Chapter 64: ☽︎Creatures of the Night☾︎

Just a Feeling (Stiles x Reader)Words: 32206

(*Sigh* don't you just love the smell of a new intro gif in the morning? I love the blue tones this seasons intro had so this is one of my favorites. Let me know what you think of it ^w^)

...

A crow caws as it lands on the gates of Eichen House, thunder cracking lightly as lightning flashes in approaching storm clouds. A girl stands naked and unmoving under a running showerhead, the water hot enough to create clouds of steam as it flows over her skin, the healing scar on her side being gently cleansed by the liquid. Nurse Cross looks at her watch as she stands by the door with a towel. "All right, you've had long enough. Let's go." She orders, but the girl remains still. "I'm not buying the catatonic act. So don't think that I'm going to drop my guard." Still no answer. "I know you can hear me." She gets angrier the more the girl is silent and Cross storms over to her. "Look at me when I'm talking to you. I said look at me!" She stands next to Lydia, but she still doesn't react. "Lydia." Cross grabs Lydia by the jaw to make her face the woman, but Lydia's eyes are vacant and unblinking, staring into nothing.

Lydia had been dressed and she now walks down the halls with damp hair as she is led back to her cell in the special unit of Eichen. Schrader peeks over Lydia's shoulder to look at her face. "Is she alright?" He asks.

"She's fine. It's all part of the act." Cross claims. "She's just a dedicated performer." She hisses in Lydia's ear. They get Lydia to her cell and laid on the bed where she continues to stare blankly at the ceiling above her. Schrader sits at her bedside as he prepares a syringe needle with some medicine. "Up the dosage to three mils. She wants catatonic? Give it to her." Cross orders before she shuts the door and leaves them alone.

"Sorry about her, Lydia. She doesn't have the gentlest bedside manner. But I can be gentle." Schrader says as he feels for a vein in Lydia's arm. He looks up at her, something dark in his eyes. "I promise to be gentle." He sticks the needle into her arm, pushing it further than necessary. "Are you alright, Lydia?" He breathes. She has no reaction so he pulls it out. "Oh. Sorry about that. I... Couldn't find a vein. I'll have to... Try again." He sticks the needle in her arm again, and aspirated it, drawing blood into the syringe meaning he had succeeding in finding a vein that time. "Hmm." He lets out a quick sigh as he pulls it out. "I'll... I'll just have to... Find a bigger vein." He readjusts his grip on the syringe as he gently tilts her head to the side.

But before he could do anything Lydia sits bolt upright, a scream ripping from her throat, bursting the lightbulbs and sending Schrader flying back. She jumps off the bed and pushes open the cell door. An orderly beat her to the gate on the right so she started to head to the one of the other side, but another orderly gets there. Both of them buzz open the doors and she looks between them. The one to the left reaches her first and she deflects his attempt to grab her before she kicks him in the ribs. As he's bent over she swings her leg over his shoulder and when he stands up she brings up the other leg, locking them together and swinging her body back down, using the momentum to throw the man and letting her land in a crouch. She looks up as the other man makes a run to her, but she stands and screams, using her hands to push her voice forward sending him flying and breaking more lights. She runs through one of the open gates and quickly makes her way outside and into the rain.

Three guards surround her with taser batons, primed and ready to stun, but she won't go down without a fight. She turns to the one behind her and closest, screaming with a kick to his chest. She turns back to the other two, ducking under the first one's swing, catching the second's arm, and hitting the first with another scream enhanced punch. She twist the guard's arm as she turns to face him, hitting his elbow to disarm him and then using her hands to direct a scream to throw him back. She runs to the main steps, the ones that would lead her away from this place and back to her friends, but the person now in her path is someone she never expected to see again.

Aiden walked up the steps to her, blocking her path and making her back up a bit. "I'm sorry, Lydia. But your treatment's not done. Not yet."

The guards have recoverd and tases her in the back. She groans in pain as she falls to her knees. The other two hit her with their own tasers for good measure, making her scream as she is forced to her hands. They grab her arms and hold them behind her back as she tries to get up again. "Please, I have to tell them!" She pleads. "They're all going to die. My friends. They're all going to die."

