The room was shrouded in an unsettling silence, the only sound the soft rustle of anxious breathing. The Sikandars' eyes were fixed on Hala, their faces etched with worry and panic.
The dimly lit room, with its cream-colored walls and faded family photographs, seemed to be closing in around them. The air was heavy with tension.
Hala's expression stern and focused, listened intently to the elder Sikandar's heartbeat through her stethoscope.
His face was pale and clammy, his eyes sunken with pain and fear. The soft beeps of the blood pressure monitor seemed to echo through the room, a steady reminder of the urgency of the situation.
The plush carpet, once a warm and inviting shade of burgundy, now seemed dull and muted, as if reflecting the family's distress.
As Hala moved the stethoscope across the elder Sikandar's chest, the soft scratching sounds seemed to fill the room.
"khair itni Tension ki baat nahi hai Inka blood pressure or sugar levels bohat high hai, dada jee apko filhaal rest kariye kuch stress na lein, mein medicine prescribed kar deta hun or 1 mahine ke liye meetha band apki sugar border line pe hai, you have to be careful " she raised her head, and told everyone a collective sigh of relief filled the room. Hala's expression turned stern, and she lectured the elder Sikandar strictly, her voice firm but laced with concern.
No, it's not that serious, but their blood pressure and sugar levels are very high. Grandfather, you should rest for now and avoid stress. I'll prescribe medicine for you, and for a month, you should avoid sweets altogether. Your sugar levels are borderline, so you need to be careful.
"Dada ji apko meri shadi ki fikar karne ki koi zaroorat nai woh hojayegi, ap bas aram kariye" Zeeshan spoke innocently trying to ease the atmosphere but he was worried too deep down, as he hasn't left his side since the time his health turned wrong.
Grandfather, there's no need for you to worry about my marriage, it will happen when the time comes. Just relax and take care of yourself."
"Dada jee you have to take precautions Hala ne jo bhi bola hai sunlen" Sufiyaan ordered him, his grandfather glared at him.
"Chup kar khota kahin ka theek hun me bikul suna nai tune bahu ke kya bola tension ki koi baat nai" He shot back with a retort, his words dripping with stubbornness, and the others could only respond with a collective shake of their heads, their faces etched with a mix of dismay and disbelief.
Shut up, you useless fellow! I'm fine, didn't you hear anything that she said? Don't worry about it, it's not a big deal."
"Baba apko fihaal araam ki zaraoort hai aur khane pe control ki bhi, you are going get complete bed rest from now on" His son shahveer declared with a perfectly poker face, his arms crossing over his chest like a barricade, as if daring anyone to challenge his statement.
Dad, you need rest right now and also need to control your diet. You will be on complete bed rest from now on.
"Complete rest karunga tou apne pote ki shadi kaise dekhunga tu mujhe mat samjha mein tumhara baap hoon samjha"Murad shah chided his son, Zeeshan's eyes sparkled with mischief, and he let out a low, chuckle.
If I will take complete rest, then how will I attend my grandson's wedding? Don't try to understand me, I am your father, understand?"
But his amusement was short-lived, as his father Shahveer's expression turned beet-red with anger . The elder's eyes flashed a stern warning, a silent command to zip it, and Zeeshan, sensing the storm brewing, hastily shut his mouth, his lips compressing into a thin, obedient line."
"Baba hum sab apki bhalai ke liye bolrahe hain" His daughter in law yasmeen attempted to make him understand in a soft tone.
Dad, we are all saying this for your own good.
"Tusi sab log fikar na karo, bachon main dekhdi haan ki kivein ih khana te control nahin karday, inhan di tabiyat taan main set karn gi ab " His wife Zohra Sikandar's words sliced through the air, a sharp rebuke that left no room for misinterpretation.
Don't worry, all of you kids. I will see how he can't control his eating habits. I'll set his health right now."
Her gaze pinned her husband to the spot, a glare that could wither even the most resilient of souls. He shrank under her gaze, his eyes darting downwards, like a child caught red-handed.
The rest of the family exchanged knowing glances, their faces twitching with suppressed mirth. They bit their lips, hiding their smiles behind a mask of pretended seriousness. The tension was palpable, the air thick with unspoken laughter.
