Finally, Ivy had snagged the perfect opportunity; they had just wrapped a scene, and Ryan still catching his breath from the effort.

The take had just ended after several attempts and it wasn’t easy to nail it.

“Great work, Ryan,” Ivy said as she handed him a bottle of water, and Ryan looked up in surprise at the person offering it.

It was Ivy!

She was actually going out of her way to bring him a drink, which suggested to him that she was really feeling the strain of the scene.

“Thanks, and sorry about that. It took a while to capture those subtle emotions,” he said.

Ivy shook her head, signaling her understanding.

“From the director to us actors, we all want to deliver our best performance. It’s natural to have a few takes.”

Usually, under Colton’s direction, it was a miracle if a scene didn’t require a dozen tries. But had Ivy’s dedication rubbed off on the rest of them, Ryan included?

Now they were nailing scenes in just a few takes, a marked improvement from when they began.

“Thanks for understanding,” Ryan said, genuinely pleased.

Ivy was also relieved and nodded before suggesting they find a place to sit down and have a proper chat.

“What?”

Ryan couldn’t help but find it a bit absurd after hearing Ivy’s proposal.

“Ms. Dunhill, are you saying we should formally address these ‘ship’ fans and tell them we’re just friends?”

Ivy looked troubled but nodded. “It seems to be the only solution I can think of right now. If the fans get too carried away with shipping us, it could reflect poorly on the production. That’s why I was thinking about clarifying things with you.”

Ivy’s brow was furrowed with worry.

Ryan, however, felt quite the opposite. He saw the fans’ enthusiasm as a boost for the show. After all, people are visual creatures who love to see attractive people in love, aren’t they?

Besides, the production was willing to invest in generating buzz.

In any case, the best outcome was for the show to become a hit, as long as they could keep things under control.

“How about this, Ms. Dunhill, let’s grab dinner later and discuss how to clarify things properly.”

With Ryan taking the initiative, Ivy immediately agreed.

Colton had said there was no need to pay much attention to the shipping fans, so whatever Ivy wanted to do, she’d have to discuss it with Ryan.

“Let’s order first! We have plenty of time to talk” Ivy said, not realizing that their simple meal together would also be snapped by the paparazzi and cause a stir online.

“I’m crying, this is just too perfect. It’s like Christmas for the fans!”

“I’ve saved the picture! Oh my god, am I dreaming? I hope my ship comes true!”

The photos of their meal together looked casual and cozy, and through the lens of their fans, it seemed like a secret date between lovers.
