Chapter 49: Truth

The stinging sensation of being slapped woke me up, my cheek flared up in pain. I let out a groan, my body aching all over.
The first thing that registered to me, was the sharp knife that was pointed to me. What made me recoil though is the fact that it was dripping with blood.
Fresh blood.
I looked up, feeling my heart drop and breathing stop for a second.
"Surprise." Todd grinned devilishly, pointing the knife to my face.
I felt the betrayal slapped me like reality."How dare you?" I weakly said, glaring at him.
"How dare I?" He gasped dramatically."Did you seriously think that I would betray my flesh in blood over someone like you?" He continued, looking at me as if I were a gum stuck in his shoe.
I felt tears well up at the pain that wrapped on my heart."What did I ever do to you?" I whispered, my voice pained.
First Annie and then it was Valentino, and now its Todd? What the hell us up with these people?
He ignored my question, wiping the bloody knife on my bruised face."Do you know who's blood is this?" He hummed happily.
I grimaced, the smell of blood entering my senses."Who?" I stammered, a bad feeling growing on my stomach.
Todd smirked, stepping aside and showing me the scene that I absolutely never wish to see.
Chase was lying on the ground, blood pooling out of his slit throat as his head was turned to me with his dead, dull eyes staring straight into my eyes.
A scream so loud rang into through room, it came from me. I tried to stand up but my body was too weak to move.
Todd let out a cackle that made the hairs on my neck stand up. He stood over me and stabbed me in my stomach.
I woke up with a gasp, my face meeting nothing but plain blank walls. It was only then did I realize that everything was a dream when my eyes settled on Todd and Chase's unconscious figures.
I leaned back on the cold floor, my heart beating erratically. It was just a bad dream, I thought, wiping my clammy hands on my jeans.
My body felt like it got ran over and it was probably from the force of running into the pole. All I remembered was blacking out and the feeling of someone carrying me.
My hands were completely chained and even my feet were, all of us were tied up and another rope to secure it.
There wasn't any chance of escape except for the door. There wasn't any window but the light was on.
A pained groan made my head snap in Todd's direction, it seemed he was gaining consciousness.
There was slight blood from the side of his head and it was probably from earlier, he looked disoriented and had to blink his eyes a few times.
Our eyes met and he paused, letting out a curse when the flashbacks of what happened came back to him. Chase woke up, a soft grunt leaving his mouth. He sat up, staring at his tied hands before realizing we were kidnapped.
"Are you okay blue?" Todd asked, looking over me to check my injuries
"I'm fine, just a little scratch." I said, referring to my arm that was slightly bleeding.
Todd heaved a sigh, shaking his head."I'm sorry, if only I noticed earlier on that we were being followed then this wouldn't have happened." He apologized.
The dream from earlier came rushing into my mind and I felt myself fidget slightly in discomfort.
It was only a dream Ellie, Jessica assured but the fear of being betrayed again was overwhelming me.
"I-It's okay tadpole, it wasn't your doing." I answered but the words felt heavy on mouth.
Chase nodded."Red's right, unless you had something to do with this Todd." Chase didn't hide the suspicion in his voice.
Todd immediately shook his head."I would never ever betray you guys. You know how much I love you blue," Todd honestly murmured, meeting my eyes.
Jessica stomped on my fear repeatedly and nodded to herself."I trust you Todd," I said, my voice sounding firm.
This is Todd Martins we're talking about, he's the guy who helped me gained confidence. Brought me to my first every party and fulfilled his promise everyday in bringing me skittles.
I have to trust him.
"You better be saying the truth Todd because I wouldn't hesitate in chopping each of your limb and beat the shit our of you if you betrayed us." Chase threatened, his voice calm as if he was just talking about the weather.
Todd didn't even flinch and rolled his eyes."Yeah and that very reason is why I'm not gonna risk my limbs for them. I'm not into those revenge stuff." He snorted, making me crack a smile.
I think it was the other way around Chase, Jessica said. I ignored my thought and sighed tiredly.
"How the fuck are we supposed to get out over here with this chains and ropes?" Chase grumbled, glancing around the empty room.
"I don't even understand why they'd tie us up, there literally nothing to defend ourselves here." Todd agreed.
A sheepish smile bloomed on my lips, earning questioning gazes."I think that's because of me."
"Remember when I was kidnap? Well, they brought me to a room like this and didn't have any chains on. Rody brought me some food with a tray and I kinda used that to escape, whacked his head and stuff." I explained, their amusement evident.