But his wife's expression remained unyielding, her arms crossed and her eyes flashing with a warning.
"Waise bhai or bhabhi nai dikh rahe herat ki baat hai unko tou sabse pehle hona chahiye tha" Sufiyaan questioned as he looked around, expecting to see them But there was no one in sight. He thought they would be the first ones to arrive, Sufiyaan wondered where they were and felt a bit confused.
By the way, my brother and sister-in-law are not seen, it's surprising! They should have been the first ones to be here.
"Wou Aairah or bhai bahir gayen hai she texted me" Mahira's announcement sparked a chain reaction of stunned expressions, each family member's face a picture of utter astonishment.
She (Aairah) and brother have gone out, she texted me.
Hayaan and Aiarah, went out? It was a prospect so unusual that it left the family agog. The room fell silent, save for the sound of collective gasps and the soft hum of shock.
It was as if the family had forgotten that the two quiet souls were capable of surprises, and Mahira's words had just blown their collective minds.
"Chalo kuch tou Aqal ayi mere puttar nu" Zohra Sikandar's voice dripped with satisfaction.
Good, some sense has finally come to my son."
The rest of the family looked on, bewildered, their faces a blur of confusion. But Yasmeen's smile hinted that she was in on a secret, her eyes glinting with a knowing light.
"Waise Aairah ghar mein nahin hai aj tou breakfast ki bhi koi tayari nai hui, mujhe khud jake dekhna hoga sab." Yasmeen's voice trailed off in a resigned sigh. She had been looking forward to a calm morning, but now it seemed she would have to take charge and ensure everything ran smoothly.
By the way, Aairah is not home today, so no one has even prepared breakfast, I'll have to go and check everything myself.
"I can help you with anything, Mom, if you want," Hala said, her voice barely above a whisper. The room seemed to hold its breath, the others staring at her in disbelief.
Sufiyaan's eyes went wide, his coughing fit a comical expression of his shock. He clutched his heart, earning a stern glance from his wife, as if to say, 'Don't overdo it, Sufiyaan!'
"Meri bhi tabiyat kharab ho rahi hai, lagta hai mera bhi BP check karlo." Sufiyaan's sarcasm dripped like honey as he stretched out his arm, his voice laced with mock concern, His eyes sparkled with mischief, his lips curled into a playful smirk.
I'm also feeling unwell, maybe you should check my blood pressure too.
Hala's eyes narrowed, her hand instinctively clenching into a fist, but she quickly masked her irritation with a fake smile, her actions a perfect facade of concern.
She took his arm, her touch firm but gentle, and checked his blood pressure, the soft whoosh of the cuff a stark contrast to the tension between them."
"Areh tumhara bp tou bohat high hai" she said, surprised glancing at him, Sufiyaan thought it occurred because he had a sudden stress for his grandfather.
Hey, your blood pressure is very high!
"Han tou tum he tou ho mere Bp high hone ki waja" Sufiyaan's playfully taunting smile was the final straw for Hala, her frustration boiling over like a pot left unattended on the stove.
Yes, you are the reason for my high blood pressure!
She gazed at the blood pressure machine in her hand, her mind momentarily tempted to use it as a weapon to knock some sense into his sneering head. The urge to whack him with it was sudden and intense, her fingers twitching with the effort of restraining herself.
She took a deep breath, counting to ten, and reminded herself that violence was not the answer... at least, not at this particular moment.
"Haan bhabhi, ap hai hi itni khoobsoorat ke bhai ka apko dekh kar BP high hojata hoga" Zeeshan's teasing words hung in the air like a mischievous whisper.
Yes, sister-in-law, you are so beautiful that my brother's BP would definitely rise just by looking at you!
Sufiyaan's face transformed in an instant, his playful smile replaced by a stern glare that could freeze water at a hundred paces. His eyes locked onto Zeeshan, a silent warning etched in their depths.
