Baber and Adrian, old acquaintances of Theo, watched in a mix of surprise and delight as Theo took down the bad guy for them, occasionally letting out a loud cheer.
Layla, laying her eyes on this man for the first time, blinked as her big eyes filled with admiration and a touch of curiosity.
Ellinor, on the other hand, watched calmly. She yawned lazily, as if she found Theoâs movements too slow.
As the chubby boyâs father lay on the ground, unable to even crawl, Theo finally felt satisfied. He pulled out a handkerchief from his chest pocket to wipe his hands, then disdainfully and coldly tossed it on the man on the ground, saying in a light and arrogant tone, âMy name is Theo. If you have a problem with me, feel free to find me.âBooks Chapters Are Daily Updated Join & Stay Updated For All Books Updatesâ¦
Upon hearing the name Theo, the father of the chubby kid lying on the ground practically bulged his eyes out.
Theo! It was him. So, the woman and Baber were his wife and son?!
No wonder he couldnât find any background information about the woman and Baber. They were related to a truly terrifying man.
He had truly offended a big shot this time. Not being beaten to death was already considered a kindness.
After resolving the issue, Theo turned around to get in Ellinorâs car.
Just then, someone from behind called out to him. âHey, Theo! You leaving this little gem behind?â
Turning around at the sound, Theo saw his longtime friends Jonah Wyton and Kemp Larios each getting out of a jeep that had just smashed into those sedans Jonah was holding Theoâs son, Tristan.
He was so eager to find his wife that he almost forgot about his son.
Theo walked a few steps towards them and took his son. âYou two go on ahead. Letâs catch up some other time.â
Jonah grumbled. âDamn it, Theo! You disappear for three years, scare the hell out of us, then call us to help you find your wife. Once you find her, you just kick us to the curb? Youâre not even inviting us for a meal?â
Kemp shrugged, nodded, and, for the first time, found himself agreeing with Jonah.
Theo didnât have time for them.
âAnother time.â He said coldly.
Then he turned around to get into Ellinorâs car with his son.
Jonah wanted to continue his rant, but Kemp held him back.
âKemp, why are you stopping me? I want to yell at that womanizer a bit more!â
âEnough! Yell at him another day! Canât you see heâs in a hurry now? Come on, my treat.â
Jonah gave Kemp a sideways glance. âWhatâs the occasion?â
âHavenât you been eyeing my two bottles of fine whiskey?â
âOh, youâre being generous! Well then, donât mind if I do!â Jonah laughed heartily, shrugged, and followed Kemp.
After Jonah and Kemp took off, Theo had Tristan buckled up in Ellinorâs car, leaving the four kids to sit in the back. He then motioned for Ellinor to join him in the front.
He drove away from the place where the unpleasant incident had just occurred.
After a short distance, he stopped the car under a large tree, by the side of the road.
Ellinor frowned. âWhy are we stopping? Out of gas?â
Ignoring her question, Theo turned his body and looked at the four little ones sitting in a row in the back, saying in a stern voice, âClose your eyes!â
