I have to say I was quite surprised to see her standing at the door, I really had lost all hope in her.
"Soo why aren't you at your party", I fill the silence
Indiah sighs, "I've been a bitch"

Wondering what made her come to this realisation
"I know I shouldn't have said all that shit to you, it was petty and childish and I didn't realise how much it hurt you until now.... I couldn't even blow out the candles on my own birthday cake because you're supposed to be there, shit you've always been there for the past sixteen years. I can't celebrate my birthday without you Ree" She apologies
I couldn't help but smile a little, "You really couldn't blow out your candles?"
"Bitch no, I started crying"
"You're such a cry baby"

My face softens as she hugs me, "I'm sorry about what I said too", I murmur
"It's ok", She whispers with relief
All I can say is thank God

No literally, it came from above us. My sisters are both looking out of Neveah's window, I'm assuming they watched the whole thing. Indiah blows them a kiss before turning back to me, "Alright come on get changed"

"Yeah we still got time left, B's watching the house whilst I'm gone"
"Ok let's go to my room, I have a couple outfits in mind"
My boyfriend smiles a little as we head upstairs

Once I had changed into something nicer I sent mom a quick text to say where I was going, she was really surprised but relieved.

Xavier said he was gonna go meet with his friends because he didn't really wanna be in the house whilst the party was going on which is understandable. Meanwhile Indiah and I headed back over to the house and during the car ride we were having a big catch up.
"I see your mom finally let you pierce your nose"
Dee looks away from the road for a sec, "Yeah it took a lot for me to convince her but I got there in the end"
Aunt Latoya's never really been a fan of face or body piercings, only ears. My mom isn't really too bothered about piercings, she just straight up told me that I wasn't allowed to have my tongue pierced (of any sort). However she did make me take out my back dermals since I got them without her permission.
"Well I'm still wondering on whether I should give you your gift or not"
"Aw you still bought it?", She asks softly
"Course I did, weeks ago"

When we pulled up to her driveway there were people in front of the house as well as by the door, to be honest I'm surprised the place hasn't been trashed.
I frown, "How can you trust that no one's upstairs?"
"All the rooms are locked"
"On both floors?", I say surprised
"Yup"
"And where's King?"
"Aunt Nene's watching him", She replied as we got out of the car
"Ree you're here!", Blair rushes over excitedly before pulling me in for a warm crushing hug
"Hey", I reply amused
"She's wasted", CJ lets us know
She waves him off, "I'm not. But guess what you were right because now my daddy's staying in the country....*she hiccups*... and he wants to meet CJ and his parents and he apologised to me and all I had to do was tell him how I felt so lonely and angry"
"Yeah?"
"Yeah", B replies happily
She's so cute
"I'm so happy for you sweetie"
"Thanks, and you two are friends again yay" Her arms go around us both as we head towards the house
"Are you guys gonna stay with her?", CJ asks
"Yup"
He gives her a kiss on the head, "I'm gonna go hang with the guys for a bit ok?"
She nods with a smile, "I love you"

She watches after him with the look that says I'm so in love, honestly Blair and CJ are just couple goals. And I think it's so cute how they teach each other their languages, her teaching French and him teaching her Spanish.
"What do you say we go and relight the candles on your cake"
Indiah smiles, "Let's do it"

I eat a spoonful of nutella, "What's the time"
"Hitting one thirty", She replies
After partying and playing games and eating cake everyone was out by twelve, a lot of people were drunk but I made a promise to my mom that I wasn't gonna drink tonight.
Anyway we immediately started cleaning the place up, we had music playing so it wasn't even that bad and it was kind of fun. Then we showered and since I didn't bring an overnight bag I had my pick out of Xavier's wardrobe. An oversized hoodie with his joggers to match, I thank God he's tall because they have a slightly baggy fit on me
"You know the only reason my mom buys Nutella is because of you", Indiah says whilst watching me eat from it pathetically
I smile cheekily with the spoon in my mouth, "I know"
When we were kids we used to sneak into the pantry, Indiah would eat spoonfuls of the biscoff spread and I'd eat the nutella. Uncle Darnel used to laugh at us but as you can tell our moms weren't pleased cause we used to do it every time.
Indiah sits on the island whilst admiring her gift. "This is so adorable"
"I wanted to get you that straightener you wanted too but I-
"No, Ree. This is even better trust me" She says softly
I eat another spoonful, "How's it going with Malik's trial?"
"They're not telling us anything so I don't know, I just gotta hope for the best"
"If he ends up in prison then it's definitely because of our game of who's most likely to"
She laughs, "Oh my gosh you remember that?"
"One hundred percent"
We played whos most likely to with the boys one time and the question was 'who's most likely to end up in prison' to which we all answered Malik. He even said himself too.
"Can you do me a favour", Indiah then suddenly blurts out
I frown with amusement, "That was suspiciously sudden but yeah sure"
"Um, so I've been talking to Kaian recently"
"Oh really?", I say surprised
"Yeah and we're just friends, things are cool. There's also Archie who keeps tryna talk to me and it's emotionally draining but anyway not the point. I just, I don't wanna rush things with Kaian but I can sense that my feelings are coming back..."
Realising that the conversations getting serious, I put the Nutella down, "How does he make you feel?"
"He makes me laugh, and he always checks on me you know? It doesn't feel like big brother little sister, kinda makes me happy"
"Know who you sound like?"
"Oh my God I'm you", She realises
I smile, "Indeed you are"
Indiah tilts her head, "Was I really that blind when it came to you and Zay?"
"I mean thinking about it now....yeah. We've always been touchy feely, sometimes we'd unintentionally flirt in front of you guys but I think Malik was the only one who picked it up"
"So yes I was blind"
I can't help but laugh, "Yes you were. So anyway what do you need me to do?"
"Oh right. I just-... can you find out how Kai feels about me or if he's seeing someone? I don't wanna feel like I'm wasting my time"
"You want me to ask Xavier?"
"Yeah"
"Dee I don't wanna get in between you guys", I say hesitantly
"Yeah I know..."
I also understand how it feels, wanting to know how someone feels about you. It's kinda scary.
"But I got you, I'll ask him"
"Thanks"
We hear a couple of voices coming from the front of the house, at first I thought it was her parents but then I recognised one of the voices as someone else. "Ok it actually doesn't look like a party was thrown"

