Ellinor recently realized that it was useless to argue with a man in bed. So, she didnât respond and said, âTheo, knock it off! Belindaâs waiting for my call! She might be in a crunch, get up! Weâll talk about your stuff later.â
The phrase talk laterâ could set a manâs mind racing.
He didnât want to be a bother at this moment, especially when she was preoccupied with something else. So he got up and let her be for now.
Ellinor got up instantly, found her phone, dashed to the bathroom, locked the door, and then called Belinda back.
If she didnât lock the door, heâd definitely barge in again.
The call connected quickly, and Belindaâs voice was cheery, as if sheâd been waiting for her call. âWhat were you up to? I called you loads of times!â
âI left my phone in the bedroom and just went down to grab a bite. Whatâs up? Anything urgent?â
Belindaâs voice faltered again, âItâs about Chaseâ¦â
âChase?â Ellinorâs wandering gaze focused instantly, âDid he mess with you?â
Belinda quickly denied, âNo, no! He didnât mess with me⦠Itâs justâ¦â
âSpill it! Ellinor grew impatient, wanting to know what the heck was going on.
Sheâd just warned Chase to stay away from Belinda; did he just blow it off?
Chase was no saint, and Belinda was the type to lose all sense when in love. If something was indeed going on between them, itâd be a big headache.
Belinda hemmed and hawed for a while, but found it hard to say over the phone, âOh, forget it, letâs talk about you and Theo first!â
âMe and Theo? Whatâs up with us?â
Belinda replied, âYour wedding photos! The studioâs been waiting for you to pick them up. They couldnât reach you, so they called me. I figured you guys were probably finding it a drag, so I went to pick the photos for you. I just got the album today; itâs absolutely stunning! If you guys are free now, come over to my place to get your wedding photos, and Iâd like to talk to you about Chase in person.â
Ellinor frowned. The wedding photos werenât a big deal to her; what she cared about was what Chase had done to Belinda!
Seemed like she wouldnât get the details over the phone.
âOkay, wait for us and weâre heading over now.â
After hanging up, Ellinor came out of the bathroom, ready to tell Theo that they needed to go to Belindaâs.
She had just stepped out of the bathroom, and before she could utter a word, he pushed her against the wall.
His touch tickled Ellinorâs neck, and her cheeks flushed. âQuit fooling around! Belinda wants us to pick up our wedding photos!â
Theo sounded lazy, âNo rush; we can pick them up tomorrow.â
Ellinor frowned, âYou may not be in a hurry, but I am!â
Theo chuckled softly and blew softly into her ear, âTake it easy; I got you.â
