23.Sweet lips

The most awkward position, I woke up when I had my legs tangled up with Shaub, my so called husband. By the rigid breathing, I feel that he too was awake but why didn't he want to remove it?

And I tried to sleep, but the awkward position took all my sleep away, and then I noticed his right hand holding my left hand, like a lost boy.

Strange feelings engulfed me, so I hastily removed his hand and get up to untangle our leg. And I could tell that he was watching my all moves but I didn't know why he didn't react.

I then walked inside the washroom and started getting ready for the bright day. And when I came outside, Shaub had already gotten ready and our breakfast has already arrived.

What's more, is that the greatest jerk is waiting for me? I just looked at him with a shocked expression and then he clears his throat and gestured me to sit down.

Acting like a gentleman, he served me the food and we started eating it. Nobody speaks a word for a while and half way through the breakfast I heard him speak something which I hadn't think that I will ever hear from that big bad mouth.

"Thanks." He said with great difficulty subsiding his greatest pride.

"What?" I asked not believing my own ears.

"Umm..Thanks for the night." With that said he wiped his mouth and headed towards the living area.

Then my mobile rang and it was a call from Nicho. "Hello! Nicho. How are you?"

"I'm good. Hope you two are having fun there. Today, you gonna meet the lovely couple, excited are we?" He asked sounding excited from the other side.

I seriously don't know about today's plan so I kept quiet. Then Nicho spoke again "Where is the young man? Is he with his girl?"

"Huh.." I asked when I did not understand his words.

"Haha..just kidding. He must be busy with his laptop, his girl. Maybe now that you have married him, he will give more time to you." He laughed heartily and I too laughed along with him.

If he only he knew what our relationship is?

"And Choco. Take good care of him and separate him from his girl. Take the advantage of being his wife, you will surely win." I just laughed and I hung up saying okay.

I then turned around and collide with something hard and when I looked up to see his beautiful blue eyes which were showing many emotions but was difficult to predict.

"We are having lunch with Mr. and Mrs.Ethan. Get ready." He said scratching his neck and glanced at my lower part, which was burnt.

"I'm fine. It's not that severe." I answered his unasked question.

He just looks bewildered and afterward went to his girl. Nowadays, the laptop has taken person place. Just How advanced humans have become?

And I didn't have anything else to do so I got ready for lunch and then we went towards the lobby.

We were walking side by side with no one speaking but suddenly a hand snaked on my waist and I gasped at sudden impact. I then looked up to find it was Shaub's hand and he was glaring at the men from yesterday.

His hold my waist tighten and pulled me more closer to him. His cologne hit me and it makes me feel utterly different. The couple at the side saw us and look lovingly at us. Shaub then introduced me as his wife and that's made my stomach flutter with happiness.

Choco! Does the stomach flutter with happiness?

I gave a beautiful smile to the couple as they complimented me and we then went to the restaurant to have our lunch. Those two were love struck and even in their late 40's, they seemed to act like teenagers. They were frank and love each other more than anything.

Mr.Ethan shared their first honeymoon experience and it made us to laughed out loud. They two have different choices and have frequent arguments but ended up making their relationship more strong. I wished that they will always be in love like this until their end.

The whole lunch Shaub was giving me looks which I had never seen him giving before and it made me feel quite odd to have my food. Then the two gentlemen excused us to do some business and Mrs.Ethan and I were the ones left to chat.

"It's is nice to meet you, Mrs.Ethan." I said with a genuine smile.

"Darling, call me Wendy and I feel great to meet a gorgeous woman like you. Shaub must have fallen hard for you. And I like your attitude." She gave me an amused smile.

"Sorry. But What's with my attitude?" I couldn't stop myself but to ask her.

"It's okay. I can tell that you're the hardcore and beautiful person from inside and outside who can handle our stubborn Shaub." She said looking at me and then continue,

"I have seen him with other girls around but with you he is different. The looks that he gave you and how he glared at the men, say more than you can think. He and my husband had been partners for 5 years now and I could tell that he isn't what he shows." I stare at her blankly and a few minutes later, she shows me her happy family pictures.