"Waise yeh baat tou sahii ki hai tumne Zeeshan, khoobsoorat tou hoon he main" Hala said proudly with a grin, She playfully tossed her head back, and her hair fell around her shoulders. Zeeshan joined in, and they both laughed together, and heified
By the way, that's true, Zeeshan! I am indeed very beautiful!
The Sikandar family couldn't help but notice the sudden shift in Hala's demeanor, like a flower blooming in the desert. She, who had always kept them at arm's length, was now effortlessly bantering and laughing with them.
The warmth of her smile and the sparkle in her eyes soothing the damage of past rejections. They exchanged surprised glances, their faces reflecting a mix of wonder and gratitude.
This new Hala, the one who was slowly letting her guard down, was a welcome change, and they embraced it with open arms.
-
While Hayaan and Aairah strolled through the gate, both glanced at each other, the air thick with the sweetness of their blossoming love.
Aairah's face radiated a soft glow, her cheeks flushed like a sunset. She tucked her hair behind her ear, and Hayaan's heart skipped a beat. He gazed at her, his eyes filled with adoration.
"Apne enjoy ki aj ki breakfast meeting Madam?" Hayaan asked and the way he addressed her made Aairah's heart flutter, her stomach somersaulting with delight."
Did you enjoy your breakfast meeting today?
"Jee" Aairah's voice was barely audible, a soft whisper that sent shivers down Hayaan's spine.
As she spoke, her dupatta slipped from her head, the silky fabric sliding down her shoulders like a gentle caress. She quickly readjusted it, her slender fingers fumbling with the delicate cloth.
The gesture was endearing, a testament to her modesty and grace, and Hayaan's heart swelled with adoration and respect for his beautiful wife.
He took a step closer to her, Aairah's eyes grew wide, her gasp a soft whisper that escaped her lips. Her heart skipped a beat, her pulse racing with excitement, as she gazed up at him with eyes that shone like stars in the night sky.
Her lips parted, her breath catching in her throat, as she drank in the sight of him. The air seemed to vibrate with tension, the space between them crackling with electricity.
Hayaan's hand reached out to adjust Aairah's duppata, her heart fluttering like a bird set free. His fingers grazed her skin, sending shivers down her spine, and her hand fell lifeless, surrendering to his touch.
The gentle gesture ignited a fire within her, and she felt butterflies dance in her belly. Hayaan's gaze burned with intensity, his eyes locked onto hers, drinking in the sight of her. He couldn't tear his eyes away, by the beauty before him, his soul entangled by the gentle charm of his wife.
"Mera khayal hai humhe aise meetings karti rehna chaiye kya kehti hai aap begum"Hayaan said, his voice low and gentle, his eyes sparkling with warmth.
I think we should keep having such meetings, what do you say, my queen?"
Aairah's brows shot up in surprise, her lips parting slightly as she processed his words. Then, her lower lip faded between her teeth, her fingers fidgeting with nervous energy as she gazed up at him.
The air was thick with tension as Hayaan stood close, his proximity making her heart race and her cheeks flush a deep beetroot red. She looked like a delicate flower, fragile and beautiful, as she struggled to respond, her voice caught in her throat.
Hayaan's gaze was drawn to Aairah's lips, his eyes lingering on the tender flesh as she nervously chewed on her lower lip.
Then, his eyes met hers, He felt a rush of emotions, his heart racing with excitement, as he reached out and gently placed his hand over hers.
The moment their skin touched, a spark of energy flashed between them, Aairah's hands stilled, her fingers ceasing their fluttering as Hayaan's warm palm enveloped hers, sending shivers down her spine.
"Apne honton ko dard mat pohchaye aap, mujhe pasand nai ke aap ko thori si bhi takleef ho inkar karskakti hain aap" Hayaan whispered, his warm breath caressing her ear. As he gently held her chin, his touch sent goosebumps coursing down her skin.
Aairah's eyes widened in surprise, her lower lip releasing from her teeth as she realized he had noticed her nervous habit. She looked away, her cheeks flushing with a soft pink hue, Hayaan's gaze followed the curve of her lips, his eyes shining with a soft adoration."
