Chapter Twenty Five: Updated and Edited 2025
"OMG!" I say as i walk out onto the porch of the pack house, looking out at the drive "Did he do this?" I ask as i smile at Leah and she smiles back and nods.
I walk up to the limo and i tap on the window and it roles down
I shake my head and i watch as Jacob opens the door and walks out, putting his arms out
I walk into his arms and i hug him
"Well don't you look dapper?" I say as i pull back from him and i look over him.
"Decided that i would dress smart... for you" He tells me as i smooth down his jacket.
"Well you look great" I say
"Let's go" He says and i jump into the back of the limo with the others.

"This is amazing" I say as i walk into the middle of the dance floor with Jacob.
I look around at all of the roses everywhere- very on theme and causing the whole room to look like a sea of flowers.
Jacob grabs me a rose and hands it to me.
"Thanks" I say as i smile at him just as a slow song starts to come on.
I laugh as he pulls me to him and we start to slow dance.
"Jacob..." I say as i lift my head from his shoulder after a while and i look at him
"Do you ever think about what the future could hold for us?" I ask
He looks down at me with a small smile
"I'm not sure what it looks like" he tells me honestly "but I know that we will be in each others" he finishes
I smile as I nod
"The mate bond..." I start, but I trial off, not sure show to say it
"Don't worry about it" he reassures me "we will complete it whenever we are ready" he says
I blush as I look at him
I pull my face close to his ear as I touch the back of his short hair as he continues to sway us
"I couldn't have asked for a better mate" I whisper
He smiles as he holds my waist and we continue dancing slowly
"I just can't believe it took us so long to meet each other, considering our families are so connected" he says
I nod as he holds me
"But we are here now, together, and that's what matters" I whisper as he spins us around.
After I spin I land close to him, my hand steadily on his chest and our faces inches apart.
"I think I love you Jake" I tell him suddenly, unsure where it came from but not regretting voicing my feelings
He emailed as he reaches forward and he cups my chin
"I think I love you too, Kate" He admits before he brings our lips together in a tender kiss.
