Isabelle's POV- It's very late, I can tell by the torture of sun on my face right now. The sun is very up in the sky that means I'm late.I was just laying on the bed, with Engi in my arms. Yesterday's event was playing in my head. The kidnapping, the pain, the doctor, the painful noises and him. I remember him in two shadows, one, when he was covered in blood and looked like a savage animal. Second, when he was trying to wake me up from bad dreams. He was holding me with so much tenderness.There was a knock on the door. I get out of the bed and opened it. The lady from yesterday was standing there, with a tray of breakfast. "I hope I didn't disturb your sleep. But your daughter hasn't had anything, I was worried" The lady said."Thanks. I was up already. I'll take it" I took the tray from her hand."If you need anything, you can come and find me. I'm downstairs." She said."Am I allowed to go anywhere?" I asked.Are not I there prisoner or something? "Yes, dear. You can go anywhere, but within the house." She replied. "Oh." So I can't leave this place. I do hear him saying that it is not safe for me outside. "I forgot to ask your name yesterday. What is your name, ma'am?" I asked"Oh, it was my fault. I should have introduced myself before. I'm Anita. I'm Ohio's wife. I've been taking care of these boys from when they were very young." She gave me her full introduction. I think I'll like her.With that, she left. I took the breakfast in the room. I woke Engi up. From yesterday, I didn't get the time to properly talk to her. We both freshen up. We sat on the bed, I gave her the glass of milk, but she didn't take it. She was looking at her clothes, then I realized she wet her sleeves. She must be uncomfortable right now.I get off the bed and looked for anything to wear for her and me. There were only gents clothes. So at last I took out a tee shirt for Engi and a button up shirt and boxers for me.I changed Engi but that tee shirt fall down as I put it on her. This will not work. I looked into the drawers. To find something to support this tee on her. I found it. A stapler. I staple the tee from the back side. It fitted her and not looking that bad also.Now my turn. The shirt alone covered me. It came to my mid thigh. Still, I wore the boxers because it will be uncomfortable, but as the tee was for Engi, this boxer was too big that it would fall down, if I removed my hand. So I did the same with it too. I staple it. We both stood in front of a mirror. We both look very much alike.I smiled at her and then we had our first proper meal. I made her eat a lot. It was very tasty too, so she didn't show tantrums."We have to stay here for some days. Are you okay with that?" I asked Engi after we finished eating. "I don't know. If you are with me, I can stay anywhere." She replied. We sit quietly for some time. "Mama, I was scared. Yesterday. I don't want that to happen ever again. I missed you. They took me in a room. You were not there. That room was smelling very badly. They were looking like bad people. They will not come after us. Right? You will not leave me. Right? Will that uncle save us? He was saying that he will not let anyone hurt us." She said so many things. I can understand, she was holding so much inside her small body. "When did he say that love?" I asked. I don't remember, him saying that."When you were having a nightmare. He was saying not to cry that he will protect us." She replied. Yup. He was holding me in his arms. I didn't hear him saying these things. Still, why my heart is getting out of its line? I can't let myself think about stupid thoughts. "We will be safe here love. He protects us or not, I will always protect you." I promised her."But who will protect you? I'm not that strong mama." She asked. My mind went to that person immediately. Why? Why did you think of him? This is ...He was the one... Because of him this all started. We were sitting by the window. There was a floor to roof window. The outside view of this room was beautiful. We stayed a little more when Engi complaint about getting bored.We headed downstairs. There were some men standing by the end of the stairs. We cautiously turned towards the hall. One of the men asked "Ma'am, do you need anything?" "No, we were just feeling suffocated in the room, so we came here." I replied. I was nervous even in front of this young boy. He must be in the early twenties. But still, he was intimidating."Ben, I'll take care of them. You can go back to your work." Suddenly Anita came from somewhere."Okay. Boss told me to take care, if she needs anything." He said to Anita. "Your boss told me the same. They are just girls, what would they need from you?" Anita told Ben, hitting on his head."First of all, the clothes. They really need that." Someone from the men said. Others chuckled. I turned totally red. Then I realized, what I was wearing. I came out just like that."Do you all want to starve to death? Stop messing with the girl." Anita warned them."No. No. No. We were just kidding." They shouted. They don't seem that dangerous right now. Even Engi was laughing at that."Go back to your work. And you two come with." Anita told us."Mama. I am hungry." Engi suddenly said."Oh. Well." I don't know where to ask for something to eat."What do you want to eat darling?" Anita asked Engi."Sweets." She replied, jumping. "There will be some in the pantry." Anita said. "Grandma, do you have ice cream?" Engi asked shyly.Anita and I, both looked dumbfounded at her. She just called Anita, grandma.Anita bends on her knees and pick Engi in her arms, and said "Obviously, we have ice cream. My granddaughter wants it." She kissed Engi on her cheek. Anita looked at me from head to toe. "We have some shopping to do. You can't wear this." She said. Engi was enjoying her ice cream and I and Anita were having coffee."The guy from earlier, he looked very young. Why is he doing this kind of job? He looked as a college student. Did Xavier forced him to do this work?" I asked quietly. I don't want to argue with anyone but I just can't let it go. He was looking very young."No, Ben is doing this on her own. Xavier told him to study more. He tried to convince him to go to college with my daughter but Ben refused. He didn't want to leave Xavier's side." Anita replied.Did I misunderstood him?
