With a frown, Lea approached Sophia, looking up at her tall sister. She stretched out her hand, saying, âWell, then you should return my drawing now.â
Sophia didnât see anything wrong with the drawing and didnât want to argue with Lea in front of their father. After all, she had just promised him that she would get along well with Lea.
So she gave the drawing back to Lea without hesitation.
Lea grabbed the drawing and rolled her eyes at Sophia without any courtesy. Then, she handed the drawing over to a frantic and annoyed Tristanâ in front of everyone. âHere. Your aunt gave you this drawing, so take care of it.â
Adrian took back the drawing. His face lightened up a bit as he pouted. âThank you, Auntie.â
âYouâre welcome.â Lea nodded and turned to her father. âDad, you see, Tristan is quite sensible and polite. Itâs just a pity that some people donât know how to teach.â
Thaddeus looked a bit embarrassed.
Sophia naturally heard the sarcasm in Leaâs tone, and she gritted her teeth. âYouâ¦â
Lea completely ignored Sophia, taking hold of Tristanâs small hand. âLetâs go, Tristan. Iâll take you to your dad.â
Tristan obediently nodded. âOkay.â
Then he followed Lea out, leaving Sophia alone with Thaddeus, her face looking rather ugly.
Not far from the suite, Lea looked back to confirm that Sophia hadnât followed her. Then she whispered to Tristan, âI know youâre not Tristan.â.
Adrianâs expression was frozen. He looked at Lea with surprise and guilt.
His reaction further confirmed Leaâs suspicions.
âI can tell that you hate Sophia as much as I do, donât you?â
Adrian had liked his aunt, Lea, from the start. He felt like she wasnât a bad person, so he didnât want to pretend anymore. He nodded honestly.
Lea laughed. âI knew it!â
Adrian was puzzled. âHow did you know?â
âAt the beginning, you were happy when I gave you the drawing, saying youâd give it to your mommy. I thought you were talking about Sophia. But when you were so reluctant to let Sophia touch the drawing, I knew. The mommy you were talking about wasnât Sophia at all.â
Adrian pouted. âAuntie⦠Well, youâre not really my aunt, but can I ask you not to tell anyone about this.â
Lea glanced at him. âDonât worry, I wonât tell. If I wanted to, I would have said it already.â
Adrian trusted her. âThank you!â
Lea then asked, âCan you tell me how you ended up here? Where is the real Tristan?â
Adrian scratched his head with some frustration. âWell⦠We were accidentally swapped one day. The real Tristan should be at my house now.â
He described the situation to Lea, who listened with disbelief. Could such a coincidence really happen in this world? The two kids looked exactly alike.
This was definitely not a simple matter.
Lea suddenly had another guess. âDo you have a picture of your mommy? I want to see what she looks like.â
Adrian shook his head. âI donât have one on me right now, but my mommy is really pretty.â
