Lilith, Eda and Steve are all at the Blight house, trying to conduct a plan to help out Luz. The three Blight children are also trying to help out the human they've all grown a liking to.
"Wait..." Edric says extremely surprised "So Luz the human. The same human we met on multiple occasions. Is the emperor's daughter..." He stares off into the distance.
Emira also says surprised "Are you sure? Luz. The Luz Amity has a massive crush on. Luz the human, is in line to rule the Boiling Isles..."
Amity blushed and cut in having a gay panic "WHA- I DO NOT LIK- WHA- THAT'S INSANE..." everyone looks at Amity, giving her the look, telling her that it's obvious "Ug... whatever. She's too oblivious to know anyway. Let's just continue the plan." Amity is now slouching back into the couch crossing her arms.
Lilith is about to continue planning but is interrupted by the ringing of her coven communicator. "Everyone silent. This is Kikimora. She can not know anything." Everyone stops talking and stares at the older Clawthorne sister. She takes a deep breath and answers "Hello? This is Lilith."
Kikimora appears on the little screen "Lilith. The emperor has instructed you to attend dinner at the Blight manor tonight. You will be accompanied by his daughter. The Blight parents have already been notified."
Everyone looked at Lilith in pure confusion. Eda mumbles under her breath so only the Blight children could hear "Well that was easy."
Lilith answers Kiki "Alright not a problem. Should I take the emperor's daughter personally or will she be escorted by the Blight parents?"
"That won't be necessary. The Blights have already agreed to bring Luz to their home personally, with the exception of a couple of guards." Kiki says not breaking a sweat.
Lilith looks around in hopes their plan to help Luz might go easier than they first anticipated "Ok. Thank you, Kiki. Will that be all?"
Kikimora gives a devilish smirk as she mentions "Actually there is." Everyone listens intensely "Luz was caught lying to the emperor directly about meeting with a wanted criminal, who happens to be your sister. The emperor took it upon himself to fix these defective memories, so he's decided to rewrite her mind. So if you notice a character change, do not be alarmed. Oh and also bring Steve. We should give him one last meal with her before he is demoted." The communicator cuts out and leaves the room silent.
Eda's rage grows inside her "What does she mean 'he decided to rewrite her mind!' Lilly?"
Lilith and Steve exchange looks before looking back down. Steve looks at the worried Blight kids and the enraged owl Lady "Um. So again, every year I have to make sure no unwanted memories are 'unlocked', but as I said, I refused. Belos probably went into her mind himself and saw that we released her inner self and unlocked her biological parent's memory. He probably also saw everything... else." Steve trails off into deep thought, only feeling regret.
Amity sits up and turns her attention to the two coven members sitting in front of her "What does that mean?" Now Eda, the twins, and Amity are all staring at Lilith who's also looking down at her lap.
"It means..." Lilith hesitantly looks at everyone "It means, that it won't be the Luz any of you have met. She probably won't remember anyone except for me and Steve." She motions to herself and Steve. Steve can bare the sad looks on anyone's face.
Except they're not all sad, but angry. Eda is angry that Belos thinks he can do whatever he wants when it comes to the human, and Amity is angry that Luz won't remember all the progress they've made over the couple weeks they've known each other.
Amity stands up and starts to rant "No! I refuse to believe Luz is gone! We just have to go back into her mind and fix what that emperor freak has done! Right?" She looks at Eda to back her up.
Eda nods and stands up next to the young witch "Yeah! Come on Lilly, us together, we can undo what that tyrant has infected. Or do I need to remind all of you, I'm the greatest who's ever lived!" Eda is now posing with her arms up.
Before Lilith can shoot Eda down, Steve stands up and pushes Eda's hands down "Eda, I like your optimism and confidence, but this is the emperor's personal magic. You can't fix it."
"Besides." Lilith motions for all the witches to sit down, and they do so "You're public enemy number one. Now that the emperor saw you two together, he definitely put inside her head to hate you."
Emira buds in "So that's it? We just eat dinner with Luz like we've never met her before?"
Edric puts his hand on his twins shoulder to comfort her. "Yeah? And Eda, the minute any of those guards see you, they will try and arrest you."
Lilith then perks up with an idea "IDEA!" She stands up and thinks for a moment.
Eda grows impatient "Well... what is it. Don't just stand there like a dork."
Lilith shoots Eda a scold and begins to talk "Ok so Luz doesn't remember any of you. So what if after dinner you three." She points to the Blight kids "take her and 'get to know her'. Then Steve and I will distract your parents and the guards. They will probably send a guard with you, but Ed and Em are good at, let's just say pranking, the guard so he's out of the way." The twins look at each other and nod with a devilish smirk of both of their faces. Lilith then turns to the youngest Blight "You. You will spend time with Luz alone. You will try and jog her memory. If that doesn't work, then you signal Eda, who will be situated outside hidden, and she will stage a kidnapping of the both of you. There, Eda will cast a sleep spell of Luz and take her to the Owl House. Then while the whole coven goes and looks for her, Me, Steve, and the twins will all meet up with Eda and Amity and we will go from there."