(Don't hurt your lips, I can't bear the thought of you in even a little pain)
"Mein inkaar nahi karahi lekin apke paas waqt kahan hai apko tou bohat kaam hai na CM sahab"Aairah replied playfully, her brows raised in a teasing arch. As she spoke, she reached out and gently dusted the dirt from Hayaan's shoulders.
I'm not refusing, but you don't have time anyway, you're very busy, aren't you, Chief Minister sir?
He smiled softly at her, his eyes crinkling at the corners, and Aairah's heart fluttered in response. She was a constant surprise to him, revealing new aspects of her personality every day, and he was captivated by her ever-changing colors.
"Apni Begum ke liye mera pas wakt he wakt hai"Hayaan replied nonchalantly, his words masked by the sparkle in his eyes.
I have time for my Begum
Even he was surprised by his own behavior, knowing full well the mountain of work waiting for him, yet he couldn't help but prioritize his wife. Aairah's presence had a way of making time stand still, and he found himself seeking moments to cherish with her, even in the midst of chaos.
"Acha aisa hai, Phir jaise ap bolen, Jahan bhi lekar chalen me tou tayaar hoon apke sath khahin bhi Jane ke liye," Aairah replied, her smile radiant, her eyes sparkling like diamonds in the sunlight.
Ah, I see! Well, in that case, wherever you want to take me, I'm ready to go with you!
Hayaan's gaze lingered on her, his eyes filled with affection, as he watched her respond with such enthusiasm. Her words were like music to his ears, a sweet serenade that filled his heart with joy.
"Bade Mamu, Aaani ap ghoomi ghoomi kalne gaye thay wiltout me vely bad"
Elder uncle, and aunt you went to roam around without me, that was very bad!
Their eyes met briefly, before they both looked away, their gazes landing on Ada, who was watching them with her big, round eyes, her cheeks a deep shade of red. She was dressed in a charming white dress, her hair tied in two ponytails, making her look like a porcelain doll, her innocence and sweetness captivating them both."
"Bache mein meeting me gaya tha apki Aani tou bas help ke liye chali thi" Hayaan swept Ada into his arms, and she wrapped her tiny hands around his neck, gazing up at him with adoration.
I was in a meeting, and your aunt had just accompany me to help me.
He responded with a gentle smile, careful not to upset her, and shot a glance at Aairah, who was trying to hide her own smile.
"Kyun Aani smalt hai ishliye"She blinked up at him, her eyes sparkling with curiosity, and asked him a question in return.
Why because aunt is smart that's why.
Hayaan chuckled and nodded his head, and Ada pouted playfully, but then nodded her own head in agreement, looking up at them with a sweet expression.
"Ada Meri jaan ap akele living room me kya karhe ho?" Aairah's brow furrowed in confusion as she scanned their surroundings, realizing they were alone. She turned her attention to Ada, her eyes questioning.
Ada, my love, what are you doing alone in the living room?
"Aani mein dodo ke sath me khel lahi thi" Ada pointed to her toy bear , answering Aairah's question, and Aairah smiled, her curiosity momentarily satisfied. Before she could ask another question, their caretaker approached them, carrying a warm bottle of milk for Ada."
Aunt I was playing with dodo
"Ap aise choti bachi ko chorh kare kaise ja sakti hain, agar usko kuch lag jata tou? Or baki sab kahan hai itni khamoshi kyu hai ghar mein" Aairah's expression turned stern, her concern for Ada's safety evident as she scolded her gently. Then, her eyebrows furrowed in question, she looked around, as if searching for answers to unspoken questions.
How can you leave a small child alone in the living room? What if something happens to her ? Where is everyone else? Why is there so much silence in the house?"
"Maaf keejiye Bibi Jee, or bade sahab ki tabiyat bohat kharab hai isliye Sab unke kamre mein hai, " She requested forgiveness, her voice laced with remorse, and then proceeded to explain the situation, her words shedding light on the circumstances that had unfolded.
Forgive me, Bibi Jee, everyone is in his room because Bade Sahab's health is very bad"
Aairah and Hayaan exchanged a frantic glance, their eyes wide with panic. The news had hit them like a thunderbolt, and they were struggling to process it.
Hayaan quickly set Ada down and instructed her caretaker to watch over her, before turning to Aairah and rushing towards their room with a sense of urgency.
