I shake my head
"Really? Alright what about Mcdonald's"
I shake my head again

I don't reply and my dad frowns, "Keilyn? What's wrong"
We're in the living room, sat on the couch. It was just him when I got home so we were gonna start our movie marathon.
"Nothing-
"You're crying", He says softly
When I don't reply he sits closer, "Princess. What happened?-
"It's fine", I try to play it off but I'm now actually crying. I just can't help it, if I'm pissed then tears always end up coming out.
It's embarrassing actually
"No it's not fine. What's wrong?-

He sighs as he hugs me, I don't return it but I also don't push him away.
"Is this about you and Indiah", My dad says knowingly
"No"
"It is isn't it"
I didn't think it would get to the point where I'd start crying but I'm annoyed and I'm sad because she would rather have her birthday cancelled than have to talk to me. And I bet her dad doesn't even know that she's planning on having a house party.
"What's going on?", Mom asks whilst entering the house with my siblings
When she sees me it's like she knows already what I'm upset about, "Ok this is getting out of hand"
"D come on-
"Treyton she's literally crying-
"Seriously, I'm ok" I get rid of any evidence of my tears
I don't like all this attention
"Baby what's going on?", She asks me softly
"What did Indiah do-
"Nothing, it's fine. Please let's leave it alone"
They all watch after me as I go upstairs.
To be honest it's not even the things we said to each other that have hurt me but it's what just happened in the car, I mean would it have been that bad for her to have just humbled herself and talked to me?
Xavier called me but I didn't really wanna talk, I'm not mad at him but right now I just wanna online shop with my music playing if I'm being honest.

Zayâ¤ï¸: I'm sorry about Dee, I rly thought I could've gotten you guys to talk in the car. She's just being stubborn but you know that she definitely loves you, I can tell she feels bad and wants to make things right
Me: clearly she does not.
Zayâ¤ï¸: She does, and she'll realise soon enough how she fucked up. I know u like to keep quiet and shut everyone out when you're mad but I need to check on you mama. I'll leave you alone for a bit but I'm gonna call again before u go to bed, even if u just wanna stay quiet on the phone we can do that
Me: Ok
Call me blunt but it's nothing personal, when he calls again later I'll pick up. Hopefully by then I won't be so mad anymore.
I felt something weird from under my bed which caused me to frown and lean over to the edge, it was kind of like a kicking feeling. My head tilts as I check what was causing the kicking, "You're so silly. What are you doing?" I say amused
My brother giggles, "Hi"
"Come here"
He crawls out from underneath and I pick him up to sit on my lap, "How long you been under there?"
"Longggg time"
"You're very sneaky I'll give you that"
"Sissy sad?"
"No I'm not sad"
He gives me a kiss on the cheek and I can't help but smile, "Love you"
"I love you too Aidan"
He stays cuddling me which I don't mind at all, my brother gives the best hugs.
"Aidan!", Mom calls out from the hallway
"I'm in here mommy!"
She holds her heart whilst opening the door, "Aidy don't scare me like that. I've been calling you for ages"
"I was hiding"
"Clearly, come it's dinner time"
He shakes his head pleadingly, "Stay with sissy"
"You wanna stay and give her hugs?"
"Uhuh. She's sad"
Is my three year old brother seeing right through me???
Ma sighs as she looks at me, "You wanna talk about it?"
I shrug and she shuts the door behind her, "You know it's ok to cry right"
"Not over stupid things"
She comes to sit on the bed with me, "Listen. Crying over friendships is just as equal to crying over relationships, you and Indiah have been friends since you were literal babies so I'd be a little bit concerned if you weren't upset right now. You know what I wouldn't even say friends, you guys are sisters"
"She would rather have her party cancelled than have to talk to me", I eventually reply
Mom frowns, "What'd you mean"
"Uncle Darnel cancelled the bnb party and said it'd stay like that until she made things right with me, he said that on Tuesday and now it's Friday. She never mentioned this to me at all, I had to find out from Xavier"
Her face softens
"This whole thing is ridiculous, I'm not gonna argue with her over a birthday party we're not five years old. If she doesn't want me there then that's fine, he can un cancel it"
"Why is she so upset with you?"
"Because she was giving me an attitude, and I sort of implied that that's why Archie and her didn't work out"
"They were together?", She says surprised
"Yes but he cheated and I said something about that as well"
"Ree come on"
"She got her pay back when she brought up West putting his hands on me" I defend
"Why are ya'll so brutal? That comments not funny at all, the boy has issues"
I sit Aidan back down on my lap, "Yeah well anyway that's where it started"
"What would you like to do"
"With?"
"About the situation"
"I don't care about the party anymore, I'm gonna go get my hair done and call it a day"
I booked an appointment for the afternoon and that's the only thing I look forward to that day
"Are you sure?"
"I'm sure"
"Dad and I are gonna go out in the evening. Do you want us to stay?"
"No it's fine, I know you guys have been planning date night for ages"
"Yeah you're right, hes even dropping Aidan off at GG's cause he thinks if I see his face I'll wanna stay home. Which is true actually, how can you resist this cute face?", She squashes his cheeks softly and he smiles cutely
"You really want more boys huh", I say amused
"Yeah you guys are too much like me. I don't like it" She says deep in thought
I laugh, "Not that much"
"I mean ya'll got my looks that parts fine. But you also got my attitude, I need two more boys with the same ego as your dad so that he can see what he used to behave like"
"True. I don't want Aidan to grow up though, you gonna be my baby forever?"
"Uhuh", He replies
"I can't wait for you to grow up and have boy problems that only your dad can solve", Mom coos whilst lifting him up
"Yeah you might be right cause dad knows all the girl secrets, I don't like it" I agree
She snorts in agreement, "Tell me about it. I could send him to the store and he'd come back with my correct foundation shade, concealer shade, and you know what he knows which hair packs to buy too"
"Does he know your clothing size?", I frown

