The studio required a week or more to process the photos, so Abel left them a delivery address.
After lunch, he took Emmeline to the car dealership and ordered an imported luxury version of the Ford Focus.
Once the procedures were completed, the car dealership would ship the car to Altney and handle the number plate replacement process with the local car dealer.
That was all he could do.
Upon their return to Altney, he would notify Albus to take the car, the money, and Emmeline back.
He felt like crying.
Emma is the love of my life. Do I have to give her, along with the gifts I prepared away to another man with my own, hands?
He began to doubt himself. Itâhat kind of man does that?
Abel made plans for their return once they arrived back at the hotel.
He needed to stop by Sandwell to see Paul on their way back to Altney.
First, he needed to pick up some intent orders. Then, he had to collect goods for Emmelineâs clothing showroom.
As he carefully planned this out, he realized that it would take at least three more days to return to Altney.
The next morning, he took the initiative to pick up his prescription at the clinic without Emmeline having to remind him.
After that, the two finally embarked on their journey back and arrived in Sandwell at 7 p.m.
Paul arranged dinner. Abel met up with a few clients and struck a deal with them.
Meanwhile, Emmeline had also placed an order for goods from a fashion brand. The goods would be shipped out afterwards.
The next day, the two returned to Altney and went straight back to their house.
They had been away for more than a week. Afraid that the two would elope, Kimberly almost called them every day to check on them.
âIâll commit suicide if the two of you run away together, and you donât even need to bother with my funeral âMom,â Emmeline called out patiently, yet her eyes were red with emotion. âWeâre already on our way back.â
âThen burry up and come back homelâ
âOkay. Donât worry. Weâll be there soon.â
Maxwell recovered well after what happened to him. There were no other lingering effects aside from a slight limp in his walk.
âEmma told me about the situation in Luminara. I believe you have it all worked out, Abel?â Maxwell looked at Abel.
âThe manufacturer agreed to replenish the stock.â Abel answered. âWeâll sell all the defective products to Natrya to minimize losses. I also reached a cooperation agreement with a few manufacturers from Sandwell and struck a great deal. It just recovers the loss.â
âThatâs good to hear. Maxwell commented, âYour company is still growing. You shouldnât aim to become rich overnight. The first thing is to build a solid foundation before you think about making a profit.
Kimberly could help but lament after she heard their conversation.
If it wasnât for Emma, you wouldâve become a big shot in Altney Steel.â
âKimberly!â Maxwell scolded, What nonsense are you talking about?â
âDad!â Emmeline exclaimed in surprise. âWhat does she mean? How does it have anything to do with me?â
âForget about your momâs nonsense. Maxwell dismissed her question with a disdainful look towards.
Kimberly.
âYou always side with her.â Kimberly huffed before she went into the kitchen..
Maxwell lit a cigarette and told Abel. âAlbus has set a date. Itâll be on the tenth of this month.â
Abel nodded, averting his eyes. Iâve got everything ready. Just ask Albus to come over before the engagement and take everything âItâs going to cost a fortune. Maxwell remarked, âDonât worry about the cash. Iâll prepare it for Emma.â
âI insist, Abel protested. âYou can stay out of this.â
Maxwell pondered and finally nodded. âAll right. Iâll save my money for your wedding.â
Emmeline got up with a pout and puffy eyes before she went to the study room.
She was getting engaged to Albus, while Abel would marry someone else one day, She felt so powerless against the cruel reality.
Before Abel could follow her, Maxwell spoke up. âAbel, you should go see your family sometime.â
âWhy so sudden?â Abel frowned at the words, his eyes filled with sadness. âThey never care about me.
I would be long forgotten if I never tried to visit them once a year.â
âA few days ago, the provincial TV station aired a program that introsaced entrepreneurs from all over the youâve â country,â âMaxwell explained. âPeople from your hometown saw you on TV and found out that become an entrepreneur. Your brother called and asked me about it.
Abel sneered. Youâre telling me this is the only recognition I received just because I became an entrepreneurt Right. Iâm rich and powerful now. But what about my past? Has nobody cared about how survived all these years?
If it werenât for Maxwell taking him in, he wouldâve become a homeless child.