As they burst into the room, the door closed behind them. The walls seemed to close in around them, amplifying the tension in the air.. Aairah's eyes were wide with worry, her brow furrowed in concern.
"Dada Jee aap theek tou hai na, kya hua hai apko, or apne humhe bataya kyun nai" Aairah asked her eyes brimming with tears, and enveloped him in a warm embrace. Her expression was etched with concern, and her voice trembled as she bombarded him with questions.
Grandfather, are you okay? What happened to you? And why didn't you tell us?
Hayaan's expression remained stoic, his face a mask of calmness, as he questioned Sufiyaan with a straight face. However, his anxiousness betrayed him, as he subconsciously rubbed his neck, revealing the turmoil beneath his composed exterior.
Sufiyaan, noticing Hayaan's subtle cue, provided a brief update on the health concerns, and Hayaan's tense demeanor relaxed ever so slightly, as he sighed in quiet relief.
"Dada Jee Maine kitni baat kaha hai apse apna dhiyaan rakhiya ap Meri baat kabhi nai sunte dekha aj kya hogya"Aairah gently rebuked him, her tears now wiped away.
Grandfather, I've told you so many times, but you never listen to me! Look what's happened today!
The other members present observed the scene in silence, stifling their grins as they knew that only Aairah can scold him in such a manner. She was his favorite, and he listened to her with a devotion rivaling his loyalty to his wife.
The elder Sikandar looked sheepish, his eyes cast downward in shame, he apologized to her tapping her head, Aairah's expression softened slightly, but her tone remained firm.
"Ab apko apna khayal rakhna hai, I won't have you scaring us like this again. You need to take your medication regularly and rest more often. No more overexerting yourself samjhe ap nahi tou mein apse naraz hojaungi" Aairah warned him strictly, The elder Sikandar nodded meekly, his eyes still downcast.
The rest of the family breathed a collective sigh of relief, grateful that the crisis had passed.
-
The family gathered around the breakfast table, with the exception of their grandparents, who had opted to rest for a while.
Aairah and Hayaan had already eaten, but they joined the others to keep them company. Hayaan took a seat, while Aairah assisted the butlers in serving the food, ensuring everyone had a filled plate. Then she took a seat beside Hayaan.
"Hayaan Maine suna tumne mere admiyon ki mana kar diya for the work which was to help you. Is this how you're gonna get the higher position huh?" His father's curt question cut through the air, demanding Hayaan's attention. Hayaan's head snapped towards him, his eyes locking onto his father's, his face a mask of seriousness. He had been engrossed in a conversation with his mother, but his father's abrupt inquiry commanded his focus.
Hayaan I have heard you stopped my men for the work which was to help you. Is this how you're gonna get the higher position huh?
"Baba apko maloom hai mujhe rishwat khane or karne walo se nafrat hai, tou main wou cheez khud kaise karun, mujhe in sab ki koi zaroorat nahi hai"Hayaan's reply was delivered in a calm tone, but the undertone was unmistakably firm, a gentle yet rigid resolve that brooked no argument.
Father, you know that I hate those who take and give bribes, so how can I do such a thing myself? I don't need any of these things.
His voice was steady, but the determination behind it was unwavering, a quiet strength that spoke volumes.
"I don't understand how you get in this field, in politics corruption is a must and it works and if you want a higher position you have to accept that, and don't forget about reputation of family, and I gave you this position so you have to understand my points Hayaan"
"I can achieve my goal without any corruption and sources, I want to be honest to my work, so you don't have to do anything such for me, I know about our reputation and your favors, but don't forget dad you gave me this position because I deserved it more then anyone else, today I am here because of my own hardwork." Hayaan's reply was tight-lipped, his jaw set in a firm line as he bit back his words. His hands were clenched into fists beneath the table, his body rigid with pent-up frustration, as he attempted to keep his cool.
The room fell silent, the only sound was the tense exchange between Hayaan and his father. The rest of the family had stopped eating, their forks poised mid-air, as they watched the unusual argument unfold. They were taken aback by the strength of their convictions, the clear divide between their perspectives. It was a rare sight, one that left them all speechless and intrigued.