I saw her first, she was with Zola, and then behind them was Xavier and Kaian. I didn't actually expect Kai to be here.
"Indiah and Kai, sitting in the tree-
My best friend nudges me before the others hear and I snicker.
"Hey birthday girl", Jamila smiles
She side eyes me (basically saying behave) before hugging her, "Oh my God hi"
Her girlfriend Zola seemed quite shy at first, but I can tell it won't last long.
"Hey girl"
"Hey", I give Jamila a hug afterwards and she holds on for a bit
"Never got to see you since what happened", She murmurs
My face softens, "I'm ok now"
She sighs, "Yeah I know"
I then said hi to Zola, Kaian and I greeted each other in our own way.
He leans on the island with folded arms before name calling me "Xavier stealer"
"Aw and look who it is, our son", I tease
Zay holds my waist whilst giving my face a kiss and Kai looks at him unimpressed. "So you ain't gonna defend me?....he notices him laugh...Oh you liked that one?"
"Yes I did"
"Not gonna tell her how you bought me Mcdonald's today?"
Jamila looks at him pathetically, "Kaian be for real"
"Right"
I took note of how Indiah and Kaian were being towards each other, I was tryna see what the vibes were. Dee was shy in a way, but not like properly shy it was kinda like the shyness that girls show when they like someone. But nonetheless they were talking, and he was just watching her (as she explained how the party went) with this look.
All I'm saying is, he finds my best friend beautiful
"Are you guys staying over?", Indiah asks
"Nah we're gonna chill for a bit then I'm going back to J's" Zola replies
"In other words, I'm not rolling", Jamila let's her friends know
"I'll do it", Xavier replies
"Ya'll coming?", They ask us
"Nah we're going upstairs", I answer
Jamila blows us a kiss before heading to the backyard, "Zay take your time"
"Yeah give me a sec", He replies
I kiss him, "It's alright go on. I'll see you in the morning"
He tugs on the bottom of his hoodie which I'm wearing, "I like you in my clothes"
"So do I"
We kiss once more before saying goodnight and he heads outside with the others, whereas me and Indiah go upstairs.
And can I just say that I had the best sleep ever

We woke up at around eleven
I frown as I look around, "I feel like you going clothes shopping is a waste of time cause all I'm seeing in this room is my clothes"
She literally wears my clothes for a living
Indiah laughs, "I could say the same for you taking my earrings all the time"

"Ok you got me there. Anyway I'm gonna go see if my man's awake before we get breakfast"
"Yuck", She says whilst turning on her straighteners
"Oh so you don't want me to ask about Kaian?", I say amused
Indiah suddenly turns back and starts shooing me, "Ok go go go"
"Thought so"
Xavier's room was two doors down from Indiah's, I'm hoping he went back to sleep so that I can sneak up on him. I know he got up at around seven and went to the gym, then I'm pretty sure he got back like an hour later, showered and then went back to sleep.
Anyway as I predicted, Zay was sleeping. And he's shirtless too, my morning just keeps on getting better and better. I get into the comforter before shifting closer and just facing him, I was trying so hard not to laugh and kept having to purse my lips. He sleeps so peacefully..... I wonder what he's dreaming about.
I poke my tongue out of my mouth and it touches his nose, it didn't take long for his eyes to open after that.
"Hi handsome"
"Hey", He murmurs
Even if he wakes up early he's not usually a morning person, he needs about a full hour before he socialises.
I hold Xavier's face before giving him a small kiss and his hand slides up the back of my shirt before stroking it softly.
"How was gym?"
"Not bad, did a quick sesh today"

