âFrom the get-go, you shouldâve listened to me and straight up asked Theo whether heâd be your boyfriend or not. If he refused, so what? You wanted to start off as friends and wasted so much of your prime years!â
Sophia still didnât agree with her dadâs perspective. âDad! You just donât get it! Theo is different from other guys. If Iâd confessed my feelings from the start, we might not even have become friends; he wouldâve totally ghosted me.â
Thaddeus scoffed seriously, âSo what if he ghosts you? There are plenty of fish in the sea. My daughter wonât be short of suitors, right? I can introduce you to guys way hotter than Theo.â
Sophia firmly said, âHow can any guy compare to Theo? Dad, I donât care; I donât want anyone but Theo. You must help me get rid of that Ellinor. I never want to see her around Theo again!â
Previously, Sophia didnât think much of Patricia. Although she was obsessed with Theo, she knew Theo didnât like fragile and affected women like Patricia; they would never work out.
But she hadnât expected Ellinor to show up.
Originally, she didnât want to completely get rid of Ellinor, fearing it would create a rift between her and Theo or that if Ellinor died when Theo needed her most, she would become a scar in Theoâs heart, making him miss her forever.
Now she couldnât care less, feeling that if she didnât get rid of Ellinor, sheâd really have to watch Ellinor and Theo live a happy life together.
Although Thaddeus didnât like how Theo treated his daughter, he hated to see her sad and disappointed even more. He decided to make a promise to her.
âDonât worry, that woman is just asking for trouble by competing with my daughter for a man. You just got off the plane, so go take a bath and rest a bit. Leave this matter to me.â
Sophia nodded sadly as she left her fatherâs embrace and headed towards Thaddeus Manor.
While watching his daughterâs aggrieved figure walk away, Thaddeusâs face showed a murderous look.
He ordered the people around him to immediately investigate the woman who was fighting for Theo with his daughter.
On her way back to her room, Sophia ran into a beautiful woman with a seven or eight-year-old girl.
The woman was in her forties, with long hair falling over her shoulders, a gentle demeanor, and an aura of intellectual beauty.â
Sophia glanced at the woman with disdain and muttered, âVixen!â
âSophiaâs back.â The woman seemed not to hear her curse. She smiled gently at Sophia and then softly instructed the little girl beside her. âLea, your sister is back; say hi to her.â
The little girl, hugging a teddy bear, defiantly glared at Sophia. âI donât want to call her sister! Sheâs not my sister; she bullies you. Sheâs a bad woman!â
The woman said sternly, âLea, how can you treat your sister like this? Apologize to her right now!â
The little girl arrogantly turned her face away. âI didnât say anything wrong; I wonât apologize!â
The woman looked embarrassed and apologized to Sophia.
âSophia, this child is too willful. She doesnât understand. After I teach her a lesson, I will make her apologize to you.â
Sophia sneered. âAlright, you donât have to pretend in front of me. If you didnât teach her, she wouldnât treat me like this. Never mind, itâs fine if she doesnât see me as her sister, I donât want to consider her my sister anyway.â
