Xavier's POV-Please, Isabelle. Please be safe.I had five men with me and was about to leave the house when my phone went off.It was Rocky. I answered it."Boss, something is not right here.""What do you mean?" I asked."Boss, a van arrived here and some men came out of it. But they are not entering the house. They are surrounding it from all sides." He replied."Who could be they?" I asked."I can't tell for sure but I think, I saw one of them. When we went to Letty's brothel. I am sure I saw him there among her men." He said."You. Keep a close eye on them. We will be there soon." I ordered him. "Yes, boss." We hung up."Now what?" Asked Mark."There are Letty's men, surrounding Isabelle's house. Who knows what she is planning now?" I replied.We get in different cars. We were about to reach when my phone started ringing again.It was an unknown number. I wanted to ignore but I still answered it."Hello," I said."Xavier, where are you?" It was Evangeline."First you tell me, how are you and your mom? No one is hurt, right?" I asked."Xavier..." Then she started crying. I heard some commotion."Hello, sir, please save them. They are in trouble. Richard is hurting Evangeline's mom." A boy answered the phone."Where are you two?" I asked. I hoped at least that kid was not hurt."We are hiding in a storage room." He replied."Do you know in which room is her mother?" I asked."No, sir. We have been hiding for a whole day. We... We just heard their crying." He said in a solemn voice."Is Evangeline hurt?" I asked worriedly."No, sir. I am keeping her safe." This boy was talking so maturely. It kind of made assured that my Princess is safe.We reached the house. We parked near Rocky's car. "Now listen kid. I am outside of the house. So I will take care of the things here, but you have to keep her safe. There will be bad things happening outside of your door. So you will stay there. I will send one of my men, his name is Ben. Evangeline knows him. Only then you will come out. Okay?" I told him. "Okay, sir." He said."Xavier, mama is hurt. I heard her crying. You will save her?""Yes, princess, I will save both of you but till then you have to stay in that room. I will see you soon." I said. They hung up first. I looked at my men. I send two groups to take care of the men around the house.There were gunshots all around the house. I have to finish this as soon as possible, I could not have that bastard be on alert and harm her. The four of us, me, Mark, Ben, and Lucas entered the house. The house was smelling like I entered some bar. The smell of alcohol, cigarettes, and drugs was so thick, it could be cut by a knife.That bastard must be not in his right state of mind. It made him more dangerous. Isabelle, please don't get hurt."Ben, you go and look for the kids. They are in some storage room. You have to keep them safe." I instructed him."With my life, boss." He then separated from us. "I will check the lower area. Most of the chances are that they are on the 1st floor." Mark said."We will go look on the 1st floor then." I and Lucas left the hall and went upstairs.There was no noise coming from anywhere. There were three doors in the corridor. I signaled Lucas to go and look in the rightmost door. I was standing in front of the leftmost door. We looked at each other and opened the door together.It was an empty room. I saw Lucas shook his head that means the middle one it was.We stood both sides of the door but before I could open it someone fired a gun from inside. Thank god we both were standing away from the door."You bastard, you think you can take her away from me and I will let you. If you tried to enter I will shoot her." He threatened."See, you bitch, your lover is here to save you but he will not be able to." His voice was shaking which means he is not sober. He must be looking at Isabelle, so I took that risk and kick open the door. As the door opened Lucas already had fired his gun. It hit that bastard's leg. He vailed in pain.Then I looked at her. And what I saw made me lose my balance. It was pure horror. There was a pool of blood around her body. She had cuts all over her naked body. I shivered with the thought of what that psycho has done to her. I get close to her, I took off my coat and covered her body. She didn't say a single word. She was laying there looking at the ceiling, silent tears were flowing down from the corner of her eyes.I saw Lucas dragging that bastard out of the room. I will kill him later. I again looked at her. She hadn't even looked at me, not even once. I put my hand on her face. She shivered but I knew it was not that pleasing shiver like before when she was with. This time it was out of fear. "It's me, love," I told her. She stopped her breath. It seemed like she is doing this on purpose. Her face went red.What the hell is she doing?"Isabelle. Stop it. Please, I am sorry. I know this is my fault. Please punish me as much you want but stop this." I shook her. I pulled her to me. With the sudden movement, her madness stopped. She took a deep breath.I put my arms around her. Then I felt them. The cuts, they were all over on her back too. That sick bastard will beg for his death. I will make him regret even borning in the world."Isabelle, now you are safe. He will never put a finger on you." I said to her.I made some distance between us so that she could see that I am here.  And in the end when she looked at me with those lifeless eyes. There was nothing in them, not even pain. It made my heart broke in a thousand pieces. That moment something died in me. It felt like I will fall apart."You are too late, Xavier." She said those words looking me in the eyes, then fall in my arms. She went unconscious.I failed her. I am responsible for this. I am seeing the only woman I ever loved laying lifelessly in my arms.A lone tear went down from my eyes. ***********Hello.It was heartbreaking. See you guys soon.
