Ahab shot him a condescending glance. “Just sit tight, and you'll find out at the meeting, won't you? | might know a thing or two, but loose lips sink ships, my friend.”

The man’s face soured at Ahab’s high-and-mighty act.

“Well, that’s certainly something to look forward to,” he said dryly.

“What's there for you to look forward to? It’s not like it’s gonna be you. Some folks know exactly what's coming their way. Just look at them, trying to make the most of their desk time while they still can.”

Ahab’s gaze was blatantly fixed on Regina, prompting the man to frown and think less of Ahab’s reliability. Regina was diligent, far more so than the veterans in the office.