Aairah cast a worried glance at Hayaan, who was visibly struggling to restrain his temper. His chest rose and fell with deliberate slowness, as he took deep breaths in a clear effort to calm himself. The tension in his body was palpable, and Aairah could sense the effort it was taking for him to keep his emotions in check, his anger simmering just below the surface.
Aairah's hand drifted under the table, her palm coming to rest on Hayaan's clenched fist. He turned to her, his gaze meeting her concerned expression, and the softness of her touch was like a balm to his frazzled nerves.
As he looked at her, his fingers slowly uncurled, and Aairah's hand slid into his, their fingers intertwining like a gentle embrace. Hayaan's grip on her hand tightened, and he took a deep breath, feeling the anger seep out of his body, replaced by a sense of calm and comfort.
"Bas karden kya hogaya ap dono ko, yeh khane ki maiz par behes nai suna chahti mein, or yeh gussa mere ghar se bhair pheno ke aya Karen samjhe dono"Yasmeen's stern and loud voice boomed in the living room, shattering the tense silence. She was visibly worried, witnessing Hayaan's outburst for the first time, and her concern was palpable.
What's wrong with you both? I don't want to hear this argument about work in the dining room, take your anger elsewhere, I don't want it in my home. Both of you, understand?
Fear flickered in her eyes, as she dreaded the possibility of them revealing something they all were unaware of, something that could potentially upset the delicate balance of their family dynamics.
Shahveer got up and left the dining hall, Noticing the unusual silence and the clattering of plates and spoons, Zeeshan surveyed the room and sensed an opportunity to defuse the tension.
With a warm smile, he decided to lighten the mood, his eyes twinkling with a hint of mischief, as he prepared to inject some much-needed humor into the strained atmosphere."
"Waise bhabhi apki Maine savere cheeke ki awaz suni sab khairyat" Zeeshan's query was met with a range of reactions. He raised an eyebrow, his expression inquisitive.
By the way I heard your scream in the morning is everything alright.
while Aairah's eyes widened in response, her lower lip caught between her teeth in a subtle display of anxiety. Hayaan, on the other hand, maintained a poker face, his features unreadable, as he continued to toy with Aairah's fingers under the table, his hands moving with a gentle, soothing rhythm.
"Erm.. Wo kamre me bohat bada wala chuha agaya tha isliye" Aairah attempted to reason by glancing at her husband, her nervous smile faltering as she tried to gently disentangle her hand from Hayaan's grasp.
There was a huge rat in the room, that's why!
But Hayaan was not letting go, his brow arching upward in a playful challenge as he tightened his hold, sending a thrill of surprise through Aairah. She felt a shiver run down her spine, her heart fluttering in response to the sudden spark of intimacy, as Hayaan's eyes locked onto hers with a mischievous glint.
"Kahin wou chuha bhai tou nai?" "He asked her the question in a teasing tone, his words hanging in the air like a challenge.
Is that rat brother.
Aairah's jaw dropped in astonishment, her mouth agape as she struggled to process the audacity of his inquiry. The others around the table struggled to suppress their grins, their faces twitching with suppressed cheer.
Hayaan's ear, however, betrayed his emotions, flushing a deep shade of crimson, even as his face remained a mask of calm, his expression unreadable.
"Nahi"Aairah exclaimed, her voice tinged with embarrassment, as a deep flush spread across her face. She cast her gaze downward, avoiding eye contact with the others, her cheeks burning with self-consciousness.
No
"Acha sahi hai phir me aj he chuha Marne wali dawayi laga doonga mar jayega wou chuha" Zeeshan retorted playfully, his words sparking a chain reaction of surprise and amazement.
Okay, that's right! I'll put down rat poison today and that rat will die!
Aairah's eyes widened in shock, her mouth agape in disbelief, while Hayaan's face darkened, his eyes flashing a warning glare at Zeeshan.
But their mother's reaction was the most memorable with a swift flick of her wrist, she sent her chappal flying towards Zeeshan, a perfect blend of exasperation and humor.