Everyone seems to be content with the plan except for Steve "Wait. Wouldn't we look for Luz at the owl house first? That's too obvious. We need a place where no one would think to look for her."
Ed and Em both at the same time yell "The Knee!" As soon as they both mention the knee, everyone nods and agrees on the plan. But now, Emira's scroll starts to ring "Everyone quiet. It's my parents." She waits for silence and answers her scroll "Hi mom. What's up?"
Odalia seems frantic over the phone "Emira darling. Listen very carefully ok? We have an incredibly special guess attending dinner tonight, so I need you Ed and Amity to get dressed in your nicest gowns and make sure the house is spotless."
Emira acts clueless so her mother doesn't seem suspicious "Oh? Will Lilith be joining us for dinner again?"
"Yes! But we also have another, higher-ranking member attending. Make sure to tell the chefs we have six additional plates tonight. Make sure to tell them code royal. I will not be embarrassed tonight. Oh and tell Amity to put on her best smile. She will be making a new best friend tonight." Odalia makes sure to say slowly so Emira doesn't miss a thing.
Emira rolls her eyes "Ok. Will that be all?"
Odalia starts to whisper as if someone was approaching her "Yes. Quickly now dear. We will be home in about an hour. Do not disappoint your father and I." Odalia immediately hangs up.
"Ok. So we have an hour to prepare. Edalyn get out. We can't risk you being here any longer." Lilith points to the door and looks at Eda.
Eda raises an eyebrow and throws her hands up sarcastically "Ouch Lilly. Would a please kill you? I have to head home and grab my elixir anyway. And I wouldn't mind a demon companion. I'll see you losers later" Eda summons Owlbert and leaves the manor.
"And then there were five," Edric says in a dramatic voice only to be punched by both his sisters
"Shut up Ed!" Emira says.
Amity follows her sister by saying "Yeah Ed. Shut up."
"Children enough. Go get changed and prepare yourselves for the plan. This has to go our way or we might never see the Luz we've all grown so close to." Lilith waves the Blights off and they all go to their separate rooms to change. Lilith calls to the Blight staff and calls a code royal. The staffs eyes open wide in disbelief and hurry to work.
Steve stands next to Lilith and holds her hands. They face each other and stare into each other's eyes "Lilith. If anything happens. I just want to let you know..." Steve looks down at his feet trying to build up the courage to tell his crush about his feelings.
Lilith smiles and puts her hands on Steve's cheek. She loved when he didn't wear his mask. "Steve." He looks up, blushing profusely "I know. I feel the same way."
The two smile like idiots at each other and lean in for the kiss. It was soft and meaningful to both of them. They wanted to savor the moment when a flash went off in the distance. Ed and Em were both laughing taking pictures, catching the two coven members completely off guard and embarrassed. Ed and Em then run off to their rooms to get ready for dinner. Steve and Lilith look back at each other and laugh.
Meanwhile, Amity is conflicted in her room. She looks at herself in the mirror, in her fancy wear, and just stares blankly. She doesn't know how to feel about everything. Did the emperor erase every trace of her in Luz's mind? Was she upset, or angry? Inner Luz said that she was the key to helping Luz, so maybe she can bring her back.
A tear rolled down the young witch's cheek. She came to the realization, that Luz won't remember The Good Witch Azura. The series they bonded over. The bet Amity wanted to lose at but won. She won't remember when Azura was defeated but bounced back stronger than ever with the help of all her friends. Luz won't even remember Willow and Gus.
Amity is now silently sobbing, refusing to believe the Luz she grew to love, is gone. A sudden knock sounds on Amity's door and she quickly wipes her tears away. "H- Hello?"
Edric and Emira both walk in giving Amity a knowing glance. "Hey, Mittens? Mom and Dad are going to be home soon." "Yeah we wanted to come check up on you. Make sure you're as perfect as ever." The twins are both trying their absolute best to cheer their younger sister up, but.
Amity wipes her tears and looks at her siblings with anger and determination "I'm fine. Now, let's go get our human back!"
Amity walks out past the twins and goes down the stairs to wait for the dinner party to arrive. Ed and Em quickly follow after her. They all reach the bottom where Lilith and Steve are awaiting them.
"They're here. Get ready." Lilith says. Situating herself next to Steve by the door.
Edric, Emira, and Amity all stand in front of Lilith and Steve and await the knock on the door.
