Paul got excited when he received the news from Benjamin. Tears swept into his eyes. If the Wonder Doctor decided to help Flynny, he would be saved!
The next morning. Emmeline and Abel and Benjamin arrived at the Murphy familyâs residence.
Emmeline checked on Flynn after entering his room. From what I saw, I sensed something unusual in his abdomen.
However, Paul stated that they had gone through various examinations and only found erosion in Flynnâs intestines. They were clueless about the cause of it.
âThis is not a lesion.â Emmeline said in a low voice. âIt seems like something was wrong with his body.â
âWhere is it?â Paul asked.
âThe navel, Emmeline replied.
âBut how could Flynny get injured?â Mrs. Murphy frowned and said, âNo one dares to harm him! The nanny cleans him daily, and thereâs no visible injury on him!â
Emmeline said calmly. âLift the blanket and take off his clothes. I want to check on his navel.â
Mrs. Murphy quickly bent down and unbuttoned Flynnâs pajamas.
Emmeline bent her head to check his navel as well. Just as I thought! The navel is slightly swollen, with some light yellow fluid seeping out.
âItâs here!â Emmeline said, âFlynnâs navel is injured. Quickly bring me gauze, cotton wool, and iodine!â
Mrs. Murphy quickly told the nanny, âHurry up! Do as the Wonder Doctor says!â
The nanny did as instructed, soon returning with cotton wool, gauze, and iodine.
Emmeline dried the fluid from Flynnâs navel and found an ulcerated wound. She frowned and pondered what she saw in the wound. Who could be so cruel as to do this to Flynn?
Emmeline said, âSomeone must have inserted something sharp into Flynnâs navel. However, his navel shouldnât be examined during regular checks.â
Mrs. Murphy was stunned after listening to Emmeline. She almost fainted. Why is life so tough for Flynn?
Paul asked Emmeline, âWonder Doctor, now that youâve identified the issue, what should we do?â
Emmeline replied. âItâs simple. Take him to the hospital and surgically remove the object.â
Paul immediately contacted Murphy Hospital and urgently sent Flynn over there.
After X-rays, they found a needle just below Flynnâs navel. After the surgery, it turned out to be a sewing needle.
Mrs. Murphy fainted at the news. Who could be so wicked us to harm Flynny like this?
Paul remained calm, although he was worried and heartbroken.
He called the nanny immediately.
The nanny was terrified and said. âMr. Murphy, Iâve been with the Murphy family for years and helped raise Mr. Flynn. Why would I harm him?â
âThink carefully,â Paul said. âAside from you, who else has been near Flynny?â
âOnly you and Mrs. Murphy. No other people have entered this room.â
âThink again,â Paul said, âDid you forget someone?â
The nanny suddenly remembered and said. âErin helped me to clean Mr. Flynn when the day Ms.
Lizbeth returned.â
âErin? Why did you let her into Flynnyâs room?â
The nanny explained, âI met her in the corridor and she kindly offered to help. I thought itâd be difficult for me alone to clean Mr. Flynn, so I agreed.â
âIdiot!â Paul said angrily. âShe canât be trusted!â
Paul felt upset.
