Chapter 11: chapter 11

Isabella's POV- The noises from downstairs woke me up. I realized that my surrounding is very different. I don't remember coming here. The sound was getting louder. I sneaked out of the room so that Engi won't wake up. I peaked out a little, to see if someone is watching over us. But no one was there, so I went down one set of stairs. The noises coming from somewhere near. It was like someone is crying. Whoever that person is, he is in very pain. Then I heard smashing sound. Like someone has punched something, very hard. The crying turned into howling. It was not something that got punched, it was someone. Why are they doing this? Who are they beating so badly?  What did they do? Am I also an offender here?The fear of the situation sat on me. I was so scared that I didn't have the strength to move from the place on the stairs, I was standing on. I sat there. I heard the whole ordeal. I heard it was Xavier, who was beating the guys, who kidnapped us. I get it, they are not good people, but what he is doing is inhuman. He is more dangerous than those guys.I heard Ohio saying  "Xavier, stop now. They will die before we get the answers from them.""Why should I. They dared to touch someone who is mine. You have seen those girls Ohio. They were hurt and scared because of these Insects. I don't need any answers, I will just kill them" Xavier was so angry and it was clear in his voice. He surely will kill them. He said he wants to kill them because of us. I don't want him to kill someone for us. They deserve punishment, but death is not that. So I decided to do something very dangerous and stupid. I walked towards the place where this whole thing was going on.It was some room downstairs. I was too scared to enter there. I can still hear the crying and beating. He is very angry. I should not try my luck on this. It may be me who dies today. I was standing there in conflict, when a hand landed on my shoulder. I screamed. I turned to look. She was a woman. She looked in her 40's. She put a finger on my lips."What are you doing here, dear? You should be resting right now." She said with a smile. I relaxed a little. "I heard noises, so came to check on it. It was very loud." I said, but then I noticed something, all kinds of noises stopped. I looked towards the door and it opened suddenly. It made me take several steps back.There he was, covered in blood. It made me sick. He is so scary. He seems shocked, but then he asked "Why are you here?" "I... the noises.... I came here..." I took a deep breath. He was waiting for me calmly. But the hesitation was clear in his eyes. I can tell that he doesn't want me to this. "Don't kill them." I said. "What? What do you mean?" He asked confused. "I know what they did was very wrong, but you have no right to kill them. They do deserve punishment, but killing can never be justified." I said looking directly into his eyes.I hoped that he will understand my point. I am glad that he didn't kill me yet. I waited for his answer, but he didn't say anything, he just left the room. I took a breath, I'm still alive. The woman took me to somewhere, I was not in the state of mind to question her. She took me to the table, which was attached to the kitchen.  I remembered that I haven't had anything from the morning and it's past dinner time.  She made some quick sandwiches for me with a glass of warm milk. I ate it very fast, that time I realized how much hungry I was.She took the empty dishes and put them in the sink for me. She told me to go and rest now. She dropped me to my room. I saw Engi was still sleeping. I wished good night to her and went inside. I locked the door. I can't take the chances, if he changed his mind on letting us live.I lay down with Engi. I didn't even ask the woman's name. Who was she. Thank god, I'm not the only woman here now. She seems very nice. Maybe she'll help me escape from here.I should leave these on tomorrow. I closed my eyes and went into the dark.**********Xavier's POV-What the hell she was doing there? Were the noises that loud? She must have got scared by it. But why did she come down? She saw me like that. She must be disgusted by me. Anyone normal will be. I was covered in blood. In someone else's blood. What she said was right, but in my world this is how it works. She will have to understand this now. I slept with so much going on in my head.**********I woke up with the loud bang on my door. I ran to open it. The little girl was there. She had tears in her eyes. I couldn't understand what to do. I went on my knees to talk to her. "What happened?" I never talked to someone this small. She took my hand and tried to drag me towards her and her mother's room. Then I understood. Isabella was screaming, but she was still asleep. The little girl could not have woke her up. I went near Isabella and tried to wake her up. I shook her, but no use. The girl comes to me and said  "Is mama okay?""Yes, she is just having a nightmare" I said. She looked at her mother and nodded. I tried again, but of no use. I took her face in my hands and shook her again, this time it worked, but she was trying to get out of my hands. I took her in my arms "It's okay, love. It's just a nightmare. Everything is good. You are good. See, your daughter is also here. She is fine too." When I mentioned her daughter then she calmed a little and looked for her daughter. I let her go and her daughter took my place. "Engi? Are you all right? Why are you crying baby. I'm fine. I'm so sorry I scared you. I'm so sorry." Isabella took her daughter in her arms. Seeing this scene, made my heart feel warm. "It's okay mama. You are fine now." The little girl wiped her mother's tears. It made me smile. They both depend on each other. I left  the room. Anita, Ohio's wife was standing by the door. She smirked at me."It's good you room is just across their. You can help them whenever they need." She said as if she was indicating something, which I didn't understand, but again, if it's Anita, then obviously it will be hard to understand for anyone. "I don't what you just said, but please, can you take care of them." I said and went from there.**********The whole day went in a blur. Today was very busy. I did not go home after coming to office. I thought about the girls time to time. I called Anita to ask about them. Today's work is done. Now I can see them.
