I don't know why my face was getting hot by Anita's stare. "Did you two do something, so you are blushing." Anita said."No, nothing like that happened." I replied."If you are not feeling well, we can go some other day." Anita said."No, now is more urgent. You know it." I said in worry. I was already feeling uncomfortable with what I am using and wearing. "Okay, then I'll ask Xavier." Anita said.Anita took me to her room. Ohio was up and with Xavier. Anita showed me her daughter's room and told me to find something that I need. I was hesitant but she said it's alright.I found a pack of sanitary pads. It was used but there were two pads left. I thank god. I took it and thanked Anita. I went into my room. I washed up and got ready for shopping. I wore my old clothes. It was washed and ironed.********Anita's POV-I bring Ohio and Xavier's coffee to Xavier's office."We are going on shopping today." I told Xavier as I put their coffees on the table."Who are we?" Xavier asked still looking at some papers."Me and Isabelle." I replied."No." He said looking at me."Why?" I asked."It's too dangerous for her." He said."But she needs so many things urgently." I said. He knew it. Why men are so dense."Any of the boys can go to buy them." He said."Sanitary pads?" I asked. Is he stupid, how it will look? And no will be ready for it."It will not be an issue for them." He said. Like it very normal thing for these guys to buy it. The guys who usually buy Durex will buy this. But if he had decided then no one can do anything. I have to make him understand in the language he understands."Okay, then ill give them her sizes also. She needs undergarments also." I said with Straight face.He keeps quiet for some moments then said. "Okay, you can go. But Mark and Ben are coming with you." He said.I mentally patted myself. I know very well how to deal with this kid."Okay, no problem." I said and left the room.*********Isabelle's POV-I left Eva at home. It is still dangerous outside. Mark and Ben were with us. It was quite for sometime but then Ben asked me something which got everyone's attention."Where is your family?" "I only had my parents. I was the only child and there are no relatives that I know of." I replied. "So what about your husband?" He asked again.I keep quiet. I don't know what to tell them yet. But they are the ones taking care of me so I desided to tell them."I haven't seen him for almost 5 years." I replied."But you told the boss that he is coming the next day." Mark said."It was just to scare Xavier." I replied. Anita and Mark chuckled at that but Ben shamelessly laughed at my stupidity to scare the most dangerous person in this whole state."Where are your parents now?" He asked again."My mom died when was very little and my dad died after he arranged my marriage with Richard. He must have thought that he is doing this for my safe future but how would he have known, that he unknowingly send me in hell." I said to myself. I can't even blame my father for what had happened in my life. "I am glad that he is not a part of our life now. I just feel sad for Eva. She didn't get the love of a father." I said again.Anita took my hand in her. I looked at her. She had tears in her eyes. Why is she...Then I felt a tear slide on my cheek. I said all this out loud. I didn't mean to. Everyone was quiet then. We reached the mall. I bought all the necessary toiletries. Then I bought some clothes for both of us. Thank god I had my card in the jeans. I always keep it in my pocket. It is more convenient.I tried to pay for everything but Mark didn't let me. Anita convinced me that it is Xavier's responsibility. He took me in.I couldn't say anything in front of three people. So I let it go.Next was lingeries. Mark and Ben had followed us in every shop but now what?I looked at Anita and she understood me."Why don't you both go and something to eat for us? We are feeling hungry. It's almost time for lunch." Anita said."No. Boss said to not let her go in front of our eyes even for a second.""Do you want to come inside with us in a lingerie shop? Or do you want to stand outside of that shop like a creep? Someone will call the police on you both." Anita said."Well I don't mind," Ben said. This guy is really shameless. But he is a kid. "What the hell is this. Okay, I am giving you only 30 minutes. Finish your purchasing. And you will stay here until we come to personly pick you both up." Mark said. With that, they both left."I know the drill, Mark," Anita reassured Mark.We went to the shop. I took four pairs. Two of them were in white and one was black and the fourth one was nude. I know it was nothing fancy but I had no plans of showing this to anyone so buying something expensive and fancy is useless for me. When Anita saw what I was buying. She strictly refused to let me buy it so to stop her nagging I bought black lace lingerie.When I was billing it, I saw a girl. She looked familiar. It was Letty. The girl Xavier supposed to kidnap.I walked after her. I went out of the shop but she was nowhere to find. When turned she was standing just in front of me. "Who are you? Why are you following me?" She asked threateningly."I am Isabelle. We exchanged our coats by mistake at the cafe a few days back. I said taking one step back. "It was no by chance." She whispered. "You knew... You knew if I took that coat with me then they will take me instead of you." I said in shock."No. I was not sure. I just shoot an arrow in the dark. It just hit the spot." She smirked.This woman has no shame."Do you know what I go through because of you?" I told her, still in shock."But doll, you are still alive. So that means it was nothing too bad." She replied. There was no remorse in her words."How could you say that? Now I have to live with Xavier because it is dangerous for me to stay alone." I said."So The boss is here with you?" She asked."No. Why would he come on the shopping with me? His people are with me." I replied."Where are they?" She asked."Why dod you want to know?" I asked. She just smirked at my question. I was having a bad feeling. How could I forget that she is a criminal?"I should go now." I said and started to walk towards the shop where Anita was. How can I be this stupid? Why the hell I was gossiping with her like she is my old friend. "Hey, doll. See you very soon." She said from behind.What the hell does that mean?I went to Anita. "We need to go right away." I told her."Why? What happened? Why are you looking so pale? What is the matter?" She asked.I told her what happened. She immediately called Mark. He told us they will be here in no time and true to their words they reached us in a few seconds.We exit the mall and went towards our car. We can hear many cars approaching us. The guys put the shopping bags in car's dicky.Ben covered for Anita and Mark for me. As he opened the car's door for me but we saw someone put the gunpoint in front of me. I was too shocked to react. Mark was the one to duck me down on time. He took me behind the car. Anita and Ben were there already. Ben was on the phone. Called for backup. Then I heard a groan coming from Mark. I looked at him. He was looking down.There was red liquid leaking from there. He groaned again. Then I realized he was shot. My breath was stopped. I was about to shout for help when he put his hand on my mouth. "Don't shout. Dont let them know that one of us is injured. It will boost them up." He said in a hoarse voice."Okay, okay. Please tell me what I can do? You must be in pain. I don't know what to do?" I said. I was shivering. He put his hand on my shoulder and patted on it."You just stay put. Help is coming. I and Ban will hold them up till then. You can"t get hurt." He said and took out his gun. Where did that come from? I didn't notice that.There were so many guns firing in open. At some point, I could only hear my heartbeat, Which was beating at an inhuman speed.What is going to happen now? Are we going to die here? Eva will be alone forever.
