"Maria's daughter is yours."
Dixon dropped another bombshell. Quincy stood in place like he was hit by a thunderstorm. He mumbled incredulously, "What did you say?"
"Maria's daughter is yours."
Dixon repeated, in an even colder tone than before. "Unfortunately, the girl's surname is Borris."
Quincy wanted to splash the wine on this arrogant man's face.
"Are you serious?"
Quincy's voice trembled a little. He subconsciously said, "God, I didn't even know she was pregnant." "Congratulations to you, and to me. She set up a one-night stand with me once she knew she was pregnant, misleading me to think the baby was mine."
Dixon wasn't sure whom he was mocking, "It's pretty cool. The child is yours, but the last name is mine. I wonder who was the third wheel."
It was so funny to say that.
The two of them were being played around by Maria.
"So why don't you deal with her?"
"Because, on her own, she couldn't have done this."
Dixon frowned, "There's someone else behind her. I need to draw them out."
"Well..." Quincy stood up in a flash, "I want to see my daughter."
"Sadly, she calls me Daddy."
"You fucking..." Quincy went up and grabbed Dixon by the collar, "Why didn't you tell me earlier? Hmm? I'm taking her to get a paternity test!"
"What if I'm telling the truth?"
Dixon looked Quincy straight in the eye, "If she is really the daughter of you and Maria, how are you going to treat her"
"I..." Quincy froze for a moment, "Of course... I'll..."
The girl was born to Maria. Would he still be able to treat her as affectionately as he did to Victor?
He could treat the child of Sonia and Dixon well. But facing the child of Maria and himself, he couldn't do it calmly!
Quincy clenched his fist. Seeing him like this, Dixon understood, "I get it. I will not tell Elinor the truth for now. When you figure it out someday, come to my place and take her away."
Quincy sat down in dismay, "How could this happen? I thought I had a clean break with Maria."
"What you thought was a clean break was, in fact, nothing more than her premeditated plan."
Dixon looked at the frustrated man. What could be more hurtful than learning that the mother of his child was a vicious, poisonous woman?
He couldn't accept the child for a moment.
Moreover... He didn't want to admit the child at all.
"How do you know that?"
Quincy poured himself a glass of wine, "Maria came to the door with the child and said it was yours. According to the way you believed in her at the beginning, you should not be suspicious."
Dixon also poured a drink and toasted with him, "Yeah, I was in the game and lost my judgment. I didn't suspect Elinor's identity because Maria set up that one-night stand that made me think I had sex with her. So, it's not surprising that there's a child."
He paused and then continued, "But Jarvis, who is not in our game with Maria, found right away that Elinor and you looked alike. So, I went to check it out later..."
Quincy clutched his head in chagrin, "It's over. If Sonia knows that I have a child with Maria, I'll never have a chance with her."
Dixon's eyes changed. He raised his voice, "How dare you fucking think about Sonia?!"