Mom laughs as she gets up, "Stop being dramatic it's a piece of clothing. Come down, dinners ready"

So today was the day, Indiah's birthday slash party to be specific. People were confused that it was no longer at the air bnb but her house is big anyway so it wasn't that much of a problem. I got a couple texts from Blair, the girls from cheer and the skating team, by now they'd all pretty much figured out that Indiah and I weren't on speaking terms. Even Destiny reached out and texted me which was sweet, I told them all that I was fine and to have fun.
"Ok wait, I don't want the chocolate to spill everywhere"
I roll my skewer of marshmallows through the chocolate fountain before taking a bite with pleasure, "Mmm. That's good"
We've had this chocolate fountain machine for a couple months now so we decided to bring it out.
"I know right", Neveah agrees
"Are you really not going to the party?", Trinity asks me with disbelief
"Nope. I am going to sit here and enjoy some desserts, do a couple chores and then call it a day"
"But this isn't right" She frowns
"Welll Dee was kinda a bitch", Neveah comments as she sucks chocolate off of her thumb
I tut at her, "Language"
"I know but them arguing is like us two arguing, even if you called me childish or whatever I'd not miss your party-

I roll my eyes playfully, "Guys I get it. But this is just how it is"
"I just hope Indiah calls you and changes her mind"

"Well I don't know about you guys but I'm gonna go and raid mom's jewellery box" Neveah decides before getting up and skipping upstairs
"I'm gonna go to the movie room, you coming?"
"In a bit, let me clean up first" I reply

"Pick something good", I call out as she heads down the hallway
I was about to get started with putting shit away when I heard a knock on the front door. I'm assuming it's my mom here to tell me that she forgot her phone or something because she always forgets it, but mom wouldn't even knock.
Then again I wasn't actually surprised to see that it was Xavier
"Aw look who came to see me"
He grins as I reach up to give him a hug, "You ok?"
"Mhm", I kiss him softly and he holds my waist whilst deepening it
"I missed you", Xavier murmurs
"I know. I'm missable"
"I know you sent me a picture of your hair but it's even sexier in real life"
"Thanks baby"
"Why didn't you let me pay for it", He asks unimpressed
"You know I don't like asking you for money. My dad paid", I say amused
I don't know, I feel like as the years go by I'll eventually let Xavier spoil me more and more but his presence is honestly enough for me. However his main love languages are acts of service and gifts so it explains why he likes to receive and express his love through those things.
"You're such a daddy's girl", He says as I lead him into the house
"Yeah well once upon a time you were a mommy's boy" I remind him
I roll up my sleeves once we get to the kitchen
"What've you been doing"
"I was about to clean but now that you're here you're gonna distract me" I feed him a marshmallow and he drags it off the skewer with his teeth
"You're right, I will"
He's already feeling me up as we speak, and for reference I'm in some yoga shorts paired with one of his hoodies.
"I can never just wear shorts around you"

