Her lipstick was a bit smudged. Sensing that someone was watching her, Sophia turned her head, put down her mirror, and gave Ellinor a cheesy grin. âHey! Ellinor! I saw you chatting with Byran earlier and didnât want to interrupt. You left early yesterday; did you sleep well last night?â
Ellinor frowned slightly, answering calmly. âThanks for your concern; I slept very well.â
Sophia giggled. âThatâs good! I was worried that if anything upset you last night, it might affect your sleep.â
Ellinor cracked a little smile. âWhy would you think something would keep me from sleeping?â
Sophia shrugged. âMaybe seeing Theo come to my birthday party might upset you? Ellinor, I totally get it. If I saw my ex celebrating another girlâs birthday, Iâd be bummed too!â
Ellinor chuckled. âThen youâre overthinking! Even if you two got together, it wouldnât affect my sleep.â
Sophia rested her chin on her hand, grinning cheekily. âReally? What if we did get together last night?â
Ellinor raised an eyebrow. âLast night?â
Sophia nodded. âYep, I didnât plan on telling you, but since you mentioned it, you probably wonât get mad. So, let me be frank; last night, Theo and I were together!â
Ellinor squinted at her. âSophia, are you sure it was last night?â
She was video chatting with Theo all night yesterday; how could he have been with Sophia?
Did they do something unknown to her after she fell asleep?
Sophia giggled shyly. âWell, you left early last night, and then Bartlett came looking for you. We checked the hotel surveillance and saw Theo carrying you out.â
At this point, Sophiaâs tone became somewhat sarcastic.
Ellinor explained. âThatâs because I was hypoglycemic and fainted. Otherwise, he wouldnât have carried me.â
Sophiaâs grin grew wider. âEllinor, thereâs no need to explain, I know. Theo told me yesterday because he didnât want me to misunderstand. Iâm not mad.â
Ellinor gave her a cold laugh. No one cared if she was mad or not. She was just stating the facts.
Sophia touched her face dreamily. âThen Bartlett and I went out looking for you two. By the time we found Theoâs car, you were gone. Bartlett went to look for you, and I got in Theoâs car, so he could drive me back to the hotel.â
Ellinor replied indifferently. âOh.â
Sophia winked flirtatiously. âArenât you curious about what happened next?â
Ellinorâs gaze was indifferent. âNot really.â
âEven if you donât ask, Iâm gonna tell you!â Sophia giggled and continued,â Then Theo told me he was upset and wanted to sit in my room for a while, hoping I could have a drink with him. As you know, Ellinor, when a man and a woman are alone and thereâs alcohol involved, things can easily happenâ¦â
As she spoke, Sophia covered her face with her hands, acting shy but also savoring the moment.
Ellinor really had nothing to say to her.
âEllinor, I think I should thank you!â
Thank me for what?â
