Ittle One Calls Me Daddy âIâm glad that youâre aware of it.â
Waylon was lying with his eyes closed. He weakly waved his finger and urged, âQuickly move out. I canât bear with you for another day.â
Doris was speechless.
Itâs my idea to move out, but heâs eager to drive her out now. Iâm so sad. I and the babies are still homeless after being through so much.
Before her tears flowed down, she forcibly held them back.
Whatâs the big deal? Iâll start looking for a new place tomorrow. As long as I work hard and make money, Iâm sure I can raise the babies on my own.
âOkay, I hear you. Donât worry, Iâll start looking for a place when the day breaks.â
âIâm tired, you can go now,â Waylon said.
âDonât forget to close the door and turn off the lights.
Doris replied, âIâll leave after you fall asleep. Iâm worried that you might throw up again. Iâll watch until you fall asleep.â
She irritated him, but he was too worn out to say anything.
He was exhausted. Despite the horrible taste of the herbal soup, it worked amazingly.
He had already dozed off before Doris could finish.
The next morning, Waylon woke up a little late. He got dressed, then headed downstairs.
As she exited the kitchen, Mrs. Jamison remarked, âMs. Doris told me before she left that youâre not.
feeling well. I have prepared some oatmeal for you. Is that alright?â
âUh-huh,â Waylon nodded.
âThen Iâll serve it to you. Are two soft-boiled eggs sufficient for you?â
âJust one,â Waylon replied, âI have little appetite.â
âOkay.â
Mrs. Jamison complied and quickly went back to the kitchen to serve the oatmeal, peeled the boiled egg. and prepared toast for him.
Waylon was about to walk toward the dining table when he saw Mrs. Flores playing with the twins in the living room.
He walked over leisurely.
When the kids saw him, they excitedly stretched their arms and babbled.
His heart jolted abruptly.

J Doris constantly caused trouble for him, but the children were quite adorable.
Involuntarily, he walked over. He touched Unaâs cheek and rubbed Nessaâs head. Both babies showed their tiny teeth while giggling at him.
Mrs. Flores remarked joyfully, âThe little one can say mommy now. She can say it clearly.â
âReally?â Waylon curiously squatted down. âThey only come to the world for a few days, but they can speak so quickly?â
âYou find it difficult to believe? Give it a try,â Mrs. Flores urged with a smile, âThey pick it up very quickly.
Waylon held Unaâs chubby hand and wanted to hear the little one say âMommyâ. Then, it occurred to him. that she shouldnât call him âmommy, so he blurted out, âSay daddy, Una, say daddy.â
Sure enough. Una cooperatively cooed, âDaddy.â
Mrs. Flores exclaimed, âSee, I told you so. Una is calling you Daddy.â
Waylon finally realized what he had done. He quickly got to his feet.
This is absurd! How could I ask the child to call me Daddy?
I just gave her a test, but she can do it.â
Waylon pretended to be indifferent and walked toward the dining table.
Behind him. Una continued to coo with a baby voice, âDaddy! Daddy!â
His heart pounded. He was desperately tempted to return, kiss Una, and hold her.
How on earth could this little one touch my heart?
Another voice spoke in his heart.
Why should that troublemakerâs child call you Daddy? What wishful thinking! Did she not nearly kill you last night? Hmph, she needs to quickly move out! Out of sight, out of mind!
He received a call as soon as he sat down at the dining table. He picked it up, and it was Emmeline calling.
He grinned and quickly responded in a gentle voice, âEmma?â
âWaylon, Doris took the day off. She mentioned that she needed to look for a house. Whatâs wrong between you two again?â
Waylon frowned and said, âEmma, I donât like how that sounds. What do you mean by âwhatâs wrong between you two again? To begin with, Doris and I are not related. Sheâs free to do whatever she wants. What does it have to do with me?