Chase let out a chuckle, my cheeks growing redder. Todd dragged himself towards me and gave me a fist bump, a proud smile on his lips.
"I shouldn't be surprised red, you're indeed one of a kind." Chase chuckled out, making me grin.
"A girl's gotta do what she gotta do," I shrugged.
That's a fact, I'm honestly proud to be a one of the females despite the curse of mother nature. Creativity is something we all have in common and sticky situations is something we can handle.
"And that is another reason why I'm not gonna cross on your bad side blue." Todd teased, humor brimming in his gray eyes.
The door opening cut our conversation short, our smiles dropped when familiar faces entered the room and I couldn't help but move closer to Todd.
Valentino regarded us with a cold look, an giddy Annie who had a wide smile on her red lips.
I wanna fucking snatch her hair.
"My, what a surprise," Annie mused out, glancing at the other two that was with me."Hi Chase, you looked dangerously handsome as usual." She giggled, earning a clenched jaw from V.
"My favorite twin," She glanced at Todd who was glaring at her.
"I'm your only twin, dumb ass." Todd remarked, the wide smile not wavering from Annie's lips.
When her gaze turned to me, her grey eyes grew steel and a sinister look graced her features."And of course, the bitch who stole the love of my life from me." She sneered,
I didn't let the fear overule my body, my eyes met her gaze head on and tipped my chin at her. I won't ever let anyone think that they could treat me like shit.
"Alec was never yours from the start Annie." Todd sneered, pushing himself forward slightly to hide my figure from them.
She narrowed her eyes at her brother, walking towards us with her heels clicking against the tile. Annie harshly pushed Todd away from me, his head almost smacking on the floor.
She crouched in front of me, her long red nails carresed the side of my face before she painfuly gripped my cheeks. I tried not wince at how her nails dug painfully on my skin.
"And what? You think you own him Ellie?" She cackled, her laugh sounding so evil it brought chills down my spine."You are nothing but a pathetic girl." Annie stated, her eyes glaring at me.
I pulled my head away from her hold, her nails scratching my skin at the action."Well, this pathetic girl is Alec King's girlfriend so I guess being pretty isn't something special at all." I smirked, her eyes widening before they grew murderous.
"What do you mean? Alec asked you out?" She took a step back, not being able to wrap her head around the idea.
Todd laid on the floor, snorting at her."What exactly you always wished for dumb ass. Alec's dating her so she basically owns his heart."
"I can't believe out of 25o million of sperm cells, you won." I muttered quietly.
Annie let put an angry scream before she slapped me on the face hard. My cheek burned hard and I immediately felt it swell, she slapped me a few more times and Todd tried to push her but failed considering he was weakened from the accident.
I felt blood drip from the cuts on her nails and the stinging sensation made everything worse. Something flash in V's eyes and he stepped forward.
"That's enough Annie." Valentino said, his gaze on her back.
The fact that Theodore wasn't here made me relieved, it was all set up as a trap. They knew they wouldn't get to me as long as Alec's by my side.
They used my hesitation in their favor. Fucking scums.
"Why?" She snapped, turning her head to throw a glare."Don't tell me your in love with this bitch too."
Valentino smirked, walking up to her and pulling her frame flush against him."You know its not like that, my standards are better than that."
Chase fake gagged, our attention turning to him."Seriously? Your standard is her? Didn't know you loved trash V."
Todd snorted, a chuckle leaving his lips. Annie flushed beet red before stomping her way towards Chase's sitting figure.
"What did you say?" She hissed, glaring at Chase.
"I said, Valentino's standards are nothing but a piece of trash if he's f-cking you," Chase repeated, offering her mocking smile.
She laughed sweetly, pushing her hair back."Puh-lease, everybody wants me. If you wanted to sleep with me, just say so."
Chase looked horrified."Are you deaf? Lei è matta. I'd rather jack myself off than put my d-ck anywhere near your STD holes." He shuddered.
Annie seemed to pause for a second, trying to understand the Italian words that left Chase mouth.
Todd rolled his eyes, turning his body to her."He said you're fucking bonkers."
Annie scowled before slapping Chase."Who do you think you are?" She snarled.
Chase didn't even wince and smirked at her."I'm a sexy beast who wants nothing to do with a trash like you."
Annie's face can't be describe, she looked completely red in embarrassment before she turned to Valentino.