He hums a yes
"I can tell", I stroke his 6 pack as I say this and he pokes me
"Still waiting on you to come with me though"
"Keep waiting"
"What's it gonna take. I bet if Dee asked you you'd say yes" He had an unimpressed tone which was quite funny to me
"Ok and if I asked you to come to a party with me it'd be no unless Kai was going too" I defend
"Don't change the subject"
"It'd take a lot of convincing, I'm quite happy with my health the way it is. Plus I'm pretty active already"
Zay taps my ass, "Mmm. Don't I know it"

I then hold up his wrist, looking at all the bracelets that he's wearing. It makes me happy to see that they were all given to him by me, except the Trinidad one, he got that from Indiah. But anyway he has on one of my hair ties and also my pink bracelet.
I knew that I was his screensaver too, I just didn't notice which picture it was until now.
I gape, "Xavier that picture. On the lock screen"
He shrugs "Yeah why not, you're my girl"
It was a picture of him lying in between my naked thighs, his hair was out and I was stroking his chin but you couldn't see my face.
"Imagine your parents see that"
"Nah they won't, besides it's not revealing"
I didn't really care too much, if I did he'd have changed it. As I laid beside him I was trying to think of how I could ask my questions about Kai without letting him know it's to do with Indiah, she said she didn't care if he found out but still I'd rather play it safe.
"What did you do"
I frown, "Huh?"
He looks away from his phone, leaving our faces inches away from each other. "You're doing that silent thing. What've you done"
"I didn't do anything, I'm just thinking" I reply innocently
"What are you thinking about"
"Who's Kai seeing?", I ask casually
His brows furrow as he thinks, "I'll be real I think he's just fucking. Or at least he was"
"So he's not fucking around anymore"
"Nah. Actually maybe, I don't ask about his sex life"
I lean on my hand, "So what's his type, he into black girls?"
"And Asian girls-....hold on why are you asking about Kaian's love life?", My boyfriend asks suspiciously

"Ok you can't get mad because that would be hypocritical but Kaiain and Indiah have been getting along again. They have history-

"It wasn't too deep but they've liked each other before, he wasn't serious though so she ended it"
I couldn't really tell if he was mad, he wasn't giving much away. "So she has a crush on him"
"I'm pretty sure it's double sided"

"Don't put the image of those two in my head please"
"So are you ok if they date?"
"Why are we just jumping right ahead, that's a stretch-

I raise an eyebrow at him and he eventually sighs before muttering, "I'll talk to him"
"Good because Dee deserves to be happy, Kai's annoying as hell but I suppose he does too"
"She doesn't even need a boyfriend, she's still young" He fusses
"Nobody ever needs a boyfriend but if you like someone then you like someone"
"Now that I think about it they do talk a lot"
I just think it's hilarious that these two have gone after each others best friends.
"Aww you don't wanna share your best friend", I say amused
"Chill"
"Go on admit it"
"You're loving this too much"
I smile whilst nodding, "I really am. But you know what else that means? We get to double date"
Xavier side eyes me and I laugh, "You're too grumpy"
"I mean you hid this for how long"
I stroke his face, "I had to"
"Still could've given me a heads up, I don't need to hear him describing my sister to me"
"Oh really? What was he saying last night"
"He was saying that he was talking to this girl and blah blah blah, didn't know if she could trust him after what just happened to her. Jamila was asking what she looked like and he was saying she was pretty and funny"
He's cringing whilst telling me this
"Go on", I gesture with amusement
"He was blabbing on about her personality and then said some shit bout her body"
"This is torturing you to say isn't it"
"Yes it is"
"Just let them figure it out for themselves", I say softly as I stroke his neck
Zay looks at me slightly, "So what did she send you in here to seduce me?"
"Is it working?"
"Kiss me and I'll think about it"
I plant a soft kiss against his lips and we slowly start to make out, eventually my tongue pushes its way into his mouth and he sits me on top of him before kissing me more. We don't exactly have an empty house so kissing will have to do for now, we kiss a little loudly though.
Xavier's hand circles over my ass and I tuck a hair behind my ear before tugging on his bottom lip with my teeth, he grunts.
"Shit"
"What?"
Although he didn't even have to tell me what happened because I could already feel something hard against me, I was sitting directly on top of him.
"Seriously", I say amused
"When you kiss me like that of course I'm gonna get hard"
"Just out of my curiosity, what were you dreaming about before?"
He looks at my lips and then back at my eyes, "I think you could guess"
"Where were we?"
"On our way to the Bahamas"
"Plane sex?"
Now I'm intrigued
"Yeah it was sweet not gonna lie"

We hear a knock on the door before it's opened by aunt Latoya, I get off of him quickly. "Hey guys"
"Morning", I reply
Xavier turns to face the door, "Ma I didn't even say come in"
"You already broke the no girls in your bed rule, but I'm letting you slide. Anyway I made breakfast, come down"
