Tea Party and Lorschel (19)
The not-so-dense smell had irritated the tip of his nose. It was a kind of bodily scent, which closely resembled the feeling of her being soft and amiable.
The memory of hugging Roelin all night while being intoxicated by the scent of her body came to mind. No, maybe the body had remembered it first.
Kergel felt the heat was already spinning from the bottom of his body. Roelin flinched and immediately whined as she pushed him away as if she had felt it too.
âOh, no. During such a bright dayâ¦â¦ Moreover, I donât know what everyone will say.â
âWho dares to say anything to the Emperor and Empress?â
Kergel did not intend to embrace Roelin here right now. Of course, he would really like to lay her down right away if he could just do as he pleased.
But he was just trying to hold it in because her physical strength, which had been suffering from him all night, wouldnât have allowed it at all.
But apart from that, he felt a bit mischievous when she pushed him. Kergel eventually bit Roelinâs neck with a playful look on his face.
âAah!â
Roelin shuddered in amazement and made a noise. It was hard to say that they had been on the same wavelength. It was the same as last night too, butâ¦â¦
Kergel placed his forehead on her shoulder and giggled.
âWhat am I going to do with this innocent girl?â
He muttered to himself and raised his head again. Not only her face, but even her whole body was already red in his eyes as well.
She had been a woman who didnât even know how to engage in such companionship to seduce a man.
However, at the sight of Roelin, he had already lost his reason and rushed away all night.
âBut itâs not enough. Even nowâ¦â¦.â
Kergel felt his body heat surging because he wanted to hold her. But after barely suppressing himself, he lowered his hand from Roelinâs shoulder down to the spine and stroked her.
It was just a friendly touch without any sort of sexual meanings.
Could she have felt that? Roelin was rattling and tense, but she gradually began to loosen herself. And shortly afterwards, she leaned against him and slowly relaxed.
His heart tickled. That someone, no, the woman he loved, had trusted and relied entirely upon him.
âThis is why I canât do it even if I really wanted to.â
Kergel smiled and said playfully before looking at her again.
âThank you, Roelin.â
ââ¦â¦what?â
Roelin asked while looking at him with questionable eyes. But instead of answering, he simply held her in his arms once again. Then, he replied quietly to himself.
For allowing him to exist just as an ordinary man.
He was a different person. Since he inherited the blood of the Wolves, it was natural that he had been distinguished from others right from birth itself.
In addition, he was venerated by the people from a young age because he would eventually become the Emperor of Seroif.
Lucy, who was his nanny, as well as Heinez and even Bert, who were his friends, could not escape the category too.
However, this woman in his arms was looking at himself as just a man.
It made him feel even more excited instead.
Was it because she had been the âcompanionâ?
No, that wouldnât be the whole reason. If that was the only reason, his heart wouldnât have been filled with these feelings for her right now.
âJust for this and that.â
Kergel opened his mouth while still hugging Roelin.
ââ¦â¦?â
Roelin looked puzzled as she could not really comprehend his words. Then, she belatedly realized that it was an answer to her question a while ago before smiling softly.
He eventually whispered quietly as he buried his lips on the top of her head.
âAnd⦠I love you.â
It was immediately after that did Roelinâs face, which was smiling gently, turn red.
âUhâ¦â
Roelin couldnât speak easily, but she still smiled as she turned bright red. That figure of hers was also lovely.
How could he not love her who had reacted so cutely to his unexpected confession?
âMe tooâ¦â¦ I love you too, Kergel.â
She placed her cheek on his chest and hid her face before she answered in a low voice as if a little bird was singing softly.
Kergel burst into laughter again as he hugged her tightly.
While hoping that this current happiness would eventually continue.
â¦â¦he slipped away from the fear that was crouching right in the corner of his chest.
He just wanted to keep the fact that he was a descendant of the Wolves and that he was not an ordinary human being like her as a secret from her for the rest of his lifeâif he could.

âTry some of this, too.â
Kergel said while putting the food on Roelinâs plate. She exhaled and shook her head.
âIâm so full that I canât eat anymore.â
âYouâre already full? Only after eating as much as a bird?â
Kergel crumpled his face like a person who had heard a strange sound before he looked at her and lowered his gaze while looking towards her belly.
Of course, her stomach would not be entirely visible since it was covered by the dish on the table, but Roelin became somehow embarrassed by Kergelâs gaze and pulled the table napkin that was covering her knee right up her stomach. Then, she hurriedly changed the subject.
âHurry up and eat, Kergel. You havenât even eaten properly yet because youâre just taking care of me.â
âIâm full, too.â
Kergel shrugged back at her words. Then, Roelinâs eyes turned to the dishes in front of him and shifted back to his face.
It was almost full of those nearly untouched dishes. The only thing which he touched was the ones he had recommended to Roelin and put on her plate.
