara" advik said pointing on chair near Ruhaan. Finding seriousness in advik's voice she sat without any question
"Sitara, Ruhaan you both are not happy in this marriage right" advik came straight to the point
Ruhaan and sitara shared a look. Getting no reply from both of them advik again spoke
"I have a solution for this" advik said and both tilted thier gaze to advik in confusion
"Get divorce " advik said and both of theme's eyes got widen
"What are you saying bhai" sitara asked in disbelief tone. Ruhaan was in shock too
"Yes, if you are not happy in this marriage then split apart" advik suggested
"No bhai I can't " sitara instantly said. Ruhaan looked at her. " I mean I have a family like you all because of this marriage. I can't let you all go" sitara spoke
"Sitara, it's not about family. It's about you both. You can't live your life like this in a name of family. And we will be family after separation too" advik said making her understand
"But bhai, what will we tell to our family" Ruhaan asked. After hearing this sitara felt like someone stabbed knife in her chest
"Leave it to me I'll handle" advik said
"Bhai, I think we should wait till bhabhi's delivery. She is already facing alot and I guess we shouldn't tell her about us" Ruhaan said
"Yes bhai, we will think about this after bhabhi's delivery. Let's wait till then" sitara suggested
"Okay we will wait and I'm giving you both time to think. Tell me your final decision after 3 months" advik ordered
"Yes bhai" they both said in union. After this sitara went to her cabin and Ruhaan to his.
"I don't have any other way" advik said himself
Sitara sat on her chair and put her head on table. She is still shock. Thinking about getting apart from ruhaan tear slipped from her eye. She immidiatley wiped her tear.
"May I come in ma'am " a voice came and sitara adjusted herself and said "yes"
Peon came and gave her papers which was sent by advik. After looking into it her hands started shivering. Her eyes got widen. Only one word left from her mouth while trembling.
"Divorce papers"
