THIRD PERSON POV:

While Hazel read out the spell, the speaker made a screeching sound and a voice came through it.

"Because of the attack on camp last night, the management of the camp has concluded that the camp activities be suspended. All campers are required to pack up their belongings as your school buses will be ready this morning to pick you up."

After the announcement was made, Hazel concluded the spell, and her face fell instantly.

"Great, and that is the end of this," she said with a sigh, folding her arms across her chest.

Riley leaned in to kiss her cheek.

"Who says it has to end?" he questioned, and she turned to face him. "I know the thought of us scares, but I think you are attaching too much to it, Hazel," he said, and she raised a brow.

"We could text, and the midterms are fast approaching. I do not mind coming to the Frost pack, plus you have relations in the Dusk pack, you can-"

"I am forbidden to speak with my maternal relatives," she cut him short.

"Then I'll come to the Frost pack. I love you, Hazel, and I think you are a great girl. You give yourself so little credit, and you barely know who the hell you are, but I can tell you," he said, caressing the back of her hand.

At that moment, a knock came at the door.

"Come in," Riley said, and Ian opened the door.

"We need to go. I'll help you pack your stuff," Ian said, trying to avoid Hazel's eyes.

"Thanks," Riley said to him, then Ian walked away, and the triplets walked in with Bella.

"Riley!" Bella called out, walking up to him while the triplets rolled their eyes.

They still could not see the fuss about Riley. He had charming and rare green eyes, but he was not as glamorous as everyone painted him to be.

"Here comes my savior," Riley joked as they engaged in a brief hug, then a fist bump.

"You saved me first, and it was fun riding you," Bella said, causing the triplets to hit her with a "huh?" as everyone shot her a weird look.

"That came out wrong," she said, rubbing the back of her neck.

"Before you guys come for me, she means my wolf. I gave her a ride on my back while the rogue wolves chased us," Riley said, and the triplets burst into laughter. "And you guys were trying to make me look weird again," he said.

"You are learning," Ryder said, giving him a fist bump, and the others followed suit.

"Enough with the romance, we have to start packing," Hazel said, getting to her feet. "You should help Riley get to his cabin."

"Why has your foot not healed?" Bella asked, and Kai spoke.

"I heard them say he stepped on a cursed object. I think it is anti-vampire."

Soon the students were done packing their belongings, and they made their way to the general campground where their buses were waiting. As the students of Howlstone got onto the bus, Evelyn and Fred approached the group of five.

"You won't be getting into the bus," Alpha Fred said, and they all stared at him.

"Bella and Hazel had a rough time yesterday, and we think it is best if you ride in the minivan," Evelyn said, pointing at a black van which had men dressed in black all around it.

In that moment, Ryder spotted his mum from a distance, and she made her way toward them, causing Evelyn to groan. She hated Carmille until this day for ever getting together with Fred.

"Fred," Carmille called out, extending her hand for a shake, then she turned to Evelyn, who forced a smile on her face. The children noticed the gritty tension between them.

"Can I have a word with you, please?" she said to Ryder, who walked away with her. "I know I am the last person you would want to see, and I tried my best to keep my distance, but you are leaving today, so...'

"Thanks, Mum," Ryder said, throwing his arms around her.

Being with her wasn't the best option for him, but after last night and the feeling he had when he thought they lost Bella, he could not imagine losing any member of his family.

"I love you," she muttered, patting his back gently. Then she pulled away, kissing his cheek. "I wish to see you sometime, maybe during the midterms. With your friends and mate, I will host you," she said, and he nodded.

Tyler walked up to them, and Ryder gave him a fist bump.

"See you in a few weeks, man!" he said, and they hugged briefly.

It felt nice to have an elder brother, and the smile on Tyler's face was a testament to this. He could not imagine how much fun they would have when they had bonded properly.

"To the car," Evelyn said, averting her gaze as Carmille looked in their direction.

The others marched to the van, giving their luggage to the men on standby. After that, they piled into the car, waiting for Ryder to arrive.

Ryder came in shortly, and the car took off immediately. For a while, the ride was silent, which made them worried, but after a while, they loosened up.

They all got on their phones, texting randomly and using the internet.

Suddenly, Bella yawned aloud. "Is it just me, or do you all feel drowsy?" she asked, looking around to see the others tapping their mouths as they yawned.

Before they could tell, their eyes became tightly shut, and everything went black.