...

Scott sits on the hood of Stiles' Jeep that was parked at Lookout Point, looking at the full moon while Stiles himself leaned his arms on the hood while looking at a map. "All right, so I found some cool two bedrooms in the Mission District, but they're pretty expensive." Stiles starts. "A couple in Haight and Ashbury. Also expensive."

"What about Berkeley? Don't a lot of students live around there?" Scott asked.

"Yeah, yeah, we could try Nob Hill. But, the Jeep would probably burn through a lot of clutches."

"You're bringing the Jeep?" Stiles looked up at Scott's surprised face.

"You know the plan, okay? No one- no one gets left behind. That's the plan."

"It's a good plan, honey." Y/n calls from her stretched out positon in the front seat of the Jeep.

"Lydia's not gonna have a problem getting into Stanford. Kira's thinking USF. Y/n has her eye on a few good art programs. Malia's, uh, gonna, you know, she'll figure something out, okay. The plan is perfect."

"Or we could wait until we actually get into college and then figure out where to live." Scott commented.

"I have a vision, dude. Okay? And it is a beautiful vision. Don't ruin the vison."

"We don't mess with the vision." Y/n added.

"Okay, we can check out the East Bay. Haven't looked at Oakland yet, you know." Scott's gaze had gone back to the silvery sphere in the sky and Stiles noticed. "You alright? You starting to feel it?"

Scott shook his head. "No. Just thinking."

"About what?"

"Senior year."

"Senior year, come on, that's- that's- that's nothing. That's going to be easy."

"It's more like something Deaton told me once. You ever hear of regression to the mean?"

"No, I don't think so."

"It's a term Alan likes to use often." Y/n said as she climbed out of the Jeep to stand next to Stiles. "It's a way of saying things will always even out. No matter how good or bad things get, they will always return to the middle."

Scott nodded at her explanation. "So, think about the last few months. Things have been good, right? But not amazing."

"Yeah, but no one's tried to kill us in six months either." Stiles pointed out.

"Right. We've been pretty much in the middle for a while. Which means, at some point, the scale has to tip one way or the other. Things are gonna get really good again..." He trailed off.

"Or really bad."

Lightning suddenly flashed in the approaching storm clouds followed by a rumble of thunder. "I bet you just jinxed us." Y/n sighed, but cracked a smile when Stiles gave her a blank look.

"Think it's been long enough?" Stiles wondered after a moment.

"Yes!" Liam called and the three teens looked to Liam who was currently chained and cuffed to a tree.

"Hey. Trying to have an adult conversation over here."

"All right, you're two years older than me. And I'm fine. Just let me go."

Scott hopped off the Jeep and the three made their way over to him, the Alpha wielding the key that would free the Beta. "It's not that we don't trust you."

"It's that I don't trust you." Stiles cut Scott off.

"But after that last full moon..."

"It was one slip up." Liam claimed.

"Slip up?" Stiles repeated. "A dozen calls to the Sheriff's Department about a 'monstrous dog boy running around the streets of Beacon Hills naked'. That's a slip up?"

"Why were you naked?" Y/n wondered.

"It was really hot out that night, okay." Liam admitted bashfully under the witch's amused smile. "Let me go."

"You sure you're okay?" Scott asked again.

"It won't happen again."

"You're in complete and total control?"

Liam nodded. "Yeah. Complete and total."

Y/n knew he wasn't being totally honest, her sensitive nose picking up the scent of blood on Liam's hands where he was digging his nails into his palms. Scott could smell it too, but nodded anyway. "Okay." The chains and cuffs were taken off and dropped into a duffle bag. The four climbed into the Jeep and Stiles makes his way back to the road, their destination the hospital where they would drop Liam off with his dad while the older teens went to a group gathering.

"Is it a party?" Liam asked from the backseat.

"It's not a party." Y/n assured from her spot besides Stiles.

"Then what's at midnight?"

