The roaring flames filled the night sky.
The searing heat rippled through the air, so intense it felt like midday despite the moon still hanging overhead.

I waved my hand at the flames dancing wildly in the air.

The sound echoed like the wail of a beast.
Thick streams of fire twisted and turned at my command, and in momentsâ
Boom!!
A massive shockwave surged outward, and the flames began to retreat.
The blue fire poured back into my body, surging toward my heart, condensing into energy.n/ô/vel/b//in dot c//om
But even as it settled, I could feel that Iâd only reclaimed about half of what I had poured out.

I let out a deep breath, dispersing the lingering heat in the air.

I cleared away the last of the heat and finally took a look around.
And then I laughed.
âThis is a damn mess.â
The aftermath of the flames had left the place in ruins.
Scorched trees, charred marks scattered across the groundâ
It made sense, considering the fire Iâd unleashed.
But stillâ
âItâs been a while since I lost this much control.â
It was a jarring realization.
Iâd long since mastered fire techniques to the point where I could precisely target my attacks.
Back in my past life, I hadnât cared about collateral damageâI just burned everything down.
But this life was different.
Iâd grown accustomed to controlling my flames, but now?

After the transformation I went through last night, it was like my flames had become wild and untamed.
