Ida didnât tell him outright, but she didnât lie either. When he asked, she copped to it.
Byran stared blankly at Idaâs message on his phone as his hand slightly shook.
Ellinor noticed Byranâs weird vibe. âWhatâs up with you?â
Byran acted like he didnât hear her and awkwardly rubbed his red and swollen eyes. âNah, nothing!â
Ellinor squinted at him and noticed that he was trying to hold back tears. âWhat on earth are you doing?
Got dumped by Ida, didnât you?â Byran realized he was a terrible actor and turned his face away.
âNope! Iâve gotta hit the books for the exam; Iâm going to study!â
With that, he bolted up the stairs.
Ellinor was left in a state of confusion.
Balfour chimed in. âJust let it slide. Heâs always up and down like that.â
Ellinor furrowed her brow, wondering if that was really the case.
âBy the way, Ellinor, I ordered some stuff for your delivery. It should be here soon. Check it out and see if you like it. If anythingâs missing, just let me know.â
âIâve got all I need. You better cancel the order before the stuff gets here, Mr. Howard!â
Balfour disagreed. âWhat you got is yours, and what I got for you is out of my good will. The more, the merrier. Itâll come in handy.â
Ellinor knew Balfour wouldnât back down. He didnât want to waste her breath, so she let it go.
Sheâd just pay him back when she transferred the money later.
At the time, Sophia was dragged to the corner by the Howard familyâs servants and then let go.
Looking at the formidable servants of the Howard family, Sophia realized that if she went back, sheâd definitely be dragged back again. But she didnât want to miss such a golden opportunity.
This was her best shot to cause trouble for Ellinorâs baby..
Before, she couldnât do anything to Ellinorâs belly without leaving traces.
And she never played a game she wasnât sure she could win.
So she even considered raising the baby with Theo once it was born. After all, Theo had an adopted child anyway.
There was no difference when it came to raising one or two. Sheâd also have her own baby with Theo later.
Though this was her plan, she was still a bit reluctant.
What woman would want to raise the baby the man she loved had with another woman?
If she waited now, Ellinorâs baby might be born safely.
Marissa Blanchet placed great importance on Ellinorâs baby. If it turned out to be a boy, it would be endless trouble for Sophia.
The child adopted by the Blanchet family could at most enjoy good food and education in the Blanchet family, but definitely wouldnât inherit anything.
But it was different for the baby Ellinor gave birth to.
This child was Theoâs biological child and Marissaâs and Putnamâs first grandchild. His status might threaten her and Theoâs future children.
Sophia stopped at the intersection and thought of a solution to her problem for a long time. She made up her mind and headed straight for an advertising shop on the roadside.
The clerk-saw her and asked, âCan I help you with something, miss?â
Sophia replied, âI need to print some leaflets. When can you get them done at the earliest?â