"Your bedtime." Stiles quipped. Y/n lightly hits his shoulder and gives him a look to ease up a bit on the boy.

Liam gave him a look. "Why aren't the other girls going?"

"They're meeting us there." Y/n answered.

"And just stop asking questions, all right? It's a senior thing. You'll know when you're a senior." Stiles added.

Liam sat back in his seat and pouted while Scott frowned at his phone. "You guys having trouble with your phones?" He asked just before the Jeep's engine started spluttering.

"Oh. What the hell?" Stiles muttered as the headlights flickered out and the vehicle slowed to a stop.

"You out of gas?" Liam wondered.

"No, it's electrical. Probably the alternator again." The older teens get out and Stiles lifts the hood to reveal an engine that looks like it's made mostly from duct tape.

"Whoa, that's a lot of duct tape." Scott says, only to laugh when Stiles goes to retort. "Kidding. We'll fix it."

Stiles sighs. "I know, it's just the last night of summer, you know, so I wanted to make sure everyone was there tonight."

"We'll make it." Y/n rubs light circles on his back and gives him a smile, making his own lips twitch up slightly.

"You got any tools?" Scott asked.

"Yeah." Stiles reached in and grabbed his roll of duct tape.

"Well, if duct tape doesn't fix it, you're not using enough duct tape." Y/n joked with a grin. They roll their eyes at her but still smile as they get to work.

Liam sits in the Jeep still, putting an earphone in while he waits for his friends. A bolt of lightning striking down the road caught his attention. "Guys..." He called, glancing towards the front.

"Do you want me to give it a jump?" Y/n asked, her eyes glowing as she starts creating an electric current in her hands.

Liam looked back towards the road just in time to see another bolt stirke the road again but only fourty feet away this time. His eyes widen in alarm. "Guys!"

"Yeah, give us a second, please." Stiles dismisses.

"Liam, stay in the car, okay?" Scott says. Y/n had stood between the boys, purple tinted electricity sparking between her fingers and ready to be used on the Jeep, when she felt the hair on her arms stand up. She looked up, feeling the lightning coming before reaching up to catch the strike. Scott and Stiles looked at her with wide eyes as she absorbed the energy and her eyes seemed to shine a bit brighter. "That was close."

"Very close." Stiles agreed.

"It's still close." She warned. "Back up, I need to get rid of the excess energy and I don't know where it will go." They did as she asked and she reached into the Jeep, using a bit of the energy to jumpstart it. The engine rumbled to life and the lights flicked back on. She then turned and pointed her hand down the road, releasing the energy into another lightning strike that sparked against the asphalt.

Y/n sighed as her eyes dimmed back to their normal glow before shifting back to e/c. Stiles blinked at her with an awestruck expression. "That was hot."

Y/n laughed with a shake of her head as Liam leaned out of the driver side window. "Can we go now?" He asked.

Y/n smiled and nodded. "Yeah, we can go now." They shut the hood before climbing back into the car and making their way back down the road. Soon enough Stiles was honking to get Malia's attention as he pulled up near her. Y/n leaned over Stiles to smile at her sister. "Hey, Mal! Sorry we're late. Hi, Mr. Tate."

"Hello, Y/n." The man smiled at her in greeting before bidding Malia goodbye and Malia herself climbed into the Jeep.

As soon as she was settled the other four occupants turned to look at her. "What?" She asked.

"Did you find out yet?" Y/n asked with an expectant look.

"Find out what?" Liam wondered.

"They're gonna email me." Malia responded.

"Is this about summer school?"

Malia frowned at Y/n. "You told him?"

Y/n shook her head. "I didn't." She then looked to Scott and Stiles. "Did you guys tell him?"

"Uh..." Stiles tried to find his voice when Liam spoke up.

"Oh, no, all they said was you had to go to summer school 'cause the principal said your test scores weren't good enough and you might have to repeat junior year."

"So you told him everything." Y/n surmised while Malia sighed, both sisters giving the two boys hard looks.

