Ellinor and Theo had been chatting in the study for quite a while.
Ellinor had managed to iron out all her doubts. She tried to get up from Theoâs embrace but was held back.
The man leaned in, attempting to get affectionate.
Ellinor turned her face away and poked his chest. âYou better go take a shower, then we can talkâ¦â
Theo squinted. âA shower? What are you planning on doing to me?â
Ellinor rolled her eyes. âWhoâs planning on doing what? I just donât like the smell of other people on you.â
Theo pretended to be hurt. âIâm clean, Ellinor. I may have forgotten about you for a while, but I havenât done you wrong. I donât smell like anyone else.â
Ellinor frowned. âIâm talking about your clothes. The smell of the laundry detergent on them is from someone else. I donât like it!â

Thinking about this, he finally let go of her. âAlright, Iâll go clean up and throw these clothes away. From now on, Iâll only wear what you give me.â
Even though Ellinor looked disgusted, she felt sorrow for everything they had been through. She pursed her lips and said, âGo on! Your grandparents must be both excited and nervous to see you after such a long time. Weâre having a family dinner tonight.â
Theo obediently nodded. âSure, my love.â
Ellinor thought for a moment and added, âAfter dinner, get some rest. You should return to work at the company tomorrow. I donât want to handle the pile of issues your company has every day.â
Theo stood up and ruffled Ellinorâs hair with his large hand. âAlright, Iâll listen to you.â
Ellinor seemed to have endless things to say, âAlso, Iâm planning to take you somewhere during lunch break tomorrow. Make sure to free up your schedule.â
Theo was rather curious. âHmm? Where do you want to take me?â
âCanât you be patient, Theo? Youâll find out tomorrow. Now, go take your shower.â
After saying this, Ellinor quickly exited the study, fearing that the man would pull her in for another cuddle and kiss. She was feeling a bit exhausted and didnât have the energy to resist.
Theoâs gaze was filled with tenderness and affection as he watched her exit the study.
After descending the stairs, Ellinor found the butler, Devin, and gave him some instructions.
Devin understood and nodded, immediately turning to make the arrangements.
Next, she was going to head to the kitchen to arrange dinner. As she was walking towards the kitchen, someone burst in, creating a commotion.
Suddenly, someone tackled her, almost startling her to death.
Ellinor was taken aback. Due to the lack of oxygen from earlier, she almost fell over. Then she felt a deep sense of helplessness.