And then suddenly I'm bent over, "What was that?"
I should not have found this moment sexy, but I did
"You heard what I said", I challenge
"Remember what happened the last time you gave me an attitude?"
I purse my lips and he squeezes my hips
"Yes I do", I eventually reply

"Thank you", I say for about the hundredth time
Not gonna lie the house was full, there was music blasting from speakers, LED lights were on and basically everything you'd expect for a house party. I'm wondering how I'll get everyone out before mama gets back, I had a nice birthday morning with my brothers and parents but then I said that I was going out with Blair and they all went out to do their own thing. My brothers looked at me with disapproval because they knew what I was actually planning.
But anyway that's the least of my worries at the moment, I pass a couple of people before heading over to the kitchen where B and Destiny are currently, they're pouring drinks but not speaking.
"Ayy there's the birthday girl", D smiles
"Hi", I eventually reply
"Having fun?"
"Yes"
Blair had this look on her face but I just ignored it and poured myself a drink. I had invited Destiny because we spoke about a week before this, I could tell she felt bad for how she acted in the past and honestly I doubt we'll ever go back to how close we were before but we're civil.
"How'd you convince your mom to let you throw the party?"
"I didn't", I reply honestly
"What?", They both reply
I shrug, "Just hoping that she finishes work late"
It's hitting nine o'clock, the party's been going on since about seven?
"And what about your dad?", Blair frowns
"I'm not too worried about him"
"One sec my moms calling me" Destiny says before heading outside
I lean against the counter once she's gone, "Ok whatever you're thinking, just don't say it"
Blair sips from her cup, "Didn't say anything"
"Do you not want her here?-
"I don't give a damn that you invited her, we're civil. It's who you uninvited that I give a damn about-
"Look I get it-
She scoffs, "Do you?"
"Obviously I do-
"No Indiah you don't realise how fucked up this is, and since nobody else wants to be the one to tell you I will-
"Can we talk about this later-
"Indi", Raven interrupts excitedly
B simply rolls her eyes as she sips from her cup, I look at her for a moment before answering, "Yeah?"
Whilst turning around I see the cheer team making their way over with a three tier cake that was cheerleader themed. There were two golden lit candles with the numbers one and six placed on the top. People were starting to gather the kitchen, getting ready to sing happy birthday.
"We just wanted to wish our cheer captain a ha-
"The candles", I interrupt
Keisha frowns, "Huh?"
I chew my bottom lip as I analyse the cake, everyone's looking at me confused.
"These aren't the right candles"
"Since when was there such thing as the right candle?-
"There just is"
Oh fuck
"Dee", London frowns
"Ok she's fine, everyone just give her a minute" Blair starts to shoo everyone away as I sit there staring at the candles
It just isn't right, I can't blow them out
Everyone talks amongst themselves whilst walking away with confusion and I just sit there feeling I don't know, empty. Blair rests a hand on her hip as she looks at me with a raised eyebrow, "What's not right Indiah. The candles or the fact that your best friend isn't here"
"Shit. What have I done", I whisper as tears fill my eyes

"Don't mind if I do" Neveah takes the tub of ice cream from me as she passes by and Xavier laughs whereas I just roll my eyes
"I always gotta make sure that there's no room for grumpiness"
I stroke the side of my stomach, "I kind of miss my stitches"
Now there's a scar forming
"I'm happy you're healing"
I lift his shirt slightly, "Me too. We both have a scar in the same spot"
Xavier smiles a little, "Now you're definitely not going anywhere"
"You already know you have me", I murmur as we start to make out
I was underneath him so I wrapped my arms around his neck to pull him closer, so that the kiss could deepen. He sucks on my tongue and I moan in content whilst moving my lips in sync with his.
I love a good make out session
I felt him harden against me which only caused me to smile against his lips, "Too easy"
"Shut up"
We suddenly hear a knock on the door, "Ignore it" I murmur
"You ain't gotta tell me twice", His hand slides past my shirt and I run my hands through his hair
But then the knock happens once again
We pull away with swollen lips, "You sure you ain't expecting someone?"
"Yeah...", I frown a little
"Want me to get it?"
I readjust my shirt as I sit up, "Hold on it might be GG dropping Aidan off"
"Ight"
I went over to the door expecting to hear my little brother's voice from outside, however I was very confounded by who was actually there.
"Indiah", I say surprised
"Hi", She replies softly