"We should've left him chained to the tree." Stiles said before he started the car back up and drove away. When they got to the hospital Malia, Y/n and Stiles waited for Scott at the reception desk while he took Liam to his dad. After checking his phone for the hundredth time for any news on where Kira could be, Stiles looked at Y/n, who was standing beside him, and was suddenly curious about something. "Hey, when we were on the road and you caught the lightning, you said you had to get rid of the excess energy?" She nodded. "Why did you need to? Isn't more energy a good thing?"

"It's dangerous." She answered simply.

"Right..." He nodded like he understood, but squinted his eyes in confusion. "Dangerous how?"

"The human body can only take so much energy, right? Witches, with our connection to the Earth and all things nature, have a bigger capacity for energy in order to use our magic. But even we have limits. Too much accumulated energy held for too long could be fatal. Think of it like a battery. When it's fully charged, where does the extra energy go? It starts going outwards, heating up the casing and gradually degrading the life of the battery. If it goes on unchecked, it could explode causing damage and injury."

"So you explode if you take in too much energy?"

"Not literally, there's no blood, or guts, or anything like that. But our magic would eventually overwhelm us, building up the energy until it literally spills out in bursts of chaos. It's worse if we're scared or angry."

"How?"

"Our magic is connected to our emotions. That's why sometimes, if it's life or death for example, a witch could do more than she ever thought, her magic getting stronger with her determination to live or protect those she cares about. Now, add fear or anger to already overpowered magic, and things get more destructive. Thankfully though, it's extremely rare and energy can usually be expelled pretty easily."

"You're amazing, you know that?" She looked at him in surprise to find a soft smile on his face, making her return it with a bemused one of her own.

"I mean, yeah, I'm well aware. But what's with the sudden declarations of adoration?"

He shrugged a shoulder. "No reason. I just like reminding my girlfriend how great I think she is."

"Mm." She hummed with a nod, slowly leaning towards him as they gazed at each other. "And while I like hearing it," she pressed her lips lightly to his, kissing him softly in a way that made his eyes open lazily when she pulled away, "I know that's not the only reason." She smiled, but before he could deny her claim she tilted her head to gesture behind her. "I think I hear Scott on the elevator. He might have heard from Kira."

At the sudden reminder Stiles quickly straightened up and rushed off to catch Scott at the elevator. "Still can't reach Kira." Scott said as soon as he saw his friend.

"Okay, you reminded her about tonight though, right?" Stiles asked as they made their way back to the girls.

"I think so. She only texted me once this week."

"Once? How'd you guys leave things when she left for New York."

"Well, they were good. Yeah, I just said, you know, 'Don't worry about anything, just go and have fun."

"No." Stiles looked at him in disbelief. "You told her to go have fun?"

"Why? What's wrong with that?"

"Nothing. Nothing's wrong with it. It's just, I don't know. That can be interpreted a lot of different ways."

"Like what?"

"Well, like, 'Don't worry, we're not exclusive. Go have fun with other guys'."

"No. No way." Scott shook his head as they stopped near the girls.

Stiles turned to his girlfriend. "Y/n, if you were going away and I told you 'Don't worry, go have fun'. What would you think I was talking about?"

"Fun like bowling? Or sex with other guys?" Malia answered for her sister making Stiles look at Scott.

"Okay, yeah. Now I'm worried."

Y/n rolled her eyes at the pair. "Guys, you're seeming to forget one important thing. The kind of person Kira is. She's got too big of a heart to 'have fun with other guys' if she's already in a relationship with someone. You don't have anything to worry about, Scott." Her words made him feel a little better, but he was still a slightly worried.

Just then a man was wheeled by on a gurney, obviously in pain as one of the EMT's informs a nurse about him. "25-year-old male, unrestrained driver involved in..."

"Hey, Mom, where's all this coming from?" Scott asked Melissa who was following the group.

"A jackknifed tractor-trailer on 115, caused a major pile up." She answered before disappearing around the corner.

"Okay, okay, there's only one way back into Beacon Hills from the airport." Stiles pointed out making Scott sigh.

"115."

