We're sitting outside, on the same wall that I was sat at before. Dee and I are pretty much waiting for the boys and our parents because they're dealing with some stuff inside.
"She's right. Although I am mad at you for smoking without me, you ain't even think to give me a call?"
I laugh a little, "My bad"
"Me and Xavier got into an argument", I then say
"About what?"
"The whole West thing and the seven minutes in heaven"
"Oh you told him you guys kissed?" She says surprised
"Well he knew about the game, he just didn't know it was West"
"Are you guys ok?"
"Yeah, I'm glad we argued. He was getting so annoyed when I had an attitude though, it was turning me on-

"I did, and since I'm not talking to him he sent me a paragraph which I ignored. Him and West can suck themselves"

Indiah then lies on my shoulder, "So what's the situation with Destiny?"
I think she's over the whole Xavier thing now, she sent me a text asking if I was ok since we didn't really get to speak about what happened, I assured her I'm fine now. By end of that conversation she had apologised to me for how everything played out in the past.
"I don't know, but if it wasn't for her I don't know what would've happened"

West's mom comes outside momentarily, she looks stressed but way less stressed than she did when she was with the chief. He's kind of mysterious, not once have I spoken to him but it's also not surprising that he managed to get away with the abuse for so long, you don't expect that shit from a police officer.
What I didn't expect was for Mrs Kennedy to approach us
"Honey, I am so sorry" She apologises
"It's ok Mrs Kennedy, it wasn't your fault"
It pained her to see the state of my wrists, "I know but I feel as if I should apologise on his behalf. I'm sure you're aware of what's going on"
I nod awkwardly and she sighs, "Anyway let's not get into it. Have a nice evening girls"

Indiah was just side eyeing her the entire time, she doesn't give a fuck at all and I know that if I wasn't here she would say something like 'Control your son'.
Anyway my mom came outside soon enough, holding Aidan's hand and also containers full of food in another. "You riding with us?" She asks me
"Can I meet you at home?"
"I'll know if you smoke some more"

"I'll make sure", Indiah says
"You mean you gon join in on the foolishness"
She holds her heart innocently, "I'd never"
"Mhm", Mom responds in a tone that clearly shows she doesn't believe her. She gets into the car with Aidan after that.
Us two are just waiting on the brothers since Zion drove here. I'm gonna ride with them and hope that I get control of the aux, I'm also hoping we stop for some food.
Aunt Latoya had them putting chairs away up until now, it was hilarious.
"Finally", Indiah complains as we get up
"You should've helped with the chairs if you wanted us to be quicker", Malik replies

I pull on the lollipop stick that's at the corner of Xavier's mouth, "Am I gonna get that back"

Malik keeps his eyes fixated on the window as he sits up, "Here's fine"
Zion slows the car down before parking in front of a couple houses, we're dropping Malik off at Zoe's house. His trial starts on Monday so he's gonna go spend some time with her tonight, I think she has the house to herself.

He spuds his brothers whilst undoing his seatbelt and Indiah purposefully gives him a kiss on the cheek, "Bye-
"Ew. Fuck off with that" He wipes his face with disgust and she laughs whilst hugging his neck

She still doesn't let go so he eventually hugs her back

We watch through the window as he heads down the street and up a couple of porch steps, he was waiting by the door for a couple of seconds before it was eventually opened by Zoe, she was in a bonnet and robe. She immediately reaches up to hug his neck with a smile and he hugs her waist before the door shuts behind them.
"We're gonna go to Target real quick", Zion lets us know as him and Indiah undo their seatbelts
"You guys are really gonna walk around dressed all fancy?", I ask
"Girl I don't care, I need the fresh air" Indiah shorts
"What do you guys want from Target", Zi asks us
"Surprise me"
"Nuttin I'm good"
"You're one hundred percent sure you want me to surprise you?"
I suddenly remembered how the last time I told him to surprise me he came back with liquorice. Zion knows I hate liquorice.
"On second thought, get me some donuts"

They both leave shortly
"You gonna uncross your legs now?", My boyfriend asks amused
When Zion was driving, Xavier was subtly touching me which affected me more than I thought it would. I was getting butterflies.

I look at him amused, "Alright mr confident. If you give in then you're coming on a shopping spree with me and you can carry all of my bags"

However because I didn't disoblige Xavier kept going, my head tilts to the side as he starts sucking on my neck softly. Now in that moment my heart started beating a little faster, I was trying my best not to react because I'm not losing this game.
I clench my legs a little more as he grips onto my thigh and kisses my neck deeply. "Don't hold it in", He murmurs

"They've been gone a couple minutes now, and Targets not a far walk so my guess is they'll be back any minute now. You wanna give in?"

Indiah and Zion came back about five minutes later without any clue as to what just happened, I was then dropped home.

We soon hear footsteps make their way up the stairs

The door then opens and our parents walk in, mom's dressed in her pyjamas as well as her bonnet and dads in sweats. She tilts her head as she stands by the door, "Trey why are the kids on our bed"

"Surprise", The three of us say
"Definitely surprised", Mama replies
"We're having a slumber party", Neveah says

"We've got face masks", I persuade

We all look at mom

We started putting face masks on mom and dad, and even poured them a drink. During this we discussed the whole West situation, mom said that his dad's definitely not getting off lightly but it may be a little bit hard to prove some of the allegations. Verbal abuse is one of the hardest things to prove I hear. Dad was still kind of mad about what West did to me and was willing to go as far as pressing charges but mom calmed him down and suggested that they recommend he tries therapy. I don't care, as long as I never see him again.
I put a sheet mask on Aidan's face so that he could feel included, he was sitting between our parents copying them as they laid back against the headboard.
"Can I name the babies?", I ask
"No", Mom replies with her eyes closed
"Why", I complain

This is ridiculous. You know your parents are old when they start debating over shit like this. But anyways I've come to a point in my life where I'm just gonna be open with them about most things, they already know I smoke and have a boyfriend and what not. I'm also growing up so these so called secrets are inevitable
I roll my eyes, "Ok mom. He's talking about how I kissed West in a game of seven minutes in heaven, before I got together with Xavier-

I raise my can of coke, "Cheers to my family who have no care for my privacy and love gossiping about me"
Aidan copies me and lifts up his carton of apple juice with both hands, "Cheersssss"
Then mom and my sisters cheers, "We'll cheers to that"
"Dad, I'll be ok" I tell him
He frowns before shaking his head and mom rolls her eyes, "He's gonna sulk for the rest of the night"

"Wait a minute, dad wasn't you doing crazy things when you were sixteen?" Neveah asks
"Right?", Mom agrees
"Oh be quiet", He waves them both off and we all laugh