"Tell them to bring the kit," She demanded, Valentino pausing for a minute at her words before he nodded and walked out of the room.
After a few minutes, Val came back carrying a few things. My eyes widen when I saw Rody and Drew step in carrying a plastic table and a chair.
This time, I couldn't stop the fear that slammed into me. My eyes widened in horror as they started to place sharp objects on the table.
Annie clapped her hands with glee."Every insults leads back to her sexy beast." She suddenly pointed out to me.
Chase started to struggle against the chains."Don't you dare lay a fucking finger on her." Chase's expression growing worried.
"Stop this Annie. This isn't you. Alec isn't the only man in the universe." Todd suddenly spoke, his eyes held fear and worry.
Annie grew angrier and threw a fit."He's the only man for me!" She screeched.
Todd's lip set in a line, dragging his body towards me and laid his body on my lap. I couldn't help but well up in tears at how they're trying to protect me.
"Try fucking taking her then you you weak shit." Todd sneered.
"Get him off her and bring her to this chair." Annie said, making her way to the table.
Rody stepped forward before he roughly pulled Todd away from me. I let out a pained shriek when I felt him drag me by the hair.
"You fucking pussy! Manhandling a woman like this!" I cried out, thrashing wildly against him.
Todd and Chase were shouting hysterically, doing their best to drag theirselves towards me but couldn't.
I was set on the chair and Alex made an entrance which made everything more bad. He gave me a flirty smile and tied the rope around me and the chair.
When he was done, he took a step back."I'll let Annie play with you first love. I'll be back." His eyes holding a certain promise.
He went out of the room, ignoring the cusses that Todd and Chase were throwing at him. Annie stepped forward, giving me another slap.
Shit.
I winced as Annie pulled on my hair hard."This is what happens when you steal something that isn't yours."
"You're a fucking lunatic Annie." I spat out, glaring at her.
"Rody? Remember what she did to you? It's your time now." She gave him a wink before stepping back.
The slap that Rody gave me was nothing compared to Annie. I felt everything ache up until to my neck.
He continued with a punch on my stomach and I literally stopped breathing for a whole minute. A pained groan escaping my mouth, blood trickling out of my mouth.
My ear buzzed in pain and I could make out Chase and Todd trying to get of their chains. Their screams of dark promise made everything in me somehow comforted that they were there.
"Stop, its my turn." Annie sang softly, picking up a knife that glinted against the light.
Rody took a step back, a smile pulling up at his lips at the sight of my weakened and almost unconscious state.
"You fucking bastard!" Todd angrily said, pulling at his chains wildly.
"If I ever get my hands on you! You're gonna be a dead son of bitch!" Chase promised, throwing glares at him that even made me scared.
Annie stepped forward with the knife, their expression growing horrified."I hope the pain will teach you a fucking lesson." She sneered.
Todd was half kneeling now, his eyes pleading."Annie! Don't fucking do this, this isn't you Annie!" He screamed out.
Annie ignored him, taking slow steps toward me."See you in hell bitâ"
The loud crash of the door opening made everyone stop. Andrew's panicked figure walked in.
"We need to go Annie, the cops are here with the rival gang. Alex said to retreat," Andrew stated, rushing out of the room.
As those words left his mouth, loud gunshots echoed and dashing footsteps made its way known.
Rody didn't even bother with Annie before he left with Drew rushing out of the room. I slumped weakly on the chair, relief flooding in me.
Valentino took a hold of her hand."We need to go now Annie." He stated, his eyes showing a hint of worried.
"No! Fucking weaklings!" She shouted after them, throwing her gaze back to me."This is all your fucking fault."
If I wasn't so weak then I probably would've said something snarky that would piss her off even more.
"You brought this upon yourselves." Chase interjected, glaring at the both of them.
"Now, you're going to pay the price." Todd promised, his expression completely cold.
Annie let out a frustrated scream before stabbing me."You can't have him!" She exclaimed, more pain immediately clouding up in me.
I gasped, feeling the knife dug deep into my skin. Blood immediately seeped out and white dots started to appear on my eyes.
The hysterical screams of Chase and Tood grew faint as I felt myself slowly slip out of consciousness.
I felt my eyes flutter close, drowning into the depths of pain. I didn't even notice when the door banged opened, cops rushing in.
I felt arms wrapping around my bloodied form, shouting something that I was too tired to make out.
My eyes fluttered open one more time and electrifying blue eyes were the last thing I saw before I fell into deep slumber.