"Kira's never gonna make it."

"Scott could get her." Y/n said after a moment of thought, Scott lighting up at the idea, realizing he in fact could.

He started making his way to the exit before looking back at his friends. "You guys head to the school. Lydia's probably already there. We'll meet you by midnight."

"How are you gonna get to her in the middle of a traffic jam?" Stiles called after him.

"We'll make it. Trust me." And then he was gone.

Stiles gave Y/n a questioning look. "He's got a motorbike." She reminded.

His mouth formed an 'o' of realization. "That's right."

...

Stiles, Y/n, and Malia stood under an awning, staying sheltered from the rain as they checked their phones. "Nothing from Scott or Kira." Stiles informed.

"And nothing from Lydia." Y/n added.

"And I still don't know if I passed." Malia frowned. She let her arm fall and looked around at the the seniors mulling about, a few huddling together under umbrellas as they tried to stay as dry as possible. "I don't want to do this unless I'm actually a senior."

"Malia, it's going to be okay." Y/n assured, putting a hand on the younger girl's shoulder with a kind smile. "You're smarter than you think and you studied so hard for your tests. I have full faith that you're a senior." Malia couldn't help but let her own smile take over at Y/n's words, the confidence her sister having in her making her feel better.

Stiles hadn't been fully listening to them, his eyes also following the groups of friends who laughed and talked, all making memories that they'll hold onto after senior year is over and they move on with their lives. He heard a sniffing sound and turned to see Malia over his shoulder, frowning at the scent she was picking up off of him. "What's wrong with you? You smell terrible."

"Yeah, it's called anxiety. Should be a familiar scent for you by now, since it's pretty much a constant state for me."

"Mal, why don't you see if you can get ahold of anyone yet." Y/n called, Malia nodding and taking a few steps away from the couple, just far enough to give them some privacy. Y/n moved to stand in front of Stiles. "Hey," she gently took his hand, "what's going on? Why are you so worked up over tonight?"

"I'm not worked up." He denied with a little shrug of his shoulders.

"You are. Is tonight really so important?"

"It's not, it's uh..." He trailed off as he looked in her eyes, he could never really lie to her, especially not when she was looking at him with soft eyes. "I don't know. Maybe it is. I asked my dad the other day about his high school friends. Guess how many he still talks to? None. Not a single one. You know, these were his best friends and he just says he lost touch with them, you know? So I started thinking about things, like I always do."

"Obsessively and compulsively." She nodded.

"Yeah. And so I'm thinking, what if... What if Scott's my best friend now, you know, but he's not my best friend for life?"

"To be fair, that just happens sometimes."

"Yeah, but only because we let it happen. You know, that's what I'm saying. How come when we graduate we're just expected to go our seperate ways? If I've already found the best people in my life, why aren't I not trying to stay with them, you know?"

"Well, that's the plan isn't it? The dream?"

"The vision. And don't mock the vision."

"I love the vision." She assured as she stepped closer to him, moving her arms to circle around his waist. "Especially since I'm in it." She smiled.

"There wasn't even a question about it." His arms also went around her.

"So that's why you were so adamant that everyone was here tonight. Because you don't want to lose all your friends after senior year."

"And I hope they don't want to lose me either."

"Stiles, you and Scott are more than just best friends, you know? You're practically brothers at this point, especially with everything we've been through. You may have your rough points, some disagreements and fights, but in the end you'll always come back to each other. But for what it's worth, I never want to lose you." She looked at him with such affection it seemed to make all of his worries drift away, making him feel lighter than he had in a while.

"You'll never lose me." He promised as one of his hands trailed upwards to hold the back of her neck as he pulled her in for a kiss.

"Guys, someone's coming. Someone fast." Malia warned making Y/n turn to look at her, her ears picking up the quick footsteps heading towards them. Before they could even process who was running up to them Malia had stepped in, planting her hand on their chest and slammed them into the ground.

Liam groaned in pain. "Oh, my God." Stiles exclaimed.