Wendy talked about her family and tell me that it made her feel lonely when her husband busies himself in work. And she would busy herself while going shopping and meeting her friends. So to pass the time we decided to go shopping. I then messaged Shaub telling him that we are heading to the mall and his reply came in a minute.

I didn't shop much for myself but bought somethings for my friends and my family as I didn't like to dress up like a model and I have enough clothes to wear. But Wendy made me buy cream colored gown and the men join us after we headed to the cafe.

"I'm sorry Shalifa that I ruined your honeymoon by taking him away but I have make up for it. You two will have a special dinner date tonight and you will surely enjoy it." Mr.Ethan told us and I thank him for it.

I then get dressed up for the night wearing the gown I had bought earlier and applied minimal makeup making a cute side bun. And the dinner date went in silence and we return back to our suite. At night Shaub tried to sleep without taking the medicine but he still finds it difficult so I again repeated yesterday's massage and slept maintaining a nice distance.

The next day I walked out after having our lunch and roamed around the hotel as most of the time he was busy doing his work. This man can't live a second without his laptop. It's good that he is hardworking but he stressed himself so much that he would soon end up getting sick.

After strolling around I went back to the suite and saw him jumping like a child while watching soccer. I too decided to not miss the fun as it's my favorite sport. My little brother and I used to cheer up for our team and would always make a bet making the losers do all the housework. So, I hurriedly went to the kitchen and brought chips and juice, and join him on the sofa.

The game was fun to watch and coincidentally he and me were cheering up for the same team. We cheered up for the same player and fight over the chips like a child. We laughed, yelled, argued, and moreover we enjoyed the time together. I saw a different side of him, playful and cheerful Shaub Reghen which normal people would want to witness. We were so indulge in the game that we forget what position we got into and we separated once the game ended. Sadly, we lose by 1 goal but I felt like our unfortunate marriage make its first goal.

Likewise, four days pass away and on the fifth day, Shaub told me that we were being stalked and the stalkers were sent by Nicho. He was suspicious of our marriage so now we need to act as if we're madly in love so Shaub took me outside. He took me to Eiffel Tower and to the places he has visited before and it was fun spending so much time with the cheerful Shaub.

And we didn't have one stalker but a group of them. The media were also here to keep track of the heartthrob billionaire and they would surely snap some pictures. We too snapped some pictures, some funny and some intimate, note intense but touching freely like a close friend. The media were not leaving us alone so Shaub decided to disguise him and wear shorts and a tee which makes him look like a tourist and the hat made him look kind of hot. I too wore the sunglasses and a floral knee length gown and Shaub took his camera to look match his attire.

After that, we were successful to mislead them but they were trying their best to spot us. We laugh alone and eat ice-cream and street food and the fun was double when he took us to the lake. It was afternoon and the sun was going to set which makes the scenario more romantic. We sat at the edge, putting our legs inside the water and seeing the beauty around. I was playing with the water when I accidentally it drop on Shaub.

"Sorry." I instantly apologized but he too splashed water on me.

Then it turned into a water fight and we laughed when one gets wets. He was winning so I pushed him to the side and ran away but he caught me halfway and I collide with his hard chest. My breath got hitched and we look intensely at each other.

Far away some couples were playing romantic songs and dancing which made the whole scene more heated. I hadn't felt the same with other men but he seems to be different. My body wants to be touch but my mind finds it disgusted. His gaze then went towards my lips and without warning, he kissed me. This time his lips move and I remained firm but he suddenly pulled me making me open my mouth and he kissed me hard. Shiver ran down my whole body and butterflies erupted in my stomach.

No..no.. this can't happen. He is a player and you can't get trapped in his game.

I then pushed him and he stumbled backward. Hurt was evident in his eyes but he masked it with amusement. I turned around feeling embarrassed recalling our encounter. I can't let him have his way.

"What a sweet lips like a..." I heard him whisper which made me leave the place and now after one day, everything will get to its place.