"Mujhe Kyun mara mumma" Zeeshan rubbed his head in pain and looked at his mom in surprise. He couldn't believe she had thrown a sandal at him! His face showed a shock, and playful annoyance.
Why did you hit me mother.
"Kuch tou sharam karo, bade bhai ke bare mein aise bolte hai zeeshan Allah ka naam lo" Yasmin's face turned stern, her expression unyielding as she scolded Zeeshan, her voice firm and authoritative. Her eyes narrowed slightly, her brow furrowed in disapproval, as she rebuked him with a seriousness that left no room for argument."
Have some shame, speaking ill of your elder brother like that! Take the name of Allah.
"Ya Allah" Zeeshan responded with his eyes closed, invoking God's name as he spoke, his voice tinged with a hint of pretend innocence.
The others let out a collective sigh, their faces etched with exasperation, while his mother shook her head in disbelief, her eyes rolling heavenward as if to say, ''Only Zeeshan would dare to.."
"Mama mujhe meetha khane ka bohat man hai kheer banao na ya toh meri biwi ko bolo " Sufiyaan spoke with feigned innocence, his eyes wide with a mischievous glint as he gazed at his mother.
Mama, I have a strong craving for something sweet, please make kheer (a sweet dessert) or else ask my wife to make it!
Hala paused mid-action, the knife hovering over the bread as she expertly applied a slice of jam. Sensing his sly intentions, Hala shot him a knowing look, her eyes narrowing slightly.
With a subtle flick of her wrist, she dug the knife into the bread with a soft thud, her annoyance evident. Sufiyaan's eyes widened further, his gulp audible as he realized he'd pushed his luck too far.
"Areh yeh farmayesh apni biwi se khud karo, hala tum bando apne shohar ke liye ata hai na tumhe bete" Yasmin inquired politely, her eyes fixed on Hala with a gentle gaze, as if seeking reassurance. Hala nodded her head hesitantly, her hands betraying her nervousness as she clenched her fists.
Oh make this request to your wife by yourself, Hala you cook for you husband do you know it right child?
"Mein madad karun tumhari hala" Aairah offered her immediately worried for her as she thought she might not know how to cook.
Should I help you?
"No bhabhi I'll manag, aise kheer banaungi ki Sufiyaan bhool hi nahi payega" She retorted with a hint of teasing, her eyes glinting with playful sarcasm as she gazed at Sufiyaan, who shifted uncomfortably, letting out a nervous chuckle.
No, sister-in-law, I'll manage, I'll make such delicious kheer that Sufiyaan will never forget it!"
With a flick of her hair, she turned and sauntered into the kitchen, murmuring under her breath.
"Bohat kheer khane ka shauq hai na abhi dikhati hun."
He wants to eat kheer right I will show him.
"Bhai tou gaye aj "Zeeshan made a comment, accompanied by a dismissive hand gesture, waving his hand to the left, near his neck.
Brother is gone today.
Sufiyaan shot him a withering glare, his eyes flashing with annoyance. Hayaan, meanwhile, rolled his eyes good-naturedly, seemingly unimpressed by their banter, and refocused on his work, busily scanning a few emails.
"Kyun tang karah ho usko, bichari pehli baar tou sabke sath bethi hai"Aairah scolded Sufiyaan, her face scrunched up in disapproval, her expression a clear indication that she was not pleased with him."
Why do you tease her, for the first time she was sitting with everybody.
"Kya bhabhi sirf farmyesh toh ki hai apni biwi se agar bhai aap ko kehte tou ap nai banati?"Sufiyaan asked her a question, raising his eyebrows. She was caught off guard and didn't know what to say. She sighed softly, looking down, trying to think of an answer.
Sister-in-law, is it just a request? If your husband asked you to make kheer, would you not make it?
Hala entered the room with a warm smile, a tray in her hand bearing a steaming bowl of kheer. She had made it especially for her husband, and offered it to everyone present.
However, Hayaan declined the offer, and Hala's face fell as she misunderstood his refusal. She looked at him awkwardly, her eyes clouding with a hint of disappointment.