"Mal, ease up." Y/n called, nudging the coyote to the side as she helped up a panting Liam. "Liam, what's wrong?"

"Scott's in trouble." He told them what he had heard at the hospital. He had been eavesdropping because Jordan had been brought in by Noah to Melissa with severe injuries, ones that healed, and the deputy told them that someone was looking for Scott. Someone with large, glowing claws that seemed to suck the life out of Jordan when he was impaled with them.

They ran to find Scott, spotting him shifted in the underpass area, and not alone. He's been brought down to his knees. A man, a werewolf, shifted, dirty and covered in a black substance, had his claws in Scott's stomach. Kira and another, unknown werewolf were tossed to the side. Liam growled, his fangs coming out as he saw his Alpha. Kira and the other werewolf got up, the kitsune holding her new katana that can be desguised as a belt. Y/n's eyes shifted, ready to step in and help, but just when it seemed like Scott was finished, he got a second wind, gripping the man's arm and glaring up at him with his Alpha red eyes. He pushed himself back to his feet and roughly bent the man's arm, breaking off the long claws, giving him a compund fracture and making him fall to his knees. Scott took the claws from his stomach and tossed them aside.

Scott looked down at the would-be killer as he cradled his arm in pain. "I don't know who you are or what you thought you were going to do, but I'll give you a choice. You can stay and I'll break something else. Or you can run."

The man looked over to the other teens. "I'd run." Stiles said.

"Fast." Y/n added, her eyes dimming as he did just that, getting off of his knees and running the other way as fast as he could.

Scott shifted back to normal as his friends gathered around him and they all turned to the other stranger left among them. He smiled as he walked closer to the group. "You don't remember me, do you?" He asked. Their silence was answer enough. "I guess I look a little different since the fourth grade."

Scott blinks before his eyes widen in recognition. "Theo?"

Theo smiled and Malia looked at Scott. "You know him?" She asked to which Theo answered.

"They used to. Trust me, I never thought I'd see you guys again. Couple of months ago, I heard of an Alpha in Beacon Hills. When I found out his named was Scott McCall, just couldn't believe it. Not just an Alpha, but a True Alpha."

Scott tilted his head slightly in acknowledgement. "What do you want?"

"I came back to Beacon Hills. Back home with my family. Because I want to be a part of your pack."

...

"We haven't seen this kid in years." Stiles started as he and Scott opened the school doors for the girls. "You don't find that highly suspicious?"

"I'm kind of more concerned about the guy who just tried to kill me." Scott admitted.

Malia's phone suddenly chimes and they all pause to look at her as she looks at the message. "I'm in." She exclaims in relief.

"I knew it!" Y/n cheered.

"I passed." Malia sounded almost surprised as Y/n pulled her in for a hug. "I'm officially a senior." She said as they seperated.

"I didn't have any doubts." Y/n beamed as Kira also gave Malia a hug.

"Thank God." Lydia called as she walked up to them. "Where have you guys been? The whole senior class is here. Are we doing this or not?" The group all smiled as they walked down the halls together, arms thrown over shoulders and around backs as they follow their classmates to the library.

A few shelves have been emptied, the books being sat on nearby tables as the students each take turns writing their initals on a blank spot with a permanent black marker. It was Stiles' turn, and as he got ready to make his mark he looked down at the shelf below, seeing the names and notes of those who came before him, one of them being D.H. He smiled before signing his initials, passing the marker to Y/n next.

Y/n took up her spot next, glancing over all of the memories that had been made here, and finding something unexpected. On the second shelf in a far corner, practically hidden within the several scrawlings and doodles, was a little heart drawn in red marker. It wouldn't have been that meaningful if it was empty, but there were two sets of initials penned in the middle. Her parents initials. She can tell that this was done by her mother, she recognized the hadnwriting and she didn't think Peter would have done such a thing, but it still brought a little smile to her face as she trailed her fingers over it. And it fueled her resolve to continue her weekly visits to Eichen House where she would talk to Peter for an hour or two, trying find something, anything, in him that M/n saw.

