"Hello."
Cheonma waved her hand. Seeing her, I furrowed my brows.
It wasnât strange for her to appear out of nowhere and greet me. By now, I was well aware that everything she did was bizarre. That wasnât the issue.
"â¦What are you riding?"
The real problem was the creature she was sitting on.
I pointed at the black wolf-like form beneath her. Cheonma followed my hand with her gaze, looking down.
Then she looked back up at me and spoke.@@novelbin@@
"A friend."
"â¦What?"
"A friend."
"A friend?"
"Yeah."
"â¦That thing? With you?"
"Yeah."
What kind of insane nonsense was this? Cheonma befriended Kurung?
I was too dumbfounded to even react properly.
âGrrr.
At Cheonmaâs words, Kurung let out a low growl.
Was that denial or affirmation?
I didnât have the ability to discern meaning from such a brief sound.
So, I simply stared at the creature.
Kurung suddenly lifted its head to look at Cheonma. Their eyes met.
Then, without a word, Cheonma slipped down from its back.
Did they just have a silent conversation?
âGrrr.
Kurung slowly walked toward me and stopped right in front.
It looked exactly like a wolf, or perhaps a large dog.
With violet eyes that resembled Cheonmaâs, it stared at me.
I narrowed my eyes and asked,
"â¦Were you waiting for me?"
âGrrr.
For an animalâs growl, it was oddly crude.
It let out that sound and gave a slight nod.
Meaningâit had known I would come looking for it and had been waiting.
In other wordsâ
"So, you knew about this too."