"It's not about you, mujhe meethi cheezein zaida nai pasand" "He spoke with genuine sincerity, his words dripping with honesty, but Aairah rolled her eyes, and murmured under her breath, her lips barely moving as she uttered a soft, remark in pashto
I don't like sweet things much.
"Wohe khazhda ka pa keena khoree da, no khadoos Sikandar!"
He could have take it keep her heart but no khadoos Sikandar.
"Apne phirse meri burayi ki pashto mein"Â Hayaan's whisper was laced with a playful hint of tease, his voice barely audible as he leaned in closer to Aairah.
Aairah's head shook vigorously, her eyes widening in surprise as she gasped at the sudden closeness that had caught her off guard, and she gasped, her lips parting slightly as she struggled to process the unexpected intimacy.
"Bhai apne kahan apko meethi cheezain nai pasand lekin bhabhi tou kitni meethi hai phir wou tou apko pasand hain" Zeeshan's teasing remark hung in the air, his eyes sparkling with mischief.
Brother, you said you don't like sweet things, but your sister-in-law is very sweet, so you must like her!.
Hayaan's glare was swift and stern, his eyes flashing a warning as he shot him a look that screamed 'shut up!' Aairah, meanwhile, felt her cheeks flush with embarrassment, her gaze dropping to the floor as a soft blush spread across her face.
"Bhabhi kheer tou bari maze ki hai"
Sister in law kheer is really tasty.
"Han Hala waqayi me kheer bohat acchi banayi hai tumne"
Yeah Hala you made it really good .
"Hmm.. Mujhe nai maloom tha tum itni achi kheer bana na janti ho" Yasmeen lavished praise on Hala with the duo, her voice warm with appreciation, as Zeeshan and Aairah savored the sweet dish with relish.
I didn't know you could make such delicious kheer!
Hala's face lit up with a gracious smile, her eyes shining with pleasure as she accepted their compliments. 'Thank you,' she said, her voice barely above a whisper, her lips curving upwards in a gentle, heartfelt expression of gratitude.
"Kaise lagi kheer tumhe Sufiyaan"Hala asked him with a sly smirk, her eyes glinting with mischief. Sufiyaan, meanwhile, was struggling to swallow the bite in his mouth, his face scrunched up in distaste.
How is the kheer Sufiyaan?
The kheer was excessively salty, and he knew Hala had deliberately added salt to his portion. He forced a fake smile, trying to play it off, but his eyes betrayed his discomfort. He couldn't even complain to others, knowing Hala had cleverly damaged only his bowl, leaving him to suffer in silence.
"Hmm... ek dam tumhare jaise Zeher"He whispered through gritted teeth, his voice barely audible, yet laced with a hint of frustration.
Just like you poisonous.
Hala, however, couldn't help but feel a twitch of amusement at his reaction. She pressed her lips together, a subtle gesture to stifle the smile that threatened to surface, her eyes sparkling with glee as she struggled to maintain a straight face.
"Acha Chalo agar khana ho gaya to Sab tayar hojao shopping ke liye jana hai humne, bohat kam hai, kal is pagal ki mehndi hai mujhe to samjh hi nahi aa raha kya hoga iska" Yasmeen's instructions were met with a chorus of nods, but her own frustration was palpable.
Okay,! If we're done eating, everyone get ready to go shopping! We have a lot to do, and tomorrow is this crazy person's mehndi ceremony... I have no idea what's going to happen!
She sighed heavily, her hands rising to cradle her head as if the weight of the moment was bearing down on her. Her eyes drifted towards Zeeshan, who was absorbed in his phone, his attention consumed by a game.
The soft glow of the screen illuminated his face, casting an eerie light on his features as he tapped away, seemingly oblivious to the tension around him. Yasmeen's gaze rested on him, her expression a blend of annoyance and disappointment.
As their mother spoke up, Hayaan Sufiyaan and Zeeshan exchanged a knowing glance, their eyes locked in a silent understanding that they needed to talk about the plan. Sufiyaan, still hesitant to lend his support, seemed to be dragged into the conversation against his will. Yet, with Hayaan already standing firmly by Zeeshan's side, he had little choice but to approve, his hesitation palpable in the air.