Y/n took the cap off of the marker and wrote her initials right next to Stiles' before she put the cap back on and handed it to Lydia, moving to stand in front of Stiles as he wrapped his arms around her waist. Lydia took a quick glance around the empty space and settled for a spot near Y/n's. Then it was Kira's turn, who had a slight concern as she took the marker. "This isn't vandalism, is it?"

Lydia thought for a moment. "Not technically."

Kira didn't feel too confident about that answer, but she also wasn't that worried anymore and she took her turn in writing her intials. She smiled as she handed the marker to Malia. She wrote an 'M' near Y/n's, but she hesitated before she wrote the second letter. She had a silent debate in her mind, who was she going to claim herself as. She glanced at Y/n's name, finding she used her mother's name, and not her fathers. Malia smiled to herself as she finally came to a decision, writing a 'T' and finishing her mark. Scott was next and he took the marker, writing his own initals next to his friends. He hesitated a moment, looking at all of the letters that made up his freinds, his pack, and deciding that something was missing and he was going to fix it. He wrote 'AA' under his initials. He handed the marker to the next student before standing with his friends, putting an arm around Kira as she put her head on his shoulder.

"She would have been with us." Stiles said.

"Yeah." Scott agreed with a nod.

"She still is." Y/n assured, letting her eyes shift for a moment to catch a glance of a smiling brunette before she went back behind the bookshelves. Y/n smiled back before letting her eyes go back to e/c and leaning more into Stiles' hold.

The group then walk down the steps of the library to spend their last night of summer together before senior year officially began the next day.

...

"No one saw him again, did they?" Aiden asked Lydia, the banshee being strapped down to the bed in her cell. He had been asking about Belasko, the werewolf with the talon-like claws who had gone after Scott.

"No." She answered. He had been killed by the people who made him, his condition was worsening and he failed at taking out the obstacles, and they do not give second chances.

"But that was the start of it, wasn't it?" He lightly touched her hair in a soothing manner. "The beginning of senior year. What happened after that, Lydia?"

She looked at the boy she had once cared for, but realized something was wrong. "Oh, you're not Aiden." He pulled his hand away and stood up. "You're not real."

"Tell me, Lydia." He asked again, and this time his voice was different, and Aiden's image flickered away to show Gabriel Valack sitting at her bedside. "Tell me what happened to them. What happened to your friends?"

"I... I don't remember." But she was starting to.

Liam growled, shifted and angry as he wrestled against Scott, the shifted Alpha having to punch him away.

"It started just after you began senior year. What happened?"

"I don't remember." She whispered.

Melissa slapped Noah before giving him a hard look.

"What happened to Kira?"

Kira looked back at Scott, rain soaking their clothes before she got into her parents car. She kept her eyes on them as they drove away, the bulb in a street lamp bursting behind him.

"Tell me about Parrish."

Soot and ash covered his skin as he stood in the middle of the woods. A fire burned around him, the same kind of fire that gave his eyes their orange glow.

"And Malia. What happened when the Desert Wolf finally found her?"

Malia was huddled between rocks, looking up fearfully at the shadow that loomed over her.

"You remember what happened to Stiles?"

The Jeep was flipped over and lying on it's hood, fire on the ground behind it. Stiles was lying on the roof, unconcious and blood splattered over his face.

"Or what happened to Y/n?"

Y/n stands in the woods, her head thrown back as a bright light seems to be forced into her body through her mouth. She falls to her knees and screams as a surge of energy explodes out of her.

"I can't remember." She says again.

Thank you all again for baring with me while I got the intro gifs all fixed up, season 4 gave me a LOT of trouble for some reason :/ my guess is it had something to do with all of the yellow/warm colors. I have no idea for sure, though. But I would definitely recommend going back and checking them out if you'd like to, especially because seasons 2 and 3a clips have been edited so everything fits together nicely and they just look better in general in my opinion 😌

As I've said before, I am very excited for season 5! I'm just as excited about this as I was 3b because I'm excited to see what you all think about what I have planned.

Do you have any theories or guesses from today's events? 👀
